lovenox

330481 tn?1309488243 I have it but I am on 3mg folic acid along with prenatal and baby aspirin. No one has said this caused my 3 losses. But then again i was not diagnosed until after the 3rd.
Avatar n tn I dont know anything about the lovenox but im sure your Dr knows whats best for you.
Avatar m tn With my last son I took lovenox for blood clots that I had with my first son (m/c in between) and then I was switched to heparin in the last 10 weeks. I am not sure if they are going to have to take it this pregnancy but it didn't hurt to take it. Better to be safe!
Avatar f tn Hello I was wondering if anyone in here has been diagnosed with MTHFR and if so what does your doctor have you taking? I have had 6 m/c and have tested positive for MTHFR, but my doc tells me that there is little know about it. I have read up on it and it seems that I need to be on extra Folic Acid, B6, B12 and 81 mg aspirin, but my doc said that I didn't need those so he wouldn't give them to me???? Can anyone help with this situation???????
1227139 tn?1462334630 Approximately 44% of the population is heterozygous and another approximate 12% are homozygous for the MTHFR mutation. Even though MTHFR mutations can affect each person very differently, compound heterozygous and homozygous MTHFR have the highest incidences of being linked to implantation failure, late term miscarriages, specific birth defects and overall vascular health.
1563422 tn?1295063450 Think of it this way, I was having so much trouble with miscarriages before this pregnancy and also two of the three losses were implantation failures which are likely attributable to the MTHFR according to my OB and my own research. It was for this reason I was referred to a MTHFR specialist to see if I should actually start Lovenox before conceiving in order to help me achieve a proper implantation that wouldn't fail.
287479 tn?1272730364 I am 22 and I have had three miscarriages in the past year. I've never gotten past 6 weeks. My doctor did a batch of bloodwork on me, as well as shooting dye into my uterus and tubes. Everything in my blood work came back fine, except I have MTHFR, which is a blood clotting disorder. We finally feel ready to try again. My doctor gave me a prescription for Lovenox 40mgs once a day. Plus I'm on Folic Acid. Has anyone taken this and had a sucess story?
1085628 tn?1326551885 I had been doing my research as to what can cause recurrent miscarriage, and I was leaning towards MTHFR for some reason - just based on other things I had experienced. So, I fibbed...lol...I called the midwife and told her that I was friends with someone at the lab and that they told me that typically when they test for all of these other things, they also test for MTHFR...so, she added it on. THANK GOD.
Avatar m tn MTHFR mutations, C677T and A1298C information found give pretty much the same explanation; forums understandably give the best outcomes and successes. But, would like to know the other side of the coin as well. Birth defects, what kind, has anyone out here had negative outcomes with these pregnancies?
Avatar f tn I was positive for MTHFR (i believe heterozygous) and was told to start a Rx prenatal vit with increased folic acid, plus 2 folic acid supplements, and asa81 mg. ANnnnnnnd if i was to become pregnant, i would be on lovenox inj. I have read mixed reviews about this "disorder". My question is, does this really affect pregnancy? Are there studies correllating it with higher incidence of miscarriage? and do folic acids reallyy help?
Avatar f tn Hello Tif, I have the MTHFR Compound mutation of C677T and A1298C. I am on 30mgs Lovenox twice a day, baby aspirin and 5mg Folic Acid prenatal along with B complex vitamin 100mgs. I have had a sensitive stomach for years having had a ulcer from taking anti-inflammatory (NSAIDS) over the many past years. Aspirin is hard on the stomach as it does the same thing as NSAIDs - irritate the stomach.
Avatar f tn Had I originally been made aware of this disorder long ago, potentially I may have experienced better outcomes with my pregnancies and other complications that are likely effected by these mutations. I also test + for a single copy of the MTHFR A 1298C. Would love to understand more. I hope your treatment proves successful and pregnancy goes well!
374593 tn?1257879950 ** I found this on another site, and it applies to me. I have suffered 2 'early miscarriages', then was diagnosed with MTHFR. I also take Lovenox injections with each IVF cycle. I am compound heterozygous for MTHFR and take one baby aspirin and 4 mg of folic acid every day. This is a safety issue as MTHFR is "inherited thrombophilia" and makes us somewhat more likely than others to have health issues that relate to blood clots (such as heart attacks, strokes, DVT's...
1227139 tn?1462334630 The injections for Lovenox are subcutaneous (just under the skin) and are not painful at all. They have designed the needles to be very tiny to lessen and minimize any pain and I have to say, they have done a remarkable job. If you are worried about taking the injections, please keep in mind that they might just save your baby and any clotting (which can be very likely in the placenta) especially if you have the C677T variant. Good luck to everyone!
Avatar f tn Has anyone had a successful pregnancy having severe endo and homozygous for MTHFR C677T? I had a miscarriage (first pregnancy) at week 10 last month. I was on baby asprin and Folgard 2.2 pre-pregnancy. I started on Lovenox at week 4 of prenancy and Prometrium weeks 6-10. I've had 2 Laperoscopies for the endo. Been seeing a fertility doc for 2 years - trying to get pregers for 5 years. I'm worried I will have more M/C. Just need to know pregers is possible.
Avatar f tn I take a prescription for PregVit, which is a high level Folic Acid prenatal vitamin by prescription which includes all the prenatal vitamins and the 200 times amount of Folic Acid which you need being MTHFR. These were musts for me for conception. ALSO, I was instructed to take Baby Aspirin which helped as a blood thinner and I also learned I must take this regardless of pregnancy just because of the MTHFR.
1227139 tn?1462334630 After finding out about MTHFR and 3 consecutive losses, I had been sent to two MTHFR specialists here in Toronto and also a high risk perinatal OB/Gyn who have me on 40mg Lovenox and LD (81mg) baby aspirin along with the increased Folic Acid and Vitamin B complex BUT - I just read that taking any form or Aspirin can be responsible for boys having problems with low sperm count along with undescended testes.
490183 tn?1361213953 I also have hetero MTHFR and I tested pos for that after 2nd m/c. I take a prenatal, b6, folic (800mcg) and a baby asprin everyday, at the same time, 10 am. I had my third m/c last august but I wonder if I m/c because I hadn't been taking my asprin because I ran out and DH and I weren't trying to conceive at the time so I didn't rush to get more, then I found out I was pregnant and rushed right out to buy some but lost that pregnancy at 6 weeks also.

Avatar f tn Perhaps if he wont consider the blood thinner shots such as Lovenox (low weight molecular Haparin) you could try him with baby Aspirin which many people take daily and it is said that those who have MTHFR issues should take Baby Aspirin for the rest of their lives. I take a baby aspirin 12 hours after I have my Lovenox shot, just to cover the 12 hours after the shot - as is shown in medical literature that Lovenox or any blood thinner should be taken every 12 hours. Just a few more thoughts.
286207 tn?1249282027 i have mthfr and when i was ttc and during my last pregnancy i took lovenox injections. my last pregnancy ended in miscarriage, just like my other 3. however, they think it was due to my progesterone not being high enough. we've decided that we dont want to try to have children now. hope things work out for you!
