Is it common to have a PE with no evidence of a DVT? Am I realisticly looking at Lovenox for the rest of my life? I am a 32 year old male with no prior history and according to the doctors in good health. A few women on my mother's side have had DVT's around childbirth, but to my knowledge, noone has shown any genetic predisposition that can be identified.
im 10wks 6days. Last week i went to the doctor and they put me on lovenox. I had a past history of clotts. PE to be exact . Im super excited because my baby heartbeat was 180. What is the average delay time I can expect? Like 5 times more than normal, so now if I can last 20 mins in sex without ejaculation, with this medicine it can prolong to 1 hour of sex before ejaculation?
A DVT usually causes PE not a stroke, but since you are at risk for clots in general with your condition, you are at risk for both PE and strokes. That is why you need to be on warfarin. You can also discuss with a hematologist if baby aspirin is a possibility, but I think they're going to say warfarin for life. When the clot is dissolved you can redo the testing to confirm that you really have this condition.
I was given Lovenox and cumiden for a leg blood clot for six days. After the sixth day I was told to no longer take any of the medications. I experienced headaches. I went to the hospital for blood work and a cat scan. All turned up well. My blood reading was INR 1.83 and pro time 21.7. I am now experiencing lack of energy, slight fever. What can I do?

I was on lovenox for a short period of time. I could not find a spot for the injection that didn't make me cry. I'm sorry you are going through this.hopefully they can switch you to the heparin by mouth instead. They told me that they normally keep ppl on the lovenox until wk 37 b.c it's longer acting and then the heparin after that b.c it's out of your system faster and is safer foe delivery bit maybe you can get switched earlier?

s a pulmonary and critical care specialist at st johns hospital, springfield, spoke to the docs and told them that SVT cannot be the case and its more likely PE given the history, only for the docs to refuse it..they thought it was SVT due to the rapid HR and they started treating her for the same...it doesnt make it right, when they are following the procedure for an SVT treatment to the letter for a patient suffering from PE...
Checked with interactions on a couple of websites for sudafed, not sure about the pe. You can type the ingredients individually on these sites too. I called my specialty pharmacy when I had a cough, maybe you can call yours.
In the end, I avoided taking anything, just lozenges, saline rinse with neti pot and hot liquids helped....I was afraid of piling anxiety on top of everything a these meds sometimes leave me a little racey.
Your doctors should make every effort to identify the source of the blood clot and the reason(s) for its formation. This is a very treatable medical condition and you should currently and for some weeks or even months to come, be on an anti-coagulant medicine to thin your blood.
If the reason the blood clot formed has not been determined, you should have further evaluation.
I was treated with Lovenox and Coumadin and discharged on Xarelto. Does the clot in my heart still pose a threat to my health. I have been on Xarelto for about four days. Hi, we've been TTC for about 5-6 years. I was diagnosed with "Tubal Issues" at first. Then FSH started increasing, too soon for my age (28). DH has low morphology and motility. We've had 2 failed IVfs. First one resulted in negative pregnancy test after transfer of 2good quality blasts. 2nd one,,again 2 Grade A blasts, one attached and resulted in miscarriage at 8 weeks (no heartbeat).
I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.
I dont know anything about the lovenox but im sure your Dr knows whats best for you.
To tell you the truth Im not for sure why Im taking Lovenox...we have 2 children and had no problems getting pregnant,etc..For some reason when I turned 30 I had three mc back to back..we were going to a fertility specialist and finally was able to get pregnant again the doc put me on lovenox,baby aspirin, and progesterone..looks like everything is going fine with this pregnancy..Im 9.3 weeks due Feb 21st.
I had ear tubess inserted recently (on Feb. 2, 2010) to help relieve 6 months of ear blockage (no fluids were found by the doctor and I haven't had any ear infections). My symtoms are now worse. Anyone else have experience with PE tubes for ear blockage (I'm guessing I have Eustachain tube dysfunction). More on my background below:

Does anyone know if there is any correlation between a blood clot and hypothyroid/synthroid? i haven't found anything online. I know some people get DVT, pulmonary embolism from Birth Control and i know that thyroid/synthroid stuff is hormone related but is there any significance or anything documented about hypothyroid/synthroid etc.. and pulmonary embolism? I can't find a reason why this happened to me. I had a PE a few weeks ago with no DVT and docs can't find a reason for it??
