lovenox

Avatar f tn i give birth 6 weeks ago i had blood clots in my lungs they gave me lovenox inj? the medicaid was covering it, but now after my pregnancy ended they stoped the medicaid and i cannot afford seeing the dr or the inj. i still got 5000mg heparin but i dont use because after my pregnancy ended they swithed me to lovenox i now take only asprin 325mg am i at risk what can do about it !!
Avatar f tn t really need to take baby aspirin if I am on the Lovenox but VERY IMPORTANT thing was this, if you (like me in the beginning) are only taking one dose of Lovenox per day, you are not covering off your entire 24 hours since Lovenox is very short lived in the body (only 12 hours). So, since I was changed to twice a day it wasn't really necessary for me to also take the baby aspirin which I was taking to cover off the missing 12 hours in the beginning.
Avatar n tn Hi there. Went today for my 31 week appt and my ob had mentioned that we switch from lovenox to heparin at about 36 weeks. I'm on lovenox for factor 5 with history of a blood clot. She also then recommended induction at 39 weeks.... the heparin would be a good idea if an epidural was needed/wanted but it's more cost and twice a day rather than once. I'm really focused on a natural delivery but understand that plans can change suddenly.
Avatar f tn Sorry I don't have Kaiser health insurance, maybe someone else here does, but those prices sound about right. Those are your "co-pay costs", the "actual cost" is thousands of dollars per month as you have heard. I had Blue Cross of California during treatment and my co-pay cost were similar to the prices you quoted.
148588 tn?1465778809 With only 10 to 30 grams of Sovaldi needed for successful treatment, the difference from the $30 production cost for Gilead’s full course of treatment—30 grams x $1.00 per gram—to $84,000 for the 12-week treatment program represents a retail markup of 279,000%.) Weinstein’s letter to state Medicaid directors also reminds them that, “Gilead did not pay to research and develop Sovaldi. In 2011, it purchased Pharmasset, the company that had already developed the drug, for $11 billion in cash.
Avatar m tn I called my cardiologist and they said to just go back on atenolol regular dose, 25 mg once per day. I hope this stuff gets out of my system quickly. What should I do?
Avatar f tn ve done, but they put you on lovenox. Were you on 40mgs a day? How about baby aspirin? Folic acid supplements and your prenatals? I did three IVF's (no PGD). I was on gonal f, antagon, menaour, steroids, baby aspirin, lovenox (after a positive pregnancy test), progesterone shots (until week 12), folgard (folic acid supplements--was on these the whole pregnancy), and my prenatal. An IVF cycle, depending on the protocol you follow, will take on average 6-8 weeks.
Avatar f tn I have since talked to my friend who i mention in my last post and she was on heparin twice a day but wanted to be on lovenox as its just once a day... but its more money... and she had to skip her last injection so there was 12 hours before her induction... it is stupid that your covered for lovenox but not heparin... especially if its cheaper?! But anyway im sure it will all get worked out... congrats and good luck!!!
Avatar m tn Thanks so much for your in-put! Did you also have to have your protime 2 or 3 for four weeks before the procedure? That is what is killing us! I am also worried about having no reduction in the atrial fib. beats for so long. Medicare will only pay for a protime test once a week. Scares me also.
Avatar n tn I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.
Avatar n tn 1) Have you ever heard of lovenox injections to prevent further clots in stents and 2) what are the risks from lovenox to her relatively healthy kidneys (after 30+ yrs of diabetes)? Thank you for your good advice. You were the only Dr. who said E.R.
287479 tn?1272730364 I am 22 and I have had three miscarriages in the past year. I've never gotten past 6 weeks. My doctor did a batch of bloodwork on me, as well as shooting dye into my uterus and tubes. Everything in my blood work came back fine, except I have MTHFR, which is a blood clotting disorder. We finally feel ready to try again. My doctor gave me a prescription for Lovenox 40mgs once a day. Plus I'm on Folic Acid. Has anyone taken this and had a sucess story?
Avatar f tn I am pregnant. Well 9 weeks to be exact. I am on lovenox because of blood clot. How about you? and how do you feel?
513660 tn?1217171919 That said, though, I have Factor V, and will have to take Lovenox once I get pregnant again...but for now, I just take a baby aspirin every day. Since Lovenox is a blood thinner, there i a risk of hemorrhage, so it really just depends on how easily your blood clots. Best of luck to you, and welcome to the forum!
Avatar f tn I am extremely afraid I was told by my md that I would have to take 5 insulin shots a day today .. when I asked other doctors they said my numbers isnt bad .. I absolutely hate needles im just glad to be close to the end .. have anyone ever been through this feed back is greatly appreciated. ..
1569985 tn?1328247482 I have to go off my Warfarin for a colonoscopy. The cardiologist's nurse said ask the doctor doing the procedure how long I should be off of the Warfarin. Doctor says ask the assistant when she gives me my instructions. Assistant says, "Oh, I'm supposed to tell you? Do you need a bridge medication like Lovenox?" Makes me a little nervous going off of it anyway and now this.
645220 tn?1233764146 I am so glad i found a site that sounds like everyone is having the same types of issues i am having. I am going on day 5 now of the lovenox injection. I cry horribly every time. Does the more skin you pinch make it not hurt as much? Does laying down as opposed to sitting make it any better? I not only dislike shots in my belly, i dislike needles all together.... any help you can provide i would really appreciate it. All comments so far have been comforting.
873190 tn?1304812975 Yet, this is the only pregnancy that continued past the first trimester and this time I was on Lovenox from day 1. The last two times, they wanted to wait and see a heartbeat before starting the blood thinners. I'm now 31 weeks and will continue Lovenox until I get a little closer to delivery, then switch to heparin, since it has a shorter half life and they don't want you to be on blood thinners the day of delivery.
270512 tn?1333177636 I started mine (actually Heparin, which was changed to Lovenox when Heparin was recalled) on day 1, when I started my other shots. I don't know the reasoning behind it. I guess every doctor has a slightly different protocol. The fewer injections you have to take, the better, right? By the time I was finished with injections (at 12 weeks pregnant), I'd been stuck 282 times that cycle alone (yes, I counted!) Good luck with your IVF!
178698 tn?1228774338 m taking Lovenox twice a day and 8 weeks along just like you. The big thing with these heparin injections is not to rub the site or it can cause alot of bruising. I also get big lumps under my skin and it actually hurts to bend over but they seem to go down in a couple of days. I'm hoping the doctor this week will tell me I can do my Lovenox injections somewhere besides my abdomen to give my belly a much needed break allready! We have along way to go!
645220 tn?1233764146 Hi I just did my first lovenox injection and think I might not be doing it right. I really had to push very hard for the needle to go in then it stopped about a third of the way and I had to jam it in the rest of the way. does this sound right? I have plenty of fat so it's not as if I got held up on muscle or anything.
Avatar f tn Hi I hope someone can help me! Had 2 Miscarriages last year. I'm currently 6w 1d pregnant. Saw fetal pole, heart beat and yolk sac yesterday. My hcg #'s aren't rising too well. 1/14 - 790, 1/16 - 1698, 1/18 - 3301, 1/21 - 7989, 1/24 - 12601...............I'm so nervous. I'm on Lovenox and progesterone pills....Dr. isn't that worried.....I AM!!!! Has this happened to anyone before and turned out GOOD??? I don't think I can go through another miscarriage......
1722607 tn?1335747858 My max copay is $50 per med..
Avatar f tn I've had history of PE's. I'm also on Lovenox shots and my doctor has me taking a baby asprin once a day too. I started shots around week 12. I have Kaiser health coverage and my copay for my shots are $30. I just hit the 20 week mark today and so far everything is going well. Good luck and congratulations!
Avatar n tn I am on Lovenox (Xaparin) since early in my pregnancy. Now my doctor wants to perform a c-section at week 37 without giving me much of a medical explanation. I feel strongly about a natural delivery. Does any one had a similar experience?
Avatar f tn I Was Induced With My Daughter And They Had Me Stop Taking MY Baby Aspirin A Week Before Induction And Stop The Lovonox A Day Before Induction Then Start It The Next Day For 6Weeks After.
Avatar n tn Anyone taking Lovenox? Im 9 weeks and between the lovenox and the prenat vit I feel groggy all the time..just wondering if lovenox makes you feel bad..
