im 10wks 6days. Last week i went to the doctor and they put me on lovenox. I had a past history of clotts. PE to be exact . Im super excited because my baby heartbeat was 180. And the doctor said everything was good. Im excited for you also. Just continue to take your medication and everything will be ok. GOOD LUCK!!!

Every scan that has been run reveal no DVT. I have been placed on Lovenox indefinitely and had an IVC filter put in (even though they are not sure where the emboli are coming from). Are there any other tests I can inquire about? Is it common to have a PE with no evidence of a DVT? Am I realisticly looking at Lovenox for the rest of my life? I am a 32 year old male with no prior history and according to the doctors in good health.

Plan to have c-section at 37 weeks due previous t incision of uterus and post op PE, also on Lovenox 40mg SQ daily. I am very concerned if I should stop taking atenolol.

Has anyone had a successful delivery with a PE on Lovenox? So stressed right now...I'm 21 weeks and due July 21.

When I was monitored which was 1x wk due to my inr going all over, the nurse also listened to my lungs each time. If your inr goes down you can ask for lovenox shots until it goes up. I carried and still carry a lovenox shot everywhere with me- if you feel symptoms of PE: a very fast heart rate, pain, trouble breathing, you can inject it and go to an er immediately. I was told not to do any exercise except walking until the clot dissolved as anything else could dislodge it.

he was moved back to heparin and then to lovenox. Then it was noticed that some of his lymph nodes were a bit enlarged around neck and lungs (1.8 cm the largest). They did several ct scans, pet scans, mri, and 3 biopsies to try to diagnose. 2 of them, a core and a surgery, werent able to get tissue from the lymph nodes. only the fine needle was successful, with a negative result, but we've hear there are a relevant number of cases of false negative in this type.

Should I even consider going through another pregnancy and what is the reality of my health issues and the health and risks of the unborn child that could arise ? 3. Should I continue the 5mg a day on Coumadin since this is my 1st occurance and taking into consideration my family history of no clots (also in getting a doppler reading a week ago the clot is still there but is diminishing slowly)? or should i continue until clot is completely gone?

I was treated with Lovenox and Coumadin and discharged on Xarelto. Does the clot in my heart still pose a threat to my health. I have been on Xarelto for about four days. I was also wondering if I should consider a clotting disorder since I had a blood clot 10 years ago in my leg. I am 57 years old and do not have any other problems with my heart such as A-fib. The only symptom I had was mild shortness of breath. The clots were discovered as an incidental finding on another test.

Does anyone know if there is any correlation between a blood clot and hypothyroid/synthroid? i haven't found anything online. I know some people get DVT, pulmonary embolism from Birth Control and i know that thyroid/synthroid stuff is hormone related but is there any significance or anything documented about hypothyroid/synthroid etc.. and pulmonary embolism? I can't find a reason why this happened to me. I had a PE a few weeks ago with no DVT and docs can't find a reason for it??

I am limited somewhat to what I can take due to being on anticoagulants. I had a PE in 2006 after a miscarriage, and was diagnosed about a month ago with three different blood clotting disorders. (Am currently on Lovenox and will be switching back to warfarin soon.) Am presently trying 50MG Tramadol (one every six hours) to try and abort this current migraine, but it doesn't seem to help much. I generally do avoid what you've mentioned.

On 12/1 I had a complete metabolic profile drawn for a routine endocrinology follow up and LFTs then were ALT 17 and AST 18. The Sectral and Lovenox were initiated before my preop labs on 1/29, which showed LFTs elevated (ALT 120, AST 59). I am concerned that the Sectral has been toxic to my liver and want to stop the medication now. I will be having labs repeated on 2/13, and will see the gastroenterologist again on 1/21.

t argue or comment on your doctors opinion on the necessity of taking it while also on Lovenox and I definitely agree that Lovenox and Folgard are MUCH more important rather then just the aspirin, but if he is of the opinion that they do two different things and you are not taking the aspirin to cover off the missing 12 hours, according to my hematologist, taking only one dose of Lovenox per day wasn't covering me off all day (which is where I obtained the information that it is short lived

I am currently 25 weeks and have been on Lovenox since week 6. I have a blood clotting problem. I will have a csection at 36 weeks but that is due to other health problems. I will have to have those stupid leg vacuun things while in hospital to keep circulation. I hate those things very loud and you can't move. Plus will have to continue Lovenox for 8 weeks after birth.

When I was at the foot doctor today - and yes, it is healing nicely - I told hm that my breathing was labored. Long story short, I drove myself to ER when my pcp couldn't see me and it turns out I have a blood clot in my lung. Yikes. I thought maybe I had pneumonia but didn't think of a clot. Anyway, I am resting comfortably in the hospital, started on Coumadin and having to do lovenox injections until my clotting is stable. For once I would be much happier if this was due to my MS.

Turns out I have a bloody clotting disorder. I got pregnant again (and started the Lovenox injections) and everything was going well until last week. I began having spotting. My hcg was increasing, but my progesterone dropped quickly and I lost the baby. My husband and I are giving this one more shot. My doctor wants to start me on Clomid next month, along with one baby aspirin a day and and folic acid until I get pregnant.

my first pregnancy with this dr. and taking Lovenox for the past 15 days.....Had second sonogram yesterday and saw fetal pole, yolk sac and heartbeat!!! I was so excited, I was on cloud nine all day...until two hours ago when I heard my latest #'s.....already spoke to dr. he said not to worry and go for blood test Mon. Could someone let me know whats the difference between SVT and PE and whether the doctors were right on their part to diagnose DVT induced PE wrongly as SVT?

with the pain?- I also have Pectus excavatum (PE) and am wanting to start a family but have never had surgery for the PE (I didn't even know anything about it until mid 20's) I'm now 42, 43 yrs old in July and have never had any children before (for various reasons.) The PE is certainly deep enough to warrant surgery but I got scared and didn't get any in the end because I heard it was more risky in an adult.

I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.

I just had a miscarriage on July 30th and I was 23 1/2 weeks pregnant. I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now.

Is it safe to use Lovenox and Ibuprofen at the same time? What kind of side effects should I expect if I do so? (I do not experience any pain). 2. Shall I be concerned about permanent implications (ie to kidney, liver etc) of using blood thinner? 3. After 10 days (when I stop the Lovenox), will I need a blood test? 4. How long would it normally take for such an injury to heal?

I had an ablation last week and am doing well, but am very beat up (low energy, black and blue, sore throat from TEE and polka dot bruises from Lovenox). My question is how long a time period is it usual to be on Lovenox? My doctor has said a full month. From my research, other than pregnant women, for all other conditions it says 2 weeks or less. I can't take coumadin due to a severe reaction to it.

I also have to be induced at 39 weeks and then continue lovenox for 6 weeks after delivery.
