During the first few weeks of pregnancy has anyone experiecnced nosebleeds? I've been reading about it but never heard of this happening before I looked it up. It doesn't seem like a common symptom. I'm only about 7 weeks and this past week I've had a few nosebleeds, I've never had them before. I'm hoping it's normal and will stop soon. Any advice???
I am a 16 year old female, and for about the past half of a year, I've been getting nosebleeds at an increasing regularity. I haven't been hit on the head before these nosebleeds, and I haven't jarred myself. I also don't feel them coming on at all. The last time that I had a nosebleed, which was a little less than a week ago, I also coughed up a little bit of blood, but I'm pretty sure that was only because it was in my sinuses.
On 12/1 I had a complete metabolic profile drawn for a routine endocrinology follow up and LFTs then were ALT 17 and AST 18. The Sectral and Lovenox were initiated before my preop labs on 1/29, which showed LFTs elevated (ALT 120, AST 59).
I am concerned that the Sectral has been toxic to my liver and want to stop the medication now. I will be having labs repeated on 2/13, and will see the gastroenterologist again on 1/21.
As far as I know lovenox is no reason to perform a c section. If you are unsure, then please ask your Dr. why he/she wants to deliver you this way. Your wishes do count and it's important you feel comfortable and confident in how the actual delivery takes place.
I agree with JDRF-VOL-RL that the nosebleeds are more likely to be caused by something other than type 1 diabetes. I had nosebleeds at about the same age, and in my case it was allergy-related. My doctors suggested that I would "outgrow" the problem, and this is indeed what happened. It wasn't fun at the time, but it all stopped by the time I was about a junior in high school. No nosebleeds since then. I would ask his doctor about other allergy meds, or perhaps allergy shots.
Yesss I never had nosebleeds either until I got pregnant and now I have them all the time out of the SAME nostril every time. It's so weird lol.
t argue or comment on your doctors opinion on the necessity of taking it while also on Lovenox and I definitely agree that Lovenox and Folgard are MUCH more important rather then just the aspirin, but if he is of the opinion that they do two different things and you are not taking the aspirin to cover off the missing 12 hours, according to my hematologist, taking only one dose of Lovenox per day wasn't covering me off all day (which is where I obtained the information that it is short lived
I am currently 25 weeks and have been on Lovenox since week 6. I have a blood clotting problem. I will have a csection at 36 weeks but that is due to other health problems. I will have to have those stupid leg vacuun things while in hospital to keep circulation. I hate those things very loud and you can't move. Plus will have to continue Lovenox for 8 weeks after birth.
ve had frequent nosebleeds. The nosebleeds occur every 2 to 3 hours. I have been unable to find relief, my dr said my BP is normal usually about 117 over 65. He gave me some mild pain medication and a muscle relaxer, that didn't help. I've been back to see him and he said I should try an ice pack, which I have and that doesn't help either. I don't have a history of this problem it's just started in the past few weeks.
my first pregnancy with this dr. and taking Lovenox for the past 15 days.....Had second sonogram yesterday and saw fetal pole, yolk sac and heartbeat!!! I was so excited, I was on cloud nine all day...until two hours ago when I heard my latest #'s.....already spoke to dr. he said not to worry and go for blood test Mon.
He did tell me originally that the minute I think I;m pregnant I should start the Lovenox. I started it when my levels were only42!!! Good luck to you.
I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.
I just had a miscarriage on July 30th and I was 23 1/2 weeks pregnant. I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now.
Is it safe to use Lovenox and Ibuprofen at the same time? What kind of side effects should I expect if I do so? (I do not experience any pain).

Most nosebleeds start from the many small blood vessels that lie in the front part of your nose, and are fairly easy to stop yourself. Nosebleeds that start in back part of your nose come from bigger vessels, and tend to be heavier, and harder to stop.
Here's what to do when you have a nosebleed:Sit down and firmly pinch your nose just above your nostrils, where your nose is soft. Breathe through your mouth.Keep pinching for about 10 minutes to 15 minutes, without releasing the pressure.
I had an ablation last week and am doing well, but am very beat up (low energy, black and blue, sore throat from TEE and polka dot bruises from Lovenox). My question is how long a time period is it usual to be on Lovenox? My doctor has said a full month. From my research, other than pregnant women, for all other conditions it says 2 weeks or less. I can't take coumadin due to a severe reaction to it.
We got the CT Scan done at that time .It came back ok.But now with her headaches and nosebleeds,I m really worried.Also,I've had nosebleeds since childhood,and still have it sometimes. We are planning to talk to her doctor.But I am really worried.
My daughter used to get nosebleeds almost everyday, especially when she would take a shower. I had to take her to the doctor a few times because it was so bad. I myself had the same problem as a kid. I eventually had to have my nose cauderized because I had a horrible nosebleed one day that was like nothing I had ever seen. I was going to have the same done to her (she asked to have it done) before it got too bad.
The last time I had Lovenox was one year ago and I was at 2.6 when I started the Lovenox. At that time I quit taking coumadin until after the procedure. The day after the procedure, I started up on coumadin and continued to taking the Lovenox until I was therapeutic again (between 2-3 INR).
You stated that you were worried about the AFib. I assume you were referring to AFib while you are off coumadin and on Lovenox. I wouldn't worry about that.
I was just recently on lovenox and I did my injections in my legs. I have to tell you the pain was not as bad as doing it in my stomach but I did end up with a lot of bruises. I am now on fragmen shots and I do them in my stomach cause my legs have not healed yet.Btw if you were wondering they took me off my lovenox at 37 weeks but I had trouble getting my insurance to pay for the fragmen so I didnt start it until I was 38 weeks and I had my baby after only being on it for 3 days.
