my name is toya and i just had my 6th miscarriage! with my 5th miscarriage i was being referred to an oncologist and hematologist.. i was distraught with that miscarriage i totally forgot about my appt to the oncologist. Well i quickly realized when i got pregnant again and just lost my baby on 9-30-12 again. so if anyone has any information about this blood disorder.
Not me personally, but my sister-in-law had to be on lovanox shots the entire time during all of her pregnancies. She had issues with clotting; only when she was pregnant though, and was also higher risk due to age (between 36-40 years old for her pregnancies).She managed to have 2 successful pregnancies and only 1 miscarriage.
my first pregnancy with this dr. and taking Lovenox for the past 15 days.....Had second sonogram yesterday and saw fetal pole, yolk sac and heartbeat!!! I was so excited, I was on cloud nine all day...until two hours ago when I heard my latest #'s.....already spoke to dr. he said not to worry and go for blood test Mon.
He did tell me originally that the minute I think I;m pregnant I should start the Lovenox. I started it when my levels were only42!!! Good luck to you.
Now I have gotten a surprise BFP and my doc is talking about Lovenox (low dose). Maternal fetal medicine says NO WAY its too risky without having a diagnosed blood clotting disorder, but my OB and RE are willing to put me on it. I'm concerned about the risks (to myself, I know it won't affect the baby). Is it all that risky? Could it help in my situation? I dont know what else to do but really want to have more kids!
I just had a miscarriage on July 30th and I was 23 1/2 weeks pregnant. I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now.
I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.

I had 6 miscarriage and 2 d&c just found out that I have a blood clotting, Iam 7 weeks2 days prego and im on lovenox so far were doing great just nervist nexts apointment not untill April 15 four week away any one els on lovenox had this worked for you?
2nd one,,again 2 Grade A blasts, one attached and resulted in miscarriage at 8 weeks (no heartbeat).So RE suggested genetic testing, which i dont know they did not think of before the 2 failed IVFs. I was positive for MTHFR (i believe heterozygous) and was told to start a Rx prenatal vit with increased folic acid, plus 2 folic acid supplements, and asa81 mg. ANnnnnnnd if i was to become pregnant, i would be on lovenox inj.
I have read mixed reviews about this "disorder".
Thanks guys that rely made me feel better. I was just so concerned cause at this point I'm on progesterone cream and lovenox.. I'm just so worried that I may not carry this baby to term. I have been cramping a little which I'm not sure if that's normal.
The problem is now my OB is out of town, and the perinatologist refuses to see me for 3 more weeks. I was told I needed to start Heprin or Lovenox asap and now I have to wait three weeks. I am almost 40 and it took 4 years after my last miscarriage to even get pregnant again. I feel so alone and scarred. It at all possible I want to do what I can not to have another miscarriage. I really don't know what to do.
i have this same thing. i was diagnosed after my 3 miscarriage. i went on all the meds and had my 4th miscarriage in april 08. now they have me on progesterone b/c they think that is another reason why i miscarry. you might wanna ask your doctor about lovenox. its a shot of blood thinner (similar to heprin) that you give yourself everyday. that is what i am on right now. i also saw a hemo doctor who deals with pregnant women with mthfr and she told me that it is a folic acid problem.
On 12/1 I had a complete metabolic profile drawn for a routine endocrinology follow up and LFTs then were ALT 17 and AST 18. The Sectral and Lovenox were initiated before my preop labs on 1/29, which showed LFTs elevated (ALT 120, AST 59).
I am concerned that the Sectral has been toxic to my liver and want to stop the medication now. I will be having labs repeated on 2/13, and will see the gastroenterologist again on 1/21.

Has anyone had a successful pregnancy having severe endo and homozygous for MTHFR C677T? I had a miscarriage (first pregnancy) at week 10 last month. I was on baby asprin and Folgard 2.2 pre-pregnancy. I started on Lovenox at week 4 of prenancy and Prometrium weeks 6-10. I've had 2 Laperoscopies for the endo. Been seeing a fertility doc for 2 years - trying to get pregers for 5 years. I'm worried I will have more M/C. Just need to know pregers is possible.
As far as I know lovenox is no reason to perform a c section. If you are unsure, then please ask your Dr. why he/she wants to deliver you this way. Your wishes do count and it's important you feel comfortable and confident in how the actual delivery takes place.
t argue or comment on your doctors opinion on the necessity of taking it while also on Lovenox and I definitely agree that Lovenox and Folgard are MUCH more important rather then just the aspirin, but if he is of the opinion that they do two different things and you are not taking the aspirin to cover off the missing 12 hours, according to my hematologist, taking only one dose of Lovenox per day wasn't covering me off all day (which is where I obtained the information that it is short lived
I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and during this pregnancy am having to take progesterone tablets, baby aspirin, and lovenox shots daily throughout the entirety of my pregnancy. if you have had more than three miscarriages it may be a good idea to speak to your physician about running additional blood test to see if you could have some kind of mutation in your blood that is causing you to have problems. I only have the mutation blood disorders when I am pregnant.
I'm almost 11 weeks. I only had one morning of throwing up back at week 8. I think my hubby took over my morning sickness. I feel fine now but he is the one nauseous in the mornings lol. My tatas still hurt and my tummy itches like crazzzzzy. I'm guessing that means I'm getting ready to grow...or already am. My sleepiness has even let up. Id say if you don't have bleeding.. don't stress. But if it reallllly bothers you, make an apt. Your doc should be able to put u at ease.
I am currently 25 weeks and have been on Lovenox since week 6. I have a blood clotting problem. I will have a csection at 36 weeks but that is due to other health problems. I will have to have those stupid leg vacuun things while in hospital to keep circulation. I hate those things very loud and you can't move. Plus will have to continue Lovenox for 8 weeks after birth.
I know that there is danger of miscarriage, birth defects, etc. I really need to hear some true stories right now. Good and bad. Anyone have any real cases they can discuss with me?
