lovenox and hair loss

Turns out I have a bloody clotting disorder. I got pregnant again (and started the Lovenox injections) and everything was going well until last week. I began having spotting. My hcg was increasing, but my progesterone dropped quickly and I lost the baby. My husband and I are giving this one more shot. My doctor wants to start me on Clomid next month, along with one baby aspirin a day and and folic acid until I get pregnant.

I just had a miscarriage on July 30th and I was 23 1/2 weeks pregnant. I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now.

I had an ablation last week and am doing well, but am very beat up (low energy, black and blue, sore throat from TEE and polka dot bruises from Lovenox). My question is how long a time period is it usual to be on Lovenox? My doctor has said a full month. From my research, other than pregnant women, for all other conditions it says 2 weeks or less. I can't take coumadin due to a severe reaction to it.

I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.

Yet, this is the only pregnancy that continued past the first trimester and this time I was on Lovenox from day 1. The last two times, they wanted to wait and see a heartbeat before starting the blood thinners. I'm now 31 weeks and will continue Lovenox until I get a little closer to delivery, then switch to heparin, since it has a shorter half life and they don't want you to be on blood thinners the day of delivery.

I would like to say that with this pregnancy I am on Lovenox, and my baby is doing great. The lovenox is doing its thing and keeping my baby alive, so I am with your hemotologist that when you are ready, the lovenox will help to prevent another tragedy.

Well, we engaged once in April, 4 x all together since Violeta's loss in Feb and whalla, here we are pregnant again with a BFP on May 8, very early since conception occurred on April 29 or later,.:) I demanded the lovenox right away and numbers are HCG May 8 :9 and HCG May 11: 35 woohoo..so all going well so far in this 13 day pregnancy!:) just wanted to say hi agian and hello to new moms...

On 12/1 I had a complete metabolic profile drawn for a routine endocrinology follow up and LFTs then were ALT 17 and AST 18. The Sectral and Lovenox were initiated before my preop labs on 1/29, which showed LFTs elevated (ALT 120, AST 59). I am concerned that the Sectral has been toxic to my liver and want to stop the medication now. I will be having labs repeated on 2/13, and will see the gastroenterologist again on 1/21.

As far as I know lovenox is no reason to perform a c section. If you are unsure, then please ask your Dr. why he/she wants to deliver you this way. Your wishes do count and it's important you feel comfortable and confident in how the actual delivery takes place.

t argue or comment on your doctors opinion on the necessity of taking it while also on Lovenox and I definitely agree that Lovenox and Folgard are MUCH more important rather then just the aspirin, but if he is of the opinion that they do two different things and you are not taking the aspirin to cover off the missing 12 hours, according to my hematologist, taking only one dose of Lovenox per day wasn't covering me off all day (which is where I obtained the information that it is short lived

I am currently 25 weeks and have been on Lovenox since week 6. I have a blood clotting problem. I will have a csection at 36 weeks but that is due to other health problems. I will have to have those stupid leg vacuun things while in hospital to keep circulation. I hate those things very loud and you can't move. Plus will have to continue Lovenox for 8 weeks after birth.

These past few years I have struggled with trying to get pregnant, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, hair loss, weight loss, anxiety and 2 miscarriages, and I think this condition can explain a few of these for me finally. Today I had my homocysteine levels checked and I find out next week how they are. Two days ago I took a heavy dose of follic acid and I hope that doesn't skew the results.

Has anyone had a successful pregnancy having severe endo and homozygous for MTHFR C677T? I had a miscarriage (first pregnancy) at week 10 last month. I was on baby asprin and Folgard 2.2 pre-pregnancy. I started on Lovenox at week 4 of prenancy and Prometrium weeks 6-10. I've had 2 Laperoscopies for the endo. Been seeing a fertility doc for 2 years - trying to get pregers for 5 years. I'm worried I will have more M/C. Just need to know pregers is possible.

my first pregnancy with this dr. and taking Lovenox for the past 15 days.....Had second sonogram yesterday and saw fetal pole, yolk sac and heartbeat!!! I was so excited, I was on cloud nine all day...until two hours ago when I heard my latest #'s.....already spoke to dr. he said not to worry and go for blood test Mon. He did tell me originally that the minute I think I;m pregnant I should start the Lovenox. I started it when my levels were only42!!! Good luck to you.

I lost my first at 31 weeks, Due to placental abruption and found out I was positive for the lupus anticoagulant test and now I am on lovenox for my second pregnancy because I am more prone to blood clots. Anyone else been through something similar?

After finding out about MTHFR and 3 consecutive losses, I had been sent to two MTHFR specialists here in Toronto and also a high risk perinatal OB/Gyn who have me on 40mg Lovenox and LD (81mg) baby aspirin along with the increased Folic Acid and Vitamin B complex BUT - I just read that taking any form or Aspirin can be responsible for boys having problems with low sperm count along with undescended testes.

Hope that nasty old clot is no longer an issue!

Anyone taking Lovenox? Im 9 weeks and between the lovenox and the prenat vit I feel groggy all the time..just wondering if lovenox makes you feel bad..

Only in the past 20 days, hair fall has gone up. Does hair straightening dry out the hair causing lack of moisture and thus hair fall?? I truly hope that this is temporary as you mentioned!!

I just finished Sovaldi and olysio and no hair loss at all, in fact hair looked great I do have hypothyroid which is familial, mother , daughters have it, Check your thyroid levels That can effect hair loss, dryness etc( even my eye brows and under arms thinned from hypothyroidism ) You may need to be on thyroid medication such as synthyroid if it is off

The cardiologist put me on 5mg of folic acid and said that after I became pregnant he would put me on Lovenox from weeks 4-6 until about week 36 and would then switch me to Heparin. He also said that if I went on any type of blood thinners or anti-coagulants while TTC that an egg would not be able to implant - which seems in line with another post that I read in this forum - really not sure where he got this?
