loud stomach noises

When I go to bed, if I lay on my left side my stomach will make really loud noises like I'm hungry. It's so loud that it wakes my wife. If I turn onto my back or right side the noises stop. There's no pain associated with it or gas. I've tried eating before bed and not eating before bed and nothing changes. What could cause this?

Have had loud rumbling from my stomach for 5 months. Particularly after drinking or eating. Its as though I can feel the liquid travelling downwards, and can predict when the noise will happen. A bit of discomfort nothing severe. No nausea, vomiting, diarrhea etc. No weight loss. However these noises are getting louder and more frequent. Had endoscopy and ultrasound which were normal. Blood tests also ok in November. What could this be? Hiatial hernia seems possible?

I am currently 34 weeks is it normal for your stomach tonmake these loud growling noises? I just ate and I dont know why it is doing that.

s making REALLY loud noises, i can hear it from far away. When I put my hand over his stomach, right about his privates, i can actually feel his stomach rising as his stomach gurgles. My mom just tried to give him peptomisol but he didn't take it. He is still eating his dry dog food. I know people suggest canned pumpkin but i dont want to make things worse because we usually dont feed him anything other than dry food. What to do?

I read on another thread that a teaspoon of olive oil would help, and it has. I take it on an empty stomach in the morning and it has quieted my loud stomach noises almost completely. It's much better, anyhow.... The thread I saw explained that digesting fats produces fatty acids that relax the noisy stomach contractions we hear. Maybe that's why, or maybe it's just that a little oil helps everything move along. Who cares?

No matter what I eat (with very few exceptions), I start having loud weird digestive noises and feel like I am full of gas within 15-20 minutes. The noises are so loud that everyone around me hears them and make comments. The only way to quiet this a bit is to take a couple of over-the-counter anti-gas pills (simethicone). The other part is that I cannot sleep at night because of gastrointestinal distress.

If I eat, A while after it starts back again even louder. I am not sure what is causing it.

Hey ladies was wondering if this has happened to you I'm currently #31 weeks and all day todaymy stomach keeps growling like if iI'm hungry or something but I have already eaten... What can be? I don't feel gasy. Or need to use #2.. Its just annoying because I can hear my stomach making those noises..

You should be fine, but talk to your doctor because my doctor did warn me to be careful with loud noises closer to the end when the baby is bigger and hears more

In the past few weeeks this has excelerated to the point where i am afraid to eat anything, as soon as i eat with in 30 mins i have terrible bloating, sever gas. stomach growls so loud others in my office can hear it. Then the Diareah (?) begins and gassy episodes to the point I am afraid to move. I had a colonoscopy 2 weeks ago and they found nothing tested for colitis and crohns disease. a month ago i had a scan done of my stomach and all was normal. blood work all game back satifactory.

Same here..my baby kicks everywherwe when there are thunderstorms. I just lie on my side in fetal position and cuddle hubby..i guess that muffles the sound a bit because he usually stops.

i asked my doctor this monday because this weekend we might go to the movies if my babys daddy does not work. but she said it was fine. my baby hates loud noises. in the car when we turn the music up she moves like crap and its super uncomfortable and hurts sometimes but it so funny and cute to see her react to all the loud noises.

I am a full time employee at McDonald's. I have low physical activity. Since I used to work every day at McDonald's, I used to eat a lot from there. I started being constipated, was feint bloated and started farting a lot.. I knew there was something wrong with my diet. So I stopped eating from there and started adding fiber to my diet. The bloating stopped but the loud flatulence and being gassy is still there. I tried fiber supplements, and laxatives and digestion enzyme.

Hello, have you ladies ever felt your stomach tremble? At first I thought it was my uterus contracting or whatever, but then thought maybe its my baby having a seizure?! I asked my doctor & she said that's normal (this is my 3rd pregnancy & I did not feel that with my other two). She said it was the baby's nerves still growing/adjusting and when they hear loud noises or moves a certain way they will tremble.
