While living in the US I was using Benazepril 40 mg, but now I'm living in Ecuador and that med is not available here not as lotensin on benazepril. What can I sustitute it with?

In march my husband had a stent put in below his heart, everything fine dr put him on effient. June he had a stroke, they gave him clot busting meds, he had a stent put in his cariod artery, all ultra sounds of heart and neck are good, went to nuero and cardiologist in aug. My concern every am when he first gets up he takes his bp before he takes his am meds and its always high, then after meds it drops down. What causes this? The am 170/110 then 1 hour later 120/76.

Basically, the hair follicles get clogged and the tiny sebaceous glands underneath can't drain properly which results in a pimple or cyst. Think of it along the lines of humans with certain kinds of acne. Like humans, some dogs just produce more oil in their skin, and there's not much to be done for it.

I was reading on the net that dogs do not have epilepsy, it is strictly a human condition. I want to believe my vet but.... Will you please explain to me what causes seizures in dogs and what I can di to prevent it?

ve never heard of that other than in dogs I raise dogs and unfortunately lost two about 5 years ago to parvo but we never got it ourselves.

It could also be a fungal infection, which is more common in dogs with floppy ears. The ear fold keeps in more moisture than in pointed-eared dogs.
