Avatar n tn As the first comment correctly stated, losing weight fast doesn't last and leaves you weaker, which you don't want to be if you're getting ready for basic training. Why not wait to join the military until you're ready?
Avatar f tn Losing and maintaining weight is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. I have some ideas for you, if you'd like to message me privately.
Avatar m tn Walk 5 miles every week and work out at the gym with weights. The problem is that I am not losing any weight in the last two weeks. I am keeping my calorie intake around 1200 to 1500 calories daily. I understand that I may be putting on muscle but I am also getting discouraged with not losing weight. When can I expect to see the pounds start to drop off?
Avatar n tn Won't losing fats result in weight loss too? I am not a "veteran exerciser" and don't want to push a lot. I need to lose fats' weight first and then move on to something vigorous.
Avatar f tn If you are walking 3 to 6 miles per day solely for the purpose of losing weight, consider cutting back to about 2 to 3 miles per day. That will be enough to maintain health without making your body think that it needs to operate at maximum energy efficiency. If you need to walk that much for other reasons, then do what you need to do, but change the kind of food you eat. No sugar, no junk food, no soda pop, and cook your own meals from groceries.
Avatar f tn For losing weight the most effective way is to sprint for about 30seconds then jog for 30seconds and keep this going for about half an hour

Avatar f tn Interval training is all the rage, but it has nothing to so with losing weight -- any exercise will do that. It's more of a fitness building thing. You've already located the problem, which is your diet, as you're already exercising enough for your health.
Avatar f tn People absolutely CAN prevent this from happening. Losing weight is a very good at and this is often accomplished through physical fitness (on a regular basis) and eating a healthy diet. High in vegetables, low in sugar/fat. Whole grains and fiber. This is one health issues that many can have a direct affect on by their own actions.
Avatar f tn First, What are you eating? https://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc Losing weight involves following a plan where you increase physical activity and exercise to burn more calories and reduce the number of calories you ingest. By engaging in cardiovascular activity and eating a balanced, nutritious diet you can shed fat, maintain lean muscle mass and increase heart health. As you burn more calories than you take in, you set up a caloric deficit which can result in weight loss.
Avatar f tn Hi. Does anyone on here experience the twilight zone? I am back there again. I've asked people about it, but no one seems to know what I'm talking about. Can anyone tell me if they have it and try to explain it in words what it feels like for you? Thanks.
Avatar n tn If you are aiming at losing weight, it is important to calculate your current BMI and the target BMI. The target BMI should be in a healthy range. Aside indulging in moderate amounts of physical exercise it is also essential to maintain a healthy diet plan. One would need adequate amount of calories to support the basic metabolic functions and if you work out vigorously, your required calorie intake rises.
Avatar f tn I agree with rps3lady, don't give up. I had the same problem. I was 75kg & now 71kg. For some time I stopped losing weight, but thanks to the measurements my frustration didn't last long, my waist went from 37-33.5 inches.
Avatar n tn Ok im a mother of a 2 year old and got a wedding i may2017 i got to lose weight im 190 i want to be 150 any ideas
Avatar n tn But I only intend to be on it for one more month, as the doctor said it is used for three months only, as the body gets used to it and you may stop losing weight. I feel I have kickstarted the weight loss but I do understand that this is a drastic way of losing weight, however I think the dangers of being obese somewhat outway the dangers of taking amphetamines short term to lose weight (as long as you have no other pre-existing conditions).
Avatar m tn Your having trouble losing weight, it's because you can't spell "LOSE". Apparently, you're just trying to "LOOSE" weight which doesn't involve either eating or dieting. Just kidding....... but you gotta keep track of the calories man. You should be under 1800 calories per day if ya wanna lose the poundage.
393685 tn?1425812522 This is the bit about thyroid disease (together with anti-bodies) that always confuses me. And I really really don't want this to sound awful but I have always been a very thin person, too thin, I hated it. And since I started with this thyroid stuff, instead of putting on weight like everyone else. I'm losing even more! What am I doing wrong? It's really worrying me. I eat normally and everything so I can't understand it.
