In high school I always weighed between 120-130. I was engaged for 3 of the 5 years. (Young for that huh?) During that time, I gained weight. Which at first wasn't that much. But it got so out of control and I didn't know I even ate that often. I was so stressed out and sometimes I wouldn't eat at all.
Avatar f tn yes, i agreed with the post above. losing weight is a combination of diet and exercise. you can't have one without the other. and definitely, do not skip any meals. that's a big no-no. make sure the food you're eating are healthy options such as lean meats, whole wheat, good fats (low-fat), and lots of fruits and veggies. remember, to lose 1 pound, you must burn or get rid of 3500 calories. it's recommended that a healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week.

Avatar f tn Healthy eating and moderate exercise are the best way to lose/keep weight off. You can't "spot lose", such as the belly, but you can tone the muscles, so it won't look as large. You might try yoga; it's excellent for toning muscles.

I have awful anxiety and depression so I over think and worry about everything . Avatar f tn Losing weight quickly is never good and causes yo yo effects. Regardless to one of the comments earlier swimming is the number 1 best over all total body work out. Have you ever seen a fat swimmer??? No. As for losing 5 lbs in one week that is probably mostly water weight and not actual fat loss. You need to find your calorie maintenance number and shoot to be calorie deficient by no more that 500 to get the body to lose weight healthily.
Avatar f tn Its normal not to gain any weight in the first 20 weeks. As long as your getting fluids down and trying to eat youll be fine. I was the same way. Your doctor would let you know if you need to worry.

Avatar n tn Why do you want to be underweight? If you love sports you most likely have a lot of muscle mas making up your current underweight BMI. Get a fat percentage measurement done and you may find that you should actually worry more about properly nourishing and taking care of your body's needs than losing weight.
