Avatar f tn So my dr told me that I am losing weight today at my appointment. I know its natural in the first trimester but my dr is concerned and says I need to start gaining. Problem is I am never hungry. I eat a small meal at lunch time and feel completely stuffed the rest of the day/night. Anyone have any suggestions?? I'm already high risk, I don't want anything else to happen too!
Avatar f tn ve been steadily losing weight over the past few days even though I eat at least 3 meals a day (3 normal portioned meals, or 5 small meals). When I first weighed myself when I found out I was pregnant, I was about 145. Then when I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago I was 140, now I'm 137. Anyone else going through weird things like this? Oh and keep in mind I'm constipated, so I feel like I should weigh more?
Avatar n tn s keeping you from losing weight. By eating regular meals, you can better incorporate a mix of vegetables, protein, whole grains and healthy fats into your diet. Snacking, typically, ends up being fruit, candy bars, crackers, sandwiches, chips and all the things that aren't so good for you and tend to make you, either, gain or hold onto weight.
Avatar f tn What to expect when you're expecting says losing weight in the 1st trimester is normal bc of morning sickness. You will just have to make up for it when you aren't sick anymore. If you can't keep anything down, you may need to see your dr incase you become dehydrated.
Avatar m tn Your having trouble losing weight, it's because you can't spell "LOSE". Apparently, you're just trying to "LOOSE" weight which doesn't involve either eating or dieting. Just kidding....... but you gotta keep track of the calories man. You should be under 1800 calories per day if ya wanna lose the poundage.
Avatar f tn But if you really want to lose weight cutting back on calories will really help. Try to eat 1500 calories a day but make sure you dont skip meals. Losing weight is easier if you have someone to support you so find a family member or close friend who will also try to lose weight with you. Fast food is packed with calories and fat (at least most of it is) so avoid it but if you're going to eat it then try to get the healthiest thing there and yes drinking water does help.
Avatar f tn Lately I've been noticing my clothes are getting tighter on me so I check my weight more often and I'm actually losing weight. I've even been eating a little more than usual. I'm 5'10 and I was about 146 and now I weigh about 137. Is this a bad thing? I don't know if I can stomach eating more food but I will if I have to if it means my baby is healthy.
1467664 tn?1288579313 m 5/5)and at one point was 81 pounds(yuck) I lookwd gross and felt worse.but in answer to losing weight the healthy way and not only am I a type 1 I also am a personal trainer.Timing meals ,excercise and insulin are important.Cutting out carb stotally is not a good idea because your body does need the enrgy especially when you are workinh out.Not sure what dose you are on but once you start a workout plan you will see your needs decrease .

Avatar f tn Is anyone losing weight?? My doctor haven't said anything about it. I just got on the scale and i went from 156 to 149.5 15 weeks 3 days which is the second trimester according to my doctor. Im eating normally do idk what's going on..
Avatar n tn t really need to gain if you were over weight when the pregnancy started. Eat healthy meals, normal portions, exercise moderately. You may lose weight naturally as baby takes up some of the excess calories you were consuming. I'd consider yourself weight neutral right now and just eat healthy with proper portion control and not worry about the end result of your weight.
Avatar f tn I'm a little confused. Is anyone else losing weight? I'm 11weeks 5days. My weight before pregnancy was 180. 6weeks prego my weight was 168, 8weeks was 161, today i'm at 155. I thought in the beginning it was from morning sickness and being actually sick, but for 3 weeks i haven't had a lot of morning sickness since i started drinking sprite and i haven't been sick. I thought for sure by mid 11 weeks i would have gained at least a pound or two. Am I the only one losing?
Avatar f tn Stop eating any processed foods in packets for main meals (like instant noodles or packaged meals), try to avoid them as snacks as much as possible (no chrisps!), and try to avoid artificial sugar completely.
Avatar n tn Most experts recommend 30-60 minutes of aerobic exercise three or four days a week, along with two or three days of weight-bearing, resistance exercise (such as weight lifting). This is sufficient to achieve satisfying results. You can exercise daily or on alternate days, depending on the availability of time. Walking is one of the simplest aerobic exercises. You can vary the intensity to match your fitness level.
Avatar f tn Losing weight "fast" is not a good thing. You need to figure out how many pounds you want to lose, then calculate your calorie needs, and implement a diet and exercise program accordingly.
5147790 tn?1364304489 t that hypothyroidism, insulin resistance or PCOS, all of which can cause weight gain and/or make losing next to impossible. Good luck and keep posting.
Avatar f tn Hi. My name is Leandra. I've recently got off of methadone after being on it for 4 years. I've gained about 100lbs on it!!! I've never been heavier than 135 before this. Today is day 44 of being off. But my belly is still extremely bloated and I don't seem to be losing any weight! I've been eating really healthy small meals but it's not helping! I've read people say that it will just fall off after your off methadone, but I'm afraid that won't happen for me.
Avatar f tn There can be a medical reasons why you are not losing weight such as hypothyroidism so it would be a good idea to see your doctor/pediatrician. Also, do not make the mistake of skipping meals hoping that the lack of calories will help you; it actually works the opposite. When a person skips meals, the brain gets tricked into thinking that the body is in starvation mode and therefore the brain tells the body to hold onto every fat cell!! A lot of people don't know that, especially teens.
Avatar f tn I agree that once your body gets used to the same routine, you will have a hard time losing weight. You need to change it around regularly to keep your body "off guard" so your exercising will again be challenging. Your diet is very important as well. I don't necessarily agree with the only 2 servings of fruit.
Avatar f tn ve gained 15 pounds already, I would suggest you try not losing weight, but just to eat little meals through out the day rather than 3 big meals and at least 2 serving of fruit and vegies
Avatar n tn Why do you want to be underweight? If you love sports you most likely have a lot of muscle mas making up your current underweight BMI. Get a fat percentage measurement done and you may find that you should actually worry more about properly nourishing and taking care of your body's needs than losing weight. Don't hurt yourself, and your body will continue to play sports. Underweight is not good. http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obesity/BMI/bmicalc.
Avatar f tn I heard one can gain weight from eating only 1-2 meals a day. If I only eat two meals a day (one moderate, one bigger) will I gain weight? I’m unsure bc I heard only eating two meals is good too.
Avatar f tn Ladies, I have a questions about y'all weight lost or gain. I have been losing weight ever since I found out I was pregnant. I eat six Smalls meals a day, n still not gaining no weight at all. Should I be worried at this point or this is normal?
1149046 tn?1264361586 For your height, you are just about perfect weight. Losing 20 pounds would put almost in the "underweight" category. I would not advise doing that. Here's part of a height/weight chart that applies to YOU.
1597722 tn?1297379694 Whilst exercising, it is a good idea to take measurements instead of weighing yourself. Excersing causes you to build muscle mass whilst losing weight, which can be discouraging when you hop on the scales! It is best to eat 5 - 6 healthy meals a day and exercise for at least 30mins a day. Walking is great. Don't go into it too quickly though or you will burn yourself out!
