Avatar f tn I'm having such a hard time losing the weight I gained when I was pregnant. I used to be very active and drank a lot of water, now I just want to lay around and don't drink water like I used to. I'm slowing getting back into the habit of drinking water more but I don't have the energy or drive to exercise. Any advice?

5147790 tn?1364304489 Hi there. I just started on this forum. So please bear with me. I have been overweight since a teenager. I to was an outcast and it was not easy. I have 4 kids now. 17, 15, 13 next month and a 2 1/2 year old. I did not plan my last one. I am now 444. I have just increased these past years. I had the lapband put in in 2006 and out in June 2011. No help for me. My 18 year Anniversary is today. I have seen a dietician in the past and started one again today.
Avatar f tn Drinking water can help you lose weight, because it helps fill you up, but you still have to eat enough calories to stay healthy.
Avatar f tn re going to eat it then try to get the healthiest thing there and yes drinking water does help. Drink water all day and if you try all this you should be seeing results.
1203066 tn?1265879976 Hi, If she hasn't seen the Vet for a recent exam, it wouldn't hurt to take her in and explain the symptoms if you feel this isn't the norm for her. Is she losing any weight? My cat was drinking water excessivly and also filling the litter box. It wasn't normal for her to be drinking so much water and urinating a lot. The diagnosis just recently was diabetes mellitus caught early, and now she is on insulin but doing okay.
978106 tn?1285108401 Thanks everyone, it was water retention. I am horrible about drinking water and I do love salt! Yes I mostly do eat healthy foods, occasionally I make caloric room for the no no food, but otherwise 1500 calories is good for me. Thanks all!
7606649 tn?1392686521 As long as you're eating healthy, I don't see a problem with it. I'm 31 weeks losing weight just by walking and my doc isn't concerned.
Avatar f tn Nick: One other thing I forgot... Drinking LOTS of water helps in losing weight... You should be drinking a minimum of 100 ozs per day.. or at least 3 quarts.. and be sure and drink the water all through the day..not a whole lot at once...again Hope this is some help...
Avatar n tn i would try hoodia its healthy and gives you tons of energy, also carry water bottles with you i buy a 24 pack of water bottles and leave them in the car. if your drinking water all the time it will help clean out your system. also drink 1 or 2 glasses of water if you feel hungry then wait 30 min if your still hungry than eat. before you leave your house pack a lunch box full of healthy snacks fruits ,veg and nuts almonds are a good source of protein.
Avatar m tn But you should consider eating a little more and drinking more water.
Avatar f tn The major diet tips were already mentioned. (drink water/exercise/veggies and meat based diet) I would just add that limiting sugar intake has really helped me in past.
Avatar f tn Hi! I am also just starting to try and drop some weight. I don't know about you, but I can't seem to make myself like drinking water, no matter how much I remind myself that it's so much better for me than other sugary drinks. One thing that I have found that helps me get in my daily water needs is squeezing lemons or limes into a pitcher of water. It naturally sweetens it and makes it taste so much better! I also drink green teas a lot when I am craving something besides water.
198506 tn?1251156915 I went bed weighing one thing and woke up 2.5 pounds heavier. Does anyone know how to lose water weight quickly (short of water pills) or at least how long it will stick with me? My weigh-in at Weight Watchers is tomorrow and I'll be disappointed if I gain this week. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
Avatar f tn I can keep down water, it just seems like anything else is too much. I have mentioned the weight loss, and they make comments every time I go in about it, they just haven't done anything about it. The vitamin b6 hasn't seemed to help, but it could be because I seem to throw it up. I am just hoping that it won't be much longer of this. Thanks for the suggestions.
Avatar m tn I err on the cautious side here because our old cat, Calamity Jane, started both drinking more water and losing weight; she was 19. For the last 2 years of her life we (after our vet showed us how) give her fluids with an IV needle under the skin between her shoulder blade. Just 50 - 60 ml of "Ringer's Lactate" solution 2 - 3 times a week keep her in good health until a pair of strokes got her at 21 years 4 months.
Avatar f tn losing weight is about calories in, calories out. are you eating less than you're burning? :) and i might just be water weight.
Avatar f tn Congratulations! 22 pounds in seven weeks is a great accomplishment. Sometimes weight will fluctuate a little bit after initial weight loss has occurred. Please don't be discouraged - stick with this. I tend to endorse a diet/exercise approach rather than medications - I feel that it's a better for long term success!
Avatar f tn I'm a little confused. Is anyone else losing weight? I'm 11weeks 5days. My weight before pregnancy was 180. 6weeks prego my weight was 168, 8weeks was 161, today i'm at 155. I thought in the beginning it was from morning sickness and being actually sick, but for 3 weeks i haven't had a lot of morning sickness since i started drinking sprite and i haven't been sick. I thought for sure by mid 11 weeks i would have gained at least a pound or two. Am I the only one losing?
1149046 tn?1264361586 For your height, you are just about perfect weight. Losing 20 pounds would put almost in the "underweight" category. I would not advise doing that. Here's part of a height/weight chart that applies to YOU.
Avatar f tn My daughter is 5 months old and I still have 10 pesky pounds hanging on. I gained a total of 36lbs and lost the first 20 within 4 weeks and the rest is slow going. I had a c-section and its okay for you to walk almost right away just take it slow and listen to your body.
