Avatar n tn t experience prior to the weight loss. I have pain in my shoulders (I think this is due to my arms hanging straight down now rather than at a angle to accomodate my hips when I was larger) and I have pain through my entire pelvic region, not all the time, but quite often. Is this a normal adjustment my body is making to my new size? I was overweight for about 10 years.
Avatar m tn Girls are very watchful in terms of weight gain. So choosing a healthy weight loss programme is very important for them. Exercising is the most effective way of losing weight. Exercises not only help in weight loss, but also tone the muscles and provide strength. Some of the weight loss exercises for girls are: Jogging Jogging is the simplest way of losing weight. Avatar f tn No tingling or numbness, just a loss of strength especially in weight bearing yoga poses (handstand, upward facing bow, etc.) for my shoulders and when I do massages I can barely grasp or apply pressure with my right thumb and pointer finger. I don't know what to do! I love being active and my livelihood depends on it. I've been to the chiropractor with no avail. Thank you for reading, I appreciate any advice you can give!
Avatar n tn I've been working hard to lose weight gradually over the last several months and have been succeeding. Now however it seems like I'm always having aches in my feet, back, shoulders, etc causing me to lose sleep. Is there such a thing as "shrinking pains" like reverse growing pains?
2121037 tn?1338287555 Good to know I'm not the only one :/ I lost two pounds at the beginning of the pregnancy. Then I got stock in the same weight. Every visit I'm in the same #s and I feel disappointed. I'm 18 weeks right now. What food makes u gain weight?
Avatar n tn t forget, an hour or more per day of cardio and heavy weight lifting will help you burn fat faster, resulting in you losing weight. I will try not to over complicate it, but it helped me understand how much of protein am I required to eat per day. You don't really need a lot of carbohydrates to get trough the day, but you do need the protein and fat. Try doing something like this. I will take me for the example. I weigh 173 pounds, and have 14.5% of body fat.
Avatar n tn I initially went to see my doctor because I was losing weight, but was diagnosed as being hypothyroid. I'm having regular blood tests, and am now on 88mg of levothyroxine, but still have to eat all the time to maintain my weight. I can't seem to find any advice on weight loss with this condition, so any information would be very helptful.
Avatar n tn It started about 7 years ago I think. A heavy weight like someone pushing down hard on my shoulders and my arms going really weak that I could barely lift them. lasting only minutes but really scary at the time. Happens at random times too, at home cooking food, at work. Last year I had a few problems and went to my GP. In the lift on the way to GP it happened again but this time it carried on through my body to my legs. I could barely walk my legs were like jelly.
Avatar n tn The weight loss helps some, but I still have back problems- the best relief from the weight loss is more energy and better mobility when my back does act up. Weight loss does reduce the amount of weight (in gut) that my back has to support...and in the long run it just feels better to get into shape. I have found that exercise hurts my back alittle bit now and then- but my back is much worse on a day-to-day basis when I do not work out. Even simple exercise like walking helps.
Avatar m tn It started with a sore throat and neck pain in August and now has expanded where I can not walk straight and am losing weight and muscle mass rapidly. I feel an ongoing pressure in my neck and shoulders and can not longer walk straight. I have been to neurologists and orthopedic doctors and they initially thought it was spinal stenosis or lime disease but it seems like neither condition are the issue. Can you pleeease help me with what this might be?
Avatar n tn Whenever I am working out, after 30 minutes I start smelling a weird odor that kind of smells just like the shampoo, head & shoulders. It feels strong but it goes away after a few hours. I will say that at the same timeI am smelling this, I feel as if my heart rate is accelerating. I am a 34 (almost 35 ) year old female & weigh 145. Do you think this is heart related? Any response by a medical professional is appreciated.
Avatar n tn I am 9 weeks pregnant and this is my first pregnancy and instead of gaining weight I am losing weight. I haven't had any nausea or vomiting in the past 2 days but I am still losing weight. I am scared that this could affect my baby. Is there something wrong or is this normal ?
Avatar n tn Hi there, Hope you are doing well. A good dietary regime and exercises all will be helpful in losing weight. Losing weight in a healthy way is important for maintaining the glow of your skin. Eat lots of fruits, dark green leafy vegetables, fruits and consume less of potato, sweetened and processed foods. Start your day by drinking lemon juice in warm water. Have fruits with lots of vitamin C in breakfast that will help you cut fats as vitamin C is a fat burner.
Avatar f tn Hello there, It would be really dangerous to you to lose that much weight, ie 15 lbs in 2 weeks. A good amount of weight is about 2 lbs per week. The middle of August is about 4 weeks away. Even in 4 weeks, unless you go on what I would call a drastic diet or a starvation diet which would probably put your body in shock, you can't lose 15 lbs in a healthy way. Some people might think that if you drastically reduce your calorie intake, the weight will just fall off you. This is not true.
Avatar f tn I cannot exercise a whole lot do to a medical condition where I suffer from daily headaches and pressure in my head. Losing weight will actually help this condition. Besides my overall health, this is why it is so important that I lose weight. I have lost weight in the past, but always seem to gain it back. I think that I was not eating enough calories. i was staying at about 1000 a day. I lost 70 pounds, but gained it all back plus a lot more.
29837 tn?1414534648 This is the weight I weighed at 27 years old. For many years now, my weight has been 185. The now weight of 175 lbs. is a loss of 17 lbs. in less than 3 weeks after leaving the hospital. Funny thing is, my appetite is ravenous, my blood tests all came beck fine last week, as well as still cleared of Hep C. My energy level is normal I've heard somewhere that because muscle weighs, it has to be taken into consideration when weighing someone.
Avatar f tn Its good you've set a goal and are looking to find out how to achieve it! However losing 15 pounds in a month is unrealistic and unhealthy. Did you know it takes about a year for your body to adjust to losing 10 pounds? It's important to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you shouldn't look at it as weight loss but a way to become healthier!
5147790 tn?1364304489 t that hypothyroidism, insulin resistance or PCOS, all of which can cause weight gain and/or make losing next to impossible. Good luck and keep posting.

Avatar f tn I'm due April 24th and I've lost 20lbs since I found out at 6 weeks and am continuing to lose weight. My OB said that as long as I'm losing the weight in a healthy manner then all is good.
Avatar f tn Yes it's normal to lose weight while pregnant. I lost weight the first trimester and my doctor didn't worry as long as baby is growing. Just eat healthy and stay active! !
Avatar f tn I'm a little confused. Is anyone else losing weight? I'm 11weeks 5days. My weight before pregnancy was 180. 6weeks prego my weight was 168, 8weeks was 161, today i'm at 155. I thought in the beginning it was from morning sickness and being actually sick, but for 3 weeks i haven't had a lot of morning sickness since i started drinking sprite and i haven't been sick. I thought for sure by mid 11 weeks i would have gained at least a pound or two. Am I the only one losing?
