Avatar f tn Well that's a bit excessive amount to lose in just one month. You should only be losing up to 10 lbs a month to stay healthy. Figuring out a target weight and date, and a moderate excericise program is what will help you shed punds without killing yourself. Try the DietDiary app!
Avatar n tn Milk isn't good for you anyway, so that's no loss, and it doesn't really add weight all that much unless you eat a ton of it. But here's the thing -- unless you have a physiological condition that prevents you from absorbing the food you eat, and that is a condition that exists, eating more of anything will help you gain weight. The more food you eat that metabolizes quickly into sugar or contains high fat will likely help you to gain weight.
Avatar f tn Losing weight isn't about silly ideas or having it fall off fast. You probably didn't gain it fast, so you can't expect to lose it fast either. 15 lbs is too much to expect to lose safely in one month, but you can get started and lose as much as possible. The 3 areas that are the most important for weight loss, seem to be the 3 areas in which you're the least flexible. Those are diet, exercise and sleep.
Avatar f tn yes, i agreed with the post above. losing weight is a combination of diet and exercise. you can't have one without the other. and definitely, do not skip any meals. that's a big no-no. make sure the food you're eating are healthy options such as lean meats, whole wheat, good fats (low-fat), and lots of fruits and veggies. remember, to lose 1 pound, you must burn or get rid of 3500 calories. it's recommended that a healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week.
Avatar n tn As the first comment correctly stated, losing weight fast doesn't last and leaves you weaker, which you don't want to be if you're getting ready for basic training. Why not wait to join the military until you're ready?
Avatar n tn m fatter than them. I have 63kg and 168cm. Any advice for losing weight fast and healthy? Any advice for exercises?
10286987 tn?1410261849 how do i loose weight. im 14, 5'3" and i weigh 200 lbs. i've been on birth control for almost 2 years and my family's weight is right around 110-130 lbs. what is a good diet or exercise plan or what may be the problem?
Avatar f tn Safely losing 25 pounds by December is impossible. I'm not sure how you've lost the 35, so far, but if you're stuck, try changing your routine. Increase/decrease your exercise and calorie intake. If you continually do the exact same thing, your body gets used to it and simply expects that. Changing your routine every few days will keep things more "upset", so your body won't have a chance to get used to it.
Avatar f tn If you dance Zumba for one hour a day and eat 500 calories a day less than you need to maintain your weight, you should lose 2 pounds weekly or 8 pounds a month. This is a fast, but healthy rate of weight loss. Losing weight any faster means you're losing muscle instead of fat. You may need 60 to 90 minutes of physical activity daily to lose weight, according to the American College of Sports Medicine.
Avatar n tn The way to lose weight and keep it off is to change your eating habits, not rely on a quick will power diet. That means you have to learn something about how your mind works, because eating too much of the wrong foods is a psychological decision that has many meanings...You can go to the library and find my book on the subject, Shrink Yourself...or go to the website of that name and read the free articles and use some of the free tools.

Avatar f tn I'm new here btw.. The name is Cynthia :) Anywho, here is a little background for you. I was in a relationship for a long time. Almost 5 years. I'll be 22 soon. In high school I always weighed between 120-130. I was engaged for 3 of the 5 years. (Young for that huh?) During that time, I gained weight. Which at first wasn't that much. But it got so out of control and I didn't know I even ate that often. I was so stressed out and sometimes I wouldn't eat at all.
6520484 tn?1399082398 But I still have 20lbs of fat that I put on during the pregnancy. Just wondering if anyone had success in losing the baby weight? I could use some pointers. I already eat healthy and all I drink is water and milk, no juice or pop or anything. I'm too tired to exercise (with Two week old baby and all). Anyone do anything to lose the weight that really worked?
Avatar n tn It's diet and exercise!!
594189 tn?1386916607 Well... the recommended amount of weight per week is 1-2 pounds. Just wanting to ask, do you exercise and follow a healthy meal plan?
Avatar f tn Losing weight "fast" is not a good thing. You need to figure out how many pounds you want to lose, then calculate your calorie needs, and implement a diet and exercise program accordingly.
Avatar f tn I am losing large amounts of weight very quickly I cant keep anything including most liquids down for over a month now. I was not big to begin with about 130 and currently almost down to 100.suffered for years with an eating disorder and it resurfaced recently worse than ever. was hospitalized with vomiting blood recently and after released I have no choice but to vomit after every little sip or bite of anything because even if I wamted to keep it down my body forces it out.

1293887 tn?1332702847 Maybe we could encourage each other to exercise, share meal recipes and our weight loss. I have lost about 6 kilos in the last few months but am struggling with the last 7 or 8. I would love to get down to maybe 60-62 kilos. I don't know what that is in pounds.
