You probably didn't gain it fast, so you can't expect to lose it fast either. 15 lbs is too much to expect to lose safely in one month, but you can get started and lose as much as possible. The 3 areas that are the most important for weight loss, seem to be the 3 areas in which you're the least flexible. Those are diet, exercise and sleep.

I was not big to begin with about 130 and currently almost down to 100.suffered for years with an eating disorder and it resurfaced recently worse than ever. was hospitalized with vomiting blood recently and after released I have no choice but to vomit after every little sip or bite of anything because even if I wamted to keep it down my body forces it out.
Avatar f tn First if your body is not getting enough foods it can easily go into starvation mode and decide to hold or even gain weight. 1200 calories seems very low, especially given how much you exercise. So maybe you should keep your food around 1300 at minimum? It's hard to know the "sweet" spot that will keep your body healthy while loosing weight, but if you don't find it you will have a really hard time loosing weight.

His take, as well as mine, is the result of stopping the dreadful pain medication Oxycodone abruptly, which was prescribed for me after my spinal surgery. As my ideal weight is 185, I now am 173. However, that's one pound more than a week ago. What this means, is that I'm not losing anymore weight, but have gained one pound. This tell me it's a gradual recovery from the withdrawal I'm going through. I know losing 15 lbs.

The weight loss is okay, you know woman usually don't mind getting rid of some fat, but losing muscle is no good. Unless one wants to end up looking like a middle aged version of size 0 models....

Avatar f tn I don’t need the same amount of muscle to support a smaller weight. As I gain weight I gain more muscle to support the weight, if it didn’t the body would cave in on itself. But for that same reason, as I lose weight the muscle that grew to support the extra weight will atrophy (get smaller)! when I am losing fat weight and am over 250 lbs, I will not gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. I will lose fat weight, muscle weight, scale weight.

Avatar f tn m 21 years old and I found that I got the most flat/toned stomach when I began weight training. (Incorporated with ab workouts after). When you build muscle your body will burn more calories at rest than it would with less muscle mass. Incorporate cardio too, about 20 minutes. I also eat a diet with a lot of whole grains, fruits veggies, and no junk food like chips or anything like that.

If it's the latter there are a few practical steps that can help: cold food vs. hot, many small meals vs. a few big meals. Although it's damn difficult, he needs to try to do everything possible to keep his weight up.
