Avatar n tn The way to lose weight and keep it off is to change your eating habits, not rely on a quick will power diet. That means you have to learn something about how your mind works, because eating too much of the wrong foods is a psychological decision that has many meanings...You can go to the library and find my book on the subject, Shrink Yourself...or go to the website of that name and read the free articles and use some of the free tools.

Avatar f tn I am losing large amounts of weight very quickly I cant keep anything including most liquids down for over a month now. I was not big to begin with about 130 and currently almost down to 100.suffered for years with an eating disorder and it resurfaced recently worse than ever. was hospitalized with vomiting blood recently and after released I have no choice but to vomit after every little sip or bite of anything because even if I wamted to keep it down my body forces it out.
Avatar n tn I would also suggest that you test for Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin. Usually when Free T3 is low, there is weight gain. In doing some reading about weight loss, I found this info. "Other endocrine cause of weight loss is cortisol deficiency. This can be tested by doing 8.00 AM serum cortisol level. You need to be investigated for other causes of weight loss such as some chronic infection, diabetes etc." So this points to the possibility of other tests that may be advisable.
Avatar f tn Is your doctor concerned? How fast did you lose this? 5 pounds isn't much, and you're still early. Most weight gain doesn't occur until later in the second and third trimester.
Avatar f tn First if your body is not getting enough foods it can easily go into starvation mode and decide to hold or even gain weight. 1200 calories seems very low, especially given how much you exercise. So maybe you should keep your food around 1300 at minimum? It's hard to know the "sweet" spot that will keep your body healthy while loosing weight, but if you don't find it you will have a really hard time loosing weight.

Avatar f tn Your story breaks my heart . Keep your head up and stay strong . Everything happens for a reason and as much as that isn't what you want to hear , its the truth . Im not a very religious person , in fact , I've never gone to church but I do believe God has a plan for us bigger than we can imagine and one day everything will fall into place for you and you'll look back and understand why all of this happened . Use these bad times as stepping stones into the next phase of your life .

10286987 tn?1410261849 It is your life and you need to be positive and own it. You need to sleep, drink water and avoid sodas, fast food and everything you know is not good for you. Understand that it is not a to do list that needs to be given to you. You have to take responsibility too. The doctor will indicate to you based on height, weight, and present medical conditions how much you should be eating. Don't cheat, no pills, no powders and make this a life style change.

Avatar f tn Hey yall, I've lost about 10 pounds in 2 days and I'm 5 weeks pregnant. I haven't been eating much because I'm so worried about what's good and bad for the baby. I have awful anxiety and depression so I over think and worry about everything . I haven't been taking my anxiety medicine due to risks of harming the baby and I think that's why I can't eat and am losing weight so fast. Is this dangerous or will it get better with time ?
865758 tn?1285952904 Has anyone out there who is suffering from thyroid diseasse ever felt like giving up? I am at my wits end and don't want to live like this anymore!!! Avatar n tn Why do you want to be underweight? If you love sports you most likely have a lot of muscle mas making up your current underweight BMI. Get a fat percentage measurement done and you may find that you should actually worry more about properly nourishing and taking care of your body's needs than losing weight. Don't hurt yourself, and your body will continue to play sports. Underweight is not good. http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obesity/BMI/bmicalc.

1574872 tn?1295991417 I gain waight really fast under stress. Even through diet and exercise it slows down my weight losse. Maybe if you just slightly up you calorie intake it may allow your body to less feel like it needs to hold on.
Avatar f tn The CT of the abdomen came back clear with no issues. I know that losing weight and gaining muscle is normal. The first Endo canceled my appointment after reviewing everything saying she’s not taking new patients with my condition. The second endo told me my cortisol drop was do to Flonase use and my testosterone dropped because I gained weight. I tried to explain to her that this all kicked off when I was losing weight, not gaining weight.
Avatar f tn Safely losing 25 pounds by December is impossible. I'm not sure how you've lost the 35, so far, but if you're stuck, try changing your routine. Increase/decrease your exercise and calorie intake. If you continually do the exact same thing, your body gets used to it and simply expects that. Changing your routine every few days will keep things more "upset", so your body won't have a chance to get used to it.
Avatar f tn yes, i agreed with the post above. losing weight is a combination of diet and exercise. you can't have one without the other. and definitely, do not skip any meals. that's a big no-no. make sure the food you're eating are healthy options such as lean meats, whole wheat, good fats (low-fat), and lots of fruits and veggies. remember, to lose 1 pound, you must burn or get rid of 3500 calories. it's recommended that a healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week.
