I have lost 146 pounds to date and have set goals of 2 lbs, 3 lbs, 5 lbs and 10 lbs along the way. I never thought of losing all the weight, I focused only on those small goals, celebrated my achievement upon reaching it and then set another small goal. It is not shocking to think of the total weight loss because it never seemed like more than 2-10 lbs!

Exercises- walking briskly, jogging a small amount of running, too much running can be bad for you and your bones as your still young and developing. Horse-riding, swimming, karate. even like using a skipping rope or trampolining half an hour a day can make a difference.

Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs/week, so in order to lose 1 lb/week, you'd have to drop 500 calories from your BMR each day (1 lb is equal to 3500 calories, so 500 calories X 7 days = 3500 calories or 1 lb). OR you can drop 250 calories from your diet and increase exercise to use an additional 250 calories. Changing up calorie counts and exercises will help prevent plateau.

Did you know it takes about a year for your body to adjust to losing 10 pounds? It's important to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you shouldn't look at it as weight loss but a way to become healthier!

Suggest continuing what you are doing, plus add some different exercises, such as yoga, and/or increase your reps on the exercise you are presently doing. Do not get discouraged. Avatar f tn You can try doing some weights or resistance band exercises, but if you're losing weight, that might just be something you will have to put up with. Some of just get saggy skin when we lose weight. Check out YouTube for upper body exercises using weights.

(full body, and bodyweight burns more calories because you are using more muscles. you want to choose 10 exercises to workout with for the workout and keep the reps around 12-15. As for diet, i am not a nutritionist but something you can do is make healthier substitutes for things like cookies.

Avatar n tn I agree; I don't think so........I'm not sure what the issue is with losing facial weight; it was a good thing when I lost facial weight because it meant that my thyroid med was working and took away the puffiness, so I was thrilled; however, if you don't like the way your face looks, there are exercises you can do to tone the muscles in your face....... You might consider doing a "google" search for facial exercises and see what you come up with.......

Avatar n tn s good to be self-conscious and to maintain a certain amount of weight, however to lose a lot of kilograms in as early of 2 months is something I deemed unhealthy. You will be putting yourself through a lot in order to reach that goal and it will have an effect on your health. The right way of being self-conscious is to moderately, consistently lose weight in the right amount of time. Proper diet and proper exercise is all you need.
