6520484 tn?1399082398 But I still have 20lbs of fat that I put on during the pregnancy. Just wondering if anyone had success in losing the baby weight? I could use some pointers. I already eat healthy and all I drink is water and milk, no juice or pop or anything. I'm too tired to exercise (with Two week old baby and all). Anyone do anything to lose the weight that really worked?
3360193 tn?1365871889 Yes I haven't given birth yet (due in 2 days - woohoo) , but any mommas out there who know any decent ways to lose baby weight after baby has been born? For the first 6 weeks I know I won't really be doing very much except my usual daily 4 mile walk with the dog (and the pram), and I'll also be breastfeeding. But I do wanna lose my baby weight and a little bit extra as well.
Avatar f tn I heard breastfeeding helps you lose weight after you have your baby.. Has this helped anyone?

Avatar n tn My first I started at 140 ended at 190 so 50lb weight gain only ever went down to 165. 6 years later with this one I started at 168 I went to 194 so 26lb weight gain now I'm 175 and I'm 12 weeks post pardum and I am breastfeeding. I lost the first 19 lbs in the first 2 weeks so 10 weeks now and haven't lost an ounce.
7989976 tn?1403493624 Losing weight is 80 percent diet and 20 percent exercise. I plan on losing a lot of weight ehen thr baby gets here... this isnt for everyone but I will be changing my life style to paleo dieting. Basically you can only eat meats and veggies no carbs. Look into it... but thsts not a good diet if u choose to breast feed... best of luck!
8793709 tn?1409594060 It seems from all the comments that, everyone is different. Breastfeed can not hurt your chances of losing weight, but eating healthy and exercising is always the best way to lose extra weight. Just make sure you are taking in enough calories to stay healthy.
Avatar f tn How many of you mommies have lost y'all baby weight??? What are y'all stories what did y'all do that was most effective and is it true that breastfeeding helps you to lose weight?????
199373 tn?1270487632 I gave birth 2 months ago, and I'm losing weight at a semi-slow pace (I'm breastfeeding so I cannot overdo it). I ordered an elliptical, and plan to workout on it for atleast 30 mins a day. I seem to be losing well in all places but my face and arms. Any advice on how to trim these two areas? Or should I just be patient?
Avatar f tn re at and it may take just as much to get back. Regular walking during pregnancy helps maintain a healthy weight. Everything changes; your body and your life after a baby. Swimming is also a good way to get in shape without too much physical stress like running. And remember: breastfeeding is yet another good way to loose a few lbs!
Avatar f tn I just had my son three weeks ago and gained 40lbs and im 7lbs away from my pre pregnancy weight. I worked out all during my pregnancy so that helped my dr said. Also i walk a lot. Two miles a day since thats all im really approved to do until my appointment. also breastfeeding and eating right.
2169899 tn?1354674056 DOES ANYONE KNOW IF BREASTFEEDING REALLY HELPS WITH LOOSING BABY WEIGHT, I WAS TOLD THAT WAS TRUE, IM READING UP ON ALL THE BENEFITS OF BREASTFEEDING AND DIDNT QUITE SEE THAT ONE?!!
Avatar f tn I'm 30 weeks pregnant, and still losing weight. I've lost 18 pounds of my pre-pregnancy weight due to sickness. & was not over weight to start with. My Dr isn't worried as the baby is measuring right on. I'm high risk and have a ultrasound twice a week along with no stress test twice a week for other reasons (GD) . But baby is great!
1182418 tn?1292437001 Sister gained 35 lbs during her pregnancy and is under her pre-pregnancy weight and still breastfeeding…it really does help lose weight!!
2188958 tn?1346444891 I think that was the key to me losing weight, bc as soon as I stopped nursing gained the weight back. My second it took about 6 months to get to my pre-pregnancy weight, and again I stayed skinny until I stopped breastfeeding, then I gained about 15 lbs. With this pregnancy I am much older, and I have gained so much weight already that I doubt I will lose it all very quickly, if at all :/ I plan to work out if I can this time.
Avatar n tn Now I worry about my weight. I was working on losing weight when I got preg lost over 200 pounds was at 197 when I got prey. Now I'm up to 225. My doctor told me to cut back on food but if I eat any less I'll be starving myself. Is 28 pounds a lot to gain by 29 weeks? I'm worried I won't lose it.
Avatar f tn You don't feel sick, dizzy, weak or high. You do feel hungry. If you sit a whole lot, you will gain weight when breastfeeding, not because of the breastfeeding but because you are being inactive. But if you keep to your usual schedule where physical activity is concerned, you won't gain weight. Some women do lose a lot of weight while breastfeeding. Breastfeeding was one of the most fun things about my early motherhood, the baby and I got so close.
Avatar f tn It would be wrong to advise on proper diet to someone who is, first, breastfeeding, and second, apparently losing lots of weight for no apparent reason. After you see a doctor, I'd advise seeing a holistic nutritionist. Congratulations on your new addition.
Avatar f tn m just worried about losing the weight, my other family members really had a hard time losing it and some never did. Do genes really play and big part in it, or is it dependent on whether I get off my booty and terms I have the baby or not?
Avatar f tn Any tips on losing weight and tightening up loose skin after child birth?
Avatar f tn s go in your Breast milk and you should be losing weight during breast feeding . Cut back Carb would be the best . Eat only 40 to 60 carb aday and you will be slim in no time. But remember your baby all was cames first.
Avatar f tn breastfeeding is a wonderful way to help loose weight, once bub is here everytime you put baby to breast make sure you have a full glass of water, and eating healthily as well will help :)
Avatar f tn I usually put on lots of weight during my pregnancies, I get fatigued just squatting down (never mind the getting back up bit) and I have bad back pain... it's never stopped me from pushing during labour! I got plenty of adrenaline and motivation during labour so I think you go into primitive mode and your body just takes over - I barely made a conscious effort to push, my body just did it.
