been suffering with horrible erosive oral lichen planus for about 6-7 years. i now have lichen planus on both legs...mainly on shins...but lately it has been moving up above the knees. was put on colcrys when it was thought that my mouth was apthous ulcers, but after reading about it on the internet, i was afraid to take it. therefore...i'm pretty much back to taking 30 mg of prednisone at least 15 days out of the month.

I have both lichen planus and oral lichen planus. I don't know if you are aware there is a support web site out of Texas which speaks to issues regarding OLP. Periodically they have a web cast with guest lecturer from somewhere in the world and different questions are asked regarding the condtion. People offer various remedies and information. One thing that came out recently was that OLP often flares up in the spring. I am awaiting tx.

took nyastin for a week did not work,then fluconzole for a week ,1 pill 100 mg for 7 days,worked ut i think i got lichen planus in my mouth. tongue hurts and burning,now i still have o take flagyl to clear up the bv. this has been a nightmare,antibiotics are to blame and my question is,did all the mouth meds cause this and will this go? if not i have to take a round of flagyl and just afraid if i do i will have more problems? did anyone read where any of these meds cause lichen planus?
