Avatar m tn I used a product made by Loreal and have had a severe reaction and need to find some answeres. I came in from being outside and applied this cream. loreal revitalift face and neck day cream. within 2 minutes, my face was burning so bad. I washed it off. Within 2 hours, my skin was peeling off, my forehead was numb and the skin where the cream was applied was swollen and itching real bad. That was 3 weeks ago. Since then, even the slightest exposure to sun and it reacts the same way again.
Avatar f tn I'm about 18 weeks and it's just now starting I'm trying face wash I think loreal maybe if that doesn't help I'll try something else but thanks ladies for the responses and advice
Avatar m tn I am 25 years old, have suffered form adult acne since i was about 14 and had been experiencing lower abdominal pain on my left side for several years. In the last couple of years, I started experiencing hot flashes accompanied by moderate-severe anxiety and depression. Just as an aside, I studied psychology for several years and have earned, not only my bachelors in psych, but also several certifications and honors surrounding my degree ( I start my masters in a couple of months!).
Avatar f tn Thank you for your response, I appreciate it.
Avatar f tn Can anyone recommend an acne treatment for those cystic acne bumps that take forever to go away? I'm 46 and did Accutane in my 20s with pretty good results until the last several years. I've had the most success with Pro Active, but my skin got really itchy when I wore mineral powder makeup and I kept ruining towels, pillowcases and shirts. I've also tried Acne Free, Murad and Dermatologic plus prescription cream with no luck.
Avatar f tn It is likely that thyroid autoimmunity might be more frequent in the adult acne patients and this should be kept in mind when screening women with post-adolescent acne". 2. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19327604 "When compared for the presence of each dermatosis, chronic urticaria, vitiligo and pruritus were found to be significantly higher in the patient group with thyroid diseases than in the control group.
1847035 tn?1327274923 I use neutrogena the brown face bar for acne prone skin for years it can be drying just dnt leave the soap on longer than a minute it washes clean and contains no medicine use a good face lotion as well with breakouts apply a cream from cvs or rite aid that contains benzoyl peroxide and apply generously at night or every other its drying then u should start to clear if u have huge cyst like bumps.
Avatar m tn Hello, For premature acne, if the acne is protected from the sunlight and sometimes an antioxidant treatment if applied in the initial stage to cure the lesions of acne then it can be cured at the beginning. Then medical treatment is the same as adult acne i.e initially benzoyl peroxide and topical antibiotics are used. But they are to be used under medical supervision and not one one’s own.
Avatar n tn ve tried benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, gentle cleaners (cetaphil), harsh cleaners, etc. I though it was my moisturizer(loreal for dry skin 48hrs) so I switched to different moisturizers (cetaphil/jojoba oil/almond oil) and that helped but there are still quite a few bumps. Benzoyl peroxide helps for a little while but them stops working. Salicylic acid makes them worse. The problem is that they itch so i pick at them and make then many times worse. I don't know what to try anymore.
Avatar n tn Oh, I'm sorry to hear about this. Skin problems are so emotional in nature too because of how we all are about our appearance. But you are not alone. When the health crisis blows over, seeing a dermatologist may be of benefit to you. They do have things they can prescribe. Retin-A is one of them. Some women also have success going on birth control pills when they have adult acne. Make sure your make up isn't contributing to the issue as well.
11083698 tn?1415151204 Hello, I have had a strong craving for salt for many years now. Close to seven years. I eat salt by itself everyday I feel like I need it. If I get to feeling really tired or weak I eat salt and I perk up. I also have bad adult acne, and I never really had acne as a teenager. I'm not sure if these two things are anywhere near related to each other, but if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.
Avatar f tn i noticed that my right eyelid has sagged suddenly more predominantly than my left one. i used facial wipe 2 days back, and i suspect it must have caused some problem. it was from loreal so i thought i could use it, but didn't imagine it could cause my eyelid to sag. i am just 16 years old. or is it due to summer heat? i am in india, so summer is harsh. but i did moisturise my skin. i used a new facial cream of olay. could it have caused the problem?or is due to stress? what is the remedy?
1388445 tn?1289267388 About a year ago my husband started developing adult acne. He's 26 years old. Since then it has just gotten worse and worse. It now covers his cheeks, most of his fore-head and down his neck and its starting to scar. It seems like we've tried everything! over the counter acne soaps, creams, lotions, pro-active, prescrisption medication, good hygene; washing his face alot. Sometimes it gets to the white head but some are just bumps. it looks, like irritated.
Avatar f tn Hi Barb135... The reason I'm even posting here is Because you said a few things to test for to check for different kinds of thyroid problems that I begged my PCP to check for & age kept running the same standard thyroid panel & she kept saying I was "NORMAL"... Even though I was high on the 1 (F3 or F4) & low on the other (F3 or F4)... Yet even when I brought that to her (my Drs) attention She said safe want writing me anymore tests because my tests came back fine...
Avatar f tn that was very noticable and some on the front of his chest that were much larger than acne. He said it was from adult chicken pox? He also had an enlarged lymph node on his neck. He is going to good school in the United States from out of the country and I'm very worried. I have started to develop slight symptoms such as yeast infection, a couple of days after I got sick (no fever), slight fatigue and now I think I might have a lesion on my tongue.
Avatar n tn Hi. My skin has always been clear but about six months ago I got acne. The acne on my face keeps spreading. It's starts off as very small bumps on my face which later get red and swell a little. I also have lots of whiteheads and my acne. I've tried tratree oil and niacinamida and none of them seem to work. Any ideas to what to put on my face?
Avatar m tn Rosacea also causes the appearance of small blood vessels, or telangiectasias, on the face; adult acne; itchy, burning eyes; and in the late stages, a red, bulbous nose. The red, burning face can occur unpredictably or in response to certain triggers. The most common triggers of facial flushing in order are: Sun Exposure,Emotional Stress, Hot Weather, Alcohol, Spicy Foods, Exercise,Wind etc. The most effective treatment of facial flushing today is avoiding triggers.
Avatar m tn You never had an exposure.
Avatar f tn I have been to the doctors and had many blood tests done that have come back negative. I get cold easily (being in the cold for long makes me feel bad). My temp usually runs 97.2-97.5. I frequently feel like i'm running fever but i'm not.
Avatar f tn I did when I was 12 weeks..
Avatar n tn Now I have persistant and large acne on my cheeks and jawline, including cystic acne. The acne is ever present and not just once a month. My current dermo (not the one who proscribed Accutane) tells me that it's hormonal (I believe this) and that I will just have to deal with it for the rest of my life (I don't want to accept this). She does Cortosone injections on occasion for the cysts because I cannot, for the life of me, leave my face alone.
8690664 tn?1405214716 I just used the loreal sublime bronze , love it !
