Avatar f tn IgM is the more RECENT infection indicator, and IgG is the OLDER infection indicator, so your results are consistent with having a long-term infection. That was from 2005, tho, and things do change. A longterm infection sometimes doesn't show up much if at all on the tests, because the immune system gives up after a while and doesn't produce the antibodies that the tests measure.
1139187 tn?1355706647 Had every test known to mankind. All negative except the protein synthesis with electrofusion, they are doing a bone marrow check in weds. Everything else was fine.. Full blood and smear done. Any ideas? Feel like rap all the time. Terrible back pain, ear ringing.
Avatar n tn Why was it suggested? Who suggested it to you? This supplement seems like it's designed for bodybuilders. It's not regulated by the FDA, so a pharmacist may not have information on contraindications. Still, a call to your Copaxone pharmacy as well as your PCP are in order.
7163794 tn?1457366813 myself to get up? Is this in my head, or is it possible there are long term effects to pain meds and suboxone use? Could it just be me? Has anyone else felt this?
Avatar f tn Drug studies are only 4 to 8 weeks long I doub't there have ever been any long term (more than a year) studies on the long term use of gabapentin. For any one who is having trouble tapering off of gabapentin a magnesium supplement is very effective in reducing the severity of the withdrawal from gabapentin.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know the long term effects of abusing pain killers? I found out today that a friend of my husbands actually had seizures because of how long she was on vicodin. Just curious.
Avatar f tn That's a big dose. I'm not sure of long term memory effects.
963268 tn?1312900315 I have a friend with MS I've known since I was a kid...too many years ago. She's been in a wheel chair for 15 years and has no cognitive problems...My memory is getting worse. I think I'd rather be in the wheel chair.
8323481 tn?1405705654 Have I ever! The push to me to stop was I couldn't remember if I turned water on at sink at work while water was cut off resulting in flood when water was turned back on. Then during detox I got worse. But now its starting to get better. My thinking is so much clearer. I thought I'd damaged my brain and I'm sure I did but not to the level I thought. Its all part of the process. You have not done the damage you think you have. It takes time to heal. Just be patient with yourself.
Avatar m tn How long term? 6 months to a year is not that long to be on it, but if you are thinking like 5 to 10 years is more longer term. It is all definitely possible if it is needed, some times a drug will lose its ability to work after a while so has to be changed with another but I think if it works now then that's great and don't worry about the future to much, what will happen will happen. Sorry don't know about the memory and side effects long term.
Avatar f tn Ambien absolutely can cause memory loss, more commonly short-term issues, but also some people have reported problems with their long term memory as well. The good news is...if other causes have been ruled out, and Ambien seems to be the culprit, the memory issues will resolve most times after the Ambien is safely tapered.
Avatar f tn Although I have no problem remembering facts and figures and my short term memory is better than most, I have no long term memory of events. I know it's normal not to remember childhood, but I don't remember high school or college or anything I did there. In fact, my oldest memory is looking outside and seeing chairs on the lawn at my mom's birthday. That was two weeks ago and there only seems to be a vague, blank space before it. Memories just fade after a few weeks.
Avatar f tn I am not a doctor. But as far as I know , the prognosis is good if he follows the nutritional regimen given below.EF(ejection fraction) is critical. You can check it from 2D echo.Next 4 weeks is a crucial period where a lot of healing can take place.Doctor can only restore blood supply to the heart(reperfusion) through stenting. He cannot heal.Vitamin C and the protein L-Lysine and other nutrients will play a key role.No physical strain for the next 4 weeks. He can move around in the house.
Avatar m tn I am a 26 year old male. My short term memory is completely shot, if you tell me something then ask 5 to 15 mins later I'll forget at least half. I have to write lists for everything, taking allergy medication, cleaning dishes, showering, walking the dog, and working. I live a pretty much stress free life, I only work 2 - 3 days a week.
Avatar m tn hey guys, I was diagnosed with short term memory back in high school...teachers were made aware of this issue & I was given extra time to take tests/study. A few years have passed since then, but I find that I seem to be forgetting things quicker than I used to. For instance, I couldnt even remember the name of a movie I saw with my friend two days ago or our conversation....sometimes conversations hours after they have occurred. is there anythinng I can do to help improve my memory???
Avatar m tn The hand tremors are 90 percent gone, the anxiety is gone, but the memory loss, long and short term remain. Can mercury cause long and short term memory loss that would last my whole life, even 45 years after the mercury exposure?
Avatar f tn Hello, Summary, I have been diagnosed with MS in 1993, then a syrinx found (i.e, other possible cause) which never grew and a huge attack in 2000 (brain MRI with lesions and history of Optic neuritis, 2 sets of SSEPs 4 years apart both abnormal and median abnormal above syrinx site which had shrunk and finally spinal tap which previously only showed elevated lymphs now had elevated Igg synthesis and index (apparently elevated 10X lab normal).

511488 tn?1214620496 90% protein is not a good diet. Just a couple of good servings of protein a day is enough. You want to mix in as much raw, fresh veggies and some fruit as possible. And if you can afford to buy the lactic flora (good bacterias). really the only good kind is the ones that have to be refrigerated. They are live bacteria. And digestive enzyemes are good too. You see all the pharmacuticals have pretty much destroyed these and your body is not absorbing nutrients as easily without them.
