Each specialist has a different opinion as to whether or not I should continue with Coumadin - the gastroenterologist is concerned anbout the long term effects and GI bleeds and the cardiologist is concerned about the ongoing possibility of emboli...I'm caught in the middle. I'd appreciate your thoughts. Other than these two issues I'm in excellent health.

Have you discussed this with your doctor? I was changed to Pravastatin recently. You can google the warnings and side effects of that one. I also take Tricor for my hyperlipidemia. But that is a fenofibrate, not a statin. Have you ever tried the grandfather of statins, Lipitor? Talk to your doctor and get the straight answers.

Im not sure if your ready for an intervention until you understand the depth of her addiction, and that addiction is a real disease, not just a term we use to justifie using. You can look up al-anon in your area, or talk to your church if you have one.
I do agree with the ultimatum tho, if she wont recognize her problem and at least start to deal with it, you are gonna have to use the CPS threat. Like I said earlier, the baby is the only true innocent in this, and must be protected.

As the brain ages, we tend to see a change in appearance around the fluid filled spaces (the ventricles). Without knowing the cause one cannot evaluate any risk associated with farther bike riding activity. It could also be a heart spasm of the coronary vessels, but that wouldn't have a residual effect when stretching the arms....the soreness would better associate with muscle spasm.
