Polymenorrhea or bleeding from vagina more than once a month could be due to several causes such fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, uterine polyps, hormonal imbalance, thyroid problems and bleeding disorders. It could also be due to an IUD implant if you have one or due to oral contraceptive pills. It can also be a part of severe pelvic inflammatory disorder. STDs like Chlamydia and gonorrhea too can cause this.

I thought or questioned the same as you, if it could be related to the MS. My neurologist (also an expert in MS) told me that it wasn't. At least he believed it wasn't in my case. Avatar f tn It is common to have this brown discharge after periods. It may be nature’s way of cleaning the body of any dead cells and tissues after a menstrual cycle. Sexually transmitted infections, chlamydia, genital warts and gonorrhea are other causes of such vaginal discharge. Cervical cancer, polyps are few other causes. Avatar n tn You could possibly be experiencing PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). This causes you to have irregular periods. It also might not be that your menstrual cycle stops, but you tend to spot very lightly. You should get checked out as soon as you can. PCOS could cause you to get cysts on your ovaries if you do not cycle right. Birth control can regulate PCOS. I had to take birth control pills up to four years.

Avatar f tn Aside pregnancy, delayed periods could occur due to a few causes such as stress or a recent weight change, gynaecological pathology, anovulatory cycles, hormonal imbalance, PCOD, anemia, infections, systemic abnormalities, thyroid imbalances etc. just to name a few. Delayed periods for 2-3 weeks should not be a reason for alarm, since most of the time it is stress caused. I would suggest distressing yourself. Hopefully you would get your periods in a few days/ weeks.
