Loestrin vs nuvaring

Common Questions and Answers about Loestrin vs nuvaring

I am sure that 50% of this is true, but I have noticed that everytime I am on birth control, my mood is so different. I was put on the nuvaring last January and was in the hopital in February due to side effects. At the time, I didn't know exactly it was the birth control, I thought that it was just me. Well I stopped the nvaring for about two months and when I went back to my OBGYN, he told me that my body just needs to get used to it and that I would be fine.
I haven't had any weight gain, mood swings, or loss of sex drive like I did with the Nuvaring (I HATED the NR!), in fact, my sex drive has improved immensely (isn't that why I'm on BC in the first place?). Just a few notes, because so many people have talked about their pain upon insertion: I don't have any kids, and yes, it hurt. But my doc did several things: 1.) She told me to take 800 mg of aleve or advil an hour prior to insertion 2.
Only one worked, which was loestrin 24. The Bleeding is moderate with smaller clots, I have cramping and these weird contraction type things. I am now on a pill called Low Ovural that is bogus I was on it 1 month the bleeding never stopped-my Doc keeps saying give it time....hope much time Lady? Until I bleed over? This whole situation makes me wish I was born a male!!!!!
I had just gotten off Nuva Ring after two years use. I had been bleeding and spotting for almost 5 weeks on NuvaRing at the end. My ob took me off and handed me Yasmin-Pill. I opted not to use it when I got my period in October. So, on b.c. I was regular. I have been on b.c. for about 8 years, stopping once and got pregnant. When I was a teen I was irregular. Now that I am off b.c. for the first time in years I think back to when I didnt use birth control.
