Loestrin quick start

Common Questions and Answers about Loestrin quick start

loestrin

I'm wondering if I could be pregnant. I'm 23 and have been on loestrin 24, but recently switched to minastrin 24 since they discontinued loestrin. My boyfriend goes away to school so I visited him in early August. The last time I had sex was 8.10.13. I got my period 8.11.13 and it was heavier than normal (bc lighter periods/shorter periods) and if I remember correctly lasted 4-5 days. When I was supposed to get my period according to my pills (still loestrin) was sept 5.
I am 17 (Almost 18) Years Old And I Have Been Taking Loestrin Birthcontrol Pills For Atleast 9 Months. I Have Never Completely Missed A Day, Meaning I Take A Pill EveryDay, But Maybe Not At The EXACT Same Time. My Boyfriend And I Attempted To Have Sex For The First Time On The 17th Of This Month.. About Two Weeks And 2 Days Ago. He Was Not Wearing A Condom.
diet, no difference in pain. I was on Loestrin/Junel with no probs. They switched me to LoLoestrin (was it too low?). I got off of LoLo a week ago to see what happens. I've tried relaxation, soft toilet paper, cotton underwear , dabbing urine, standing more as sitting kills, Replens, AZO/pyridium. Dr's have tried: -Diflucan once & every few days -BV meds -Antibiotics for a “bladder infection” -Sitz bath -Amitriptyline nerve blocker -Pelvic floor therapy sessions (more pain!
After explaining my pain, the gyno advised that she suspected I have endo. She put me on LoEstrin to take continuously (no placebo week), and told me to come back in May. The last 16 days I have been discharging black stuff, along with regular menses. I have been in a lot of pain, particularly aching in my lower right back, which sometimes radiates up my spine and down my right leg.
I kept the diary for 3 months and got to the point I couldn’t bare it any more so asked my mum to come to the GP to help. My GP wasn’t overly receptive to start with and was happy to leave it as I had been ‘extensively tested’,Mentioned above. However my mother mentioned something that changed her attitude (Neither of us I know what triggered the change but I helped my case). She began to question me about menstrual cycle in relation to my pain and thought it possible I had endometriosis.
Hi, i was wondering could i be pregnant if i take birth control (Loestrin24 Fe) When i first started taking birth control i threw up the first morning, and that was the only time i threw up while taking Loestrin. And during the first month i was spotting and i eventually got my period on normal timing.
Thank you for the quick comment! I feel better knowing that someone else has similar effects. I took my last pill last night. I cant wait to see how I feel!!
Been on a two month break and I'm ready and excited and optimistic about this month. Will start the OPKs prob Friday CD9 and go from there. DH and I are BDing everyother day started CD 4 so I guess it's the even days and will prob kick it up a notch closer to CD 14 and try for everyday. And we are planning to keep going even after I OV just to be safe. Want to make sure to not miss the window. Prayers for me please and baby dust...
I am hoping that someone can help me...I'll start in the middle because the begining would take forever. Last Thursday I went to have a pelvic ultrasound, because of varying symptoms that I will list below: 1) hair falling out by the handfuls, not just on my head... my eyebrow are thinning, my eyelashes are falling out pretty much all hair has been fair game 2) severe pain in the low that will sometimes radiate into my buttocks.
The only medication I take is my Loestrin bcp. About 1 1/2 years ago I had a UTI that had traces of e coil in it. I took antibiotics and was fine. Then this past August, I became very sick with a virus that lasted for 7 weeks. It was a severe URI that required me to undergo several chest xray and take several antibiotics and two rounds of prednisone. Also, I used inhalers and sat in docotors offices for hours.
Thanks for your comments. The timing is the same for me - the palpitations either start or get much worse at ovulation through the end of the next period. No one tells you all this stuff happens at 40! Good luck to you.
I've been on the Nuva Ring for a year and at first i didnt' get any side effects but maybe 3-4 months ago ive had terrible mood swings, i feel very depressed, mayor loss of hair, i also got a tingling on my right arm and currently experience leg pain..often get headaches, weight gain, breast enlargement, spotty darkening of my skin (face). I'm getting off the Nuva Ring this month. I don't recommend it!

Personally, I have discontinued use of any birth control, but I'm married and ready to start a family, so that works for me. There are countless chats on line about people in your shoes. My advice? Take everything with a grain of salt and talk with your doctor. If he/she is unhelpful or unwilling to consider your health options, seek either medical or professional assistance elsewhere. Suggestions: Be responsible for knowing what goes into your body and what the risks are.
A Strong Woman VS. A Woman Of Strength A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape… But a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape. A strong woman isn't afraid of anything… But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear. A strong woman won't let anyone get the better of her… But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.
Also, I started having a lot of CM around the day I was supposed to start AF and still have a little. My Husband and I had unprotected intercourse in Dec. the day or so before I started AF (started AF on Dec. 19th) and then unprotected intercourse again around the 23rd or 24th of Jan. after I started that CM (other times we used a condom) but these 2 times we didn't. My cycle is approx. 34 days...So is the CM me ovulating again? I am so confused, or I could be pregnant.
at the 12 month mark i was with my fiance and we wanted to start trying to conceive, so bye-bye nuva ring. AF came back as before every other week. i went to the dr and he said that my progesterone levels were extremely low and i wasn't ovulating. i was shocked but he gave me progesterone to take to make sure i had only 1 AF per month...it worked. he also told me the depo can take up to 18 mos to leave my body and this is what caused this prob.
I'm just about to start yaz beacuse my dr. thinks either adenomyosis or endo, but she told me if yaz doesnt help the next step might be the depo provera shot I dont know much about it but that may be a possibility for you, or possibly even lupron depo she suggested, even though I think you get many side effects from it. It's like a fake menopause! Well good luck lemme know how things works out!
I am constantly sick and have breast tenderness though that is not as bad as it was when i started it. I dont understand this, i can see when you start the hormone treatment but to feel this way when you stop? I have taken 2 preganacy test and both were negative. I have an appointment with my dr on the 18th but it would make me feel better to know that someone else was going through this too. Does any of this make sense to anyone??
Two days later my Dr. said I could start taking my new pill Loestrin. Since then, in the past month, I have had my period twice and STILL keep spotting. Im wondering if it is a combination of the lower estrogen pill (which always makes me spot) and the miscarriage. I wonder just HOW long it will take me to get back to normal. I still have odd cramping on and off too, like a feeling of ovulating. I feel for all you women out there in the same situation.
remember the pills in the beginning and middle of the pack are stronger and if you stop taking them then your period after will be awful. usually you will start to ovulate 1-3 cycles after stopping the pill. it took the full 3 cycles for me.....i got PG on the 4th cycle. but many women conceive the first one. i recommend counting sept as CD 1 of your cycle and go out and buy an OPK....ovulation predicter kit. start using it CD7 .....there are 7 pee tests....take one a day till a pos comes up.
http://www.carolynchambersclark.com/id127.html I hope you all have quick recoveries and are full and vibrant again in no time.
I am 35, no kids and i get it about 1 week before my cycle is suppose to start. My ob/gyn told me that it happens if during ovulation it releases more fluid than normal. So, at the time your body is about to release menstruation, your cervic tend to release that fluid. (:-(...I do not like waking up in the middle of the nite thinking I've teed-teed in the bed when it has only wet my clothes. Back pain is semi bareable, but i wish it will just go the hell away.
Hi Girls, I also share your problem. I was also sent to gyno, did herpes test, came back negative, blah blah blah. I'm so frustrated! I did notice that one girl said that she was on Alesse Birth Control, as am I? Is anyone else out of curiousity? I usually tear after sex or a bowl movement. Does anyone else share these symptoms.
When can I expect to start feeling better? Or will this continue until I stop the treatment at day 7. How do I know what's the yeast infection and what's the effects of the medicine?
I have this heat start in my thigh and shoot to my lower leg. only on my left side, Its very wierd and I would love to know what it means.
Sometimes I feel like I'm going to start but nothing. I have a dr. appt. on Friday to see what the deal is. Whatever answer I get, I'll let you guys know. Maybe it'll help you. I too have tender breasts and am bloated off and on. With my son I took a test when I was a week late and it came up positive. So, I don't really think I am pregnant just bc of that and the fact that several tests have been negative. Anyway, any thoughts?
So stop washing it for a few weeks or however long it takes to allow the problem to subside, then start washing it sparingly (once a week) with a natural bar shampoo you'd find on etsy, and or with a little baking soda.
I have been on the pill now for a few years, and I just learned about ParaGard-- unlike the other IUD mentioned, this one has no hormones, and once inserted by the doctor, it lasts for up to 10 years, but you can take it out whenever you want. According to the website, since there are no hormones, you can start trying for pregnancy immediately after you take it out, and on the flip side, it supposedly begins working the day you have it put in!
