Loestrin fe weight loss

Common Questions and Answers about Loestrin fe weight loss

loestrin

Hi, I would like to loose some weight that I've put up since I started taking birth control ( Loestrin 24 Fe), any suggestions of types of diets? What should I avoid? What food promotes weight loss? Please help me, thank youu so much!
Hi- I'm 23, and been on Loestrin 24 Fe since I was 18. Last month my period missed, with a tiny bit of spotting before the period was supposed to start. I figured I might be pregnant, but 3 pregnancy tests spaced days apart proved I wasn't. I figured no biggie, I'll get my period next month- well, this month, my period is 2 days late and hasn't come yet. I'm really starting to worry. I've always had very light, short periods on Loestrin 24Fe, but I usually don't MISS periods.
I refused BC until I was 19 almost 20- All the symptoms I had (very painful heavy periods and cramping even when not on my period) have disappeared while on BC.
I'm 21 years old, I started taking loestrin fe 24 when I was 18. Everything was perfect but after 2 years my body was over powering the Loestrin and my cycle began to get heavier. I talked to my obgyn and she suggested to up the estrogen doze and prescribed me to low Ogestrel. At first, I lost 10 lbs on low Ogestrel but that didn't last long. I coud tell there was a decrease in my sex drive and I was being a lot more emotional but nothing to be alarmed about.
My husband and I had sex last week (around mid-week) and I noticed that I had forgotten to take a pill. I have been on a generic version of Loestrin FE for several months now and I took the pill I missed the day after with that day's pill. Since Friday, I have had a very low appetite. I consumed only around 900 calories on Friday (only around 500 before doing the AHA 2 mile Heart Walk) and haven't been consuming much more than 1000-1200 calories since.
So you can have hair loss and numerous other side effects, like weak nails and loss of weight. One thing I do is take a vitamin everyday for my digestive system. One of the colo-rectal surgeons that I work with told me that eating one yogurt a day would do wonders for my digestive health but I don't llike yogurt enough to do that. They nake a product that mimics the effects of the yogurt, I use Philips Colon Health but there are other brands, too.
My OB is suggesting I switch to Loestrin 24 fe but I just don't know if I'm willing to go through another potential merry-goround.
A silver lining though, is that I have been dieting and have found weight loss comes easier off the pill. (But no, I haven't lost enough to cause hair loss, and no, I'm not underweight!) When will it stop falling out? Anyone?
I'm so glad I realized that the pill was making me crazy and incredibly sensitive, I just stopped taking Loestrin FE because I have truly had enough of my ridiculous behavior, so I was looking at different options such as Nuvaring. After reading all of these post I am ready to quit on hormonal BC all together and just start using condoms with my boyfriend as much as I hate them.
My GP prescribed it because firstly I lost alot of weight about two years ago+havn't had a regular period since the weight loss, even though I'm at a healthy weight now. I was on one pill before but was severly bloated from it,tender breasts ect...I'v a really sensative body!I'm 19+still have really bad acne!
So far this is the worst effect as its been great so far (except for one more thing, the weight gain of 4 lbs. which my dr. says is just from me, although the packed clearly states it is a serious side effect and I should contact my dr.). I'm hoping as some people have stated, that on my next cycle my body will become use to the pills, and the weight will go away, if not I'm going to look into another pill and just take the active pills for 3 wks.
It's not funny but I'm so tired and just can't get pregnant due to work rules (military deployment) so I need some relief and some weight loss!!!!
He even tried giving me shots of lidocaine or something directly into my cervix (needle stab + cervix = no fun) but it just wouldn't work. So he put me on Loestrin FE for a month to trigger a period. He told me to stop taking it last Friday and scheduled me to come in to see him this morning. I was concerned when I went in this morning because my period had NOT actually started and I didn't want to repeat the last failed attempt.
my blood test showed a hormonal imbalance- LH and FSH levels were inverted (i don't know what that means, but she said it made sense with my having such an irregular period). I was given birth control pills, Loestrin 24 Fe, to take for 3 mnths then go back for followup... i'm supposed to start when my period starts. I'm still waiting for it. My last period ended April 6th...
5 stone, my mum was quite concerned, as I started feeling sick and dizzy, and am experiencing weight loss. I have always had problems with my periods, and I am looking to resolve this problem. I have been on almost every pill available, and I have also tried taking Norethisterone, and at a different time I tried Tranexamic Acid, but these didnt help. Is there anyone who can help?
Through meds and seeing a psychologist to get to the root of the problem which was a loss at the age of nine (my dad), I am now able to control the hyperventilation, racing heart, etc. The meds in combination with therapy have both helped. I get those scary palps around my period as well. I HATE it, a missed beat that leaves me breathless, I kinda get scared but not like I used to because I know that the palps are normal and I have control of my anxiety.
I felt fine physically other than I had to take it easy moving around because I felt bloated and like my stomach muscles were loose and I didn't want to pull something. I am a little overweight so with that extra weight in the front I just wanted to be cautious. The day following my surgery I still hadn't had a BM so I went for a 2.5 mile walk that evening...moderate pace (took about 50 minutes).
I am having some symptoms of being pregnant(weight gain, breast swelling and tenderness, mood swings) but I have taken several tests that show negative. Also, for the last 2 months my periods have been at least 4 days late and really light, and I am having discharge throughout the month. I was diagnosed with endometriosis about 3 years ago, but since my surgery none of the dr's have been concerned. I did have abnormal cells show up on a pap, but the biopsy turned out ok.
And my doctor is at a loss and dosent know what to do. I can tell you this I dont have cats and live a crazy life so I dont think its any of that. So cat lovers your safe. Keep the litter box clean and hug your kittys.
Ok, so I've been putting up with on again, off again itching for months on my labia, near my vaginal opening. Never "diagnosed" with HPV but I did get rid of a suspected wart this past year. Can you have a bacterial infection without discharge? It drives me CRAZY sometimes, the only thing that calms it is gold bond ointment, which is minty and refreshing but I'd like no itch. No "rash" that I can see, unless I give in and scratch.
I spent almost the entire labor sitting on an exercise ball leaning forward so my weight was off my butt. The morphine and drugs definitely eased the labor contraction pain, but did nothing for the butt spasms. Not until the epidural- after 36 hours, that finally relieved the anal-spasm-shooting-jabbing-pain. Sorry to be so long-winded, but this is a relief to communicate this somehow. Has any one else experienced this during labor? Thank you for any answers/thoughts..
