Loestrin fe brown pills

Common Questions and Answers about Loestrin fe brown pills

loestrin

Avatar f tn I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe. I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill.
Avatar f tn I am on Lo Loestrin Fe and last pill pack I accidentally skipped two white pills and two blue pills. I consistently have unprotected sex with my husband. A week after my last period I had slight spotting with brown tissue-like discharge and white like mucus along with cramping This lasted a few days. Now I’m moody and nauseous in the morning. I’m due for my next period in three days. Should I be concerned for pregnancy?
Avatar f tn I am 19, and this is my first month with the birth control lo loestrin fe. I am not sexually active in the sense I have not had sex yet, but my boyfriend and I have touched each other and done oral. During this month I've taken all my pills except during the 3rd week I forgot to take a pill one day, and despite taking it again when I remembered, I forgot to take he other on time too. So maybe that's what threw me off. But all I know is soon after I started having brown discharge.
Avatar f tn Okay so I really need help. I went on a date like 2 weeks ago. The guy fingered me with a little bit of precum on his fingers. We didn't have sex or anything. The thing is, my period is late. I'm on Loestrin 24 FE. I forgot to take one about a week before this happened but I continued taking them at around the same time every day. I'm on the 3rd brown pill out of 4 and my period still just isn't here. I'm scared. I usually start on the 2nd brown pill.
Avatar m tn I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe birth control from about 4 months now. The first month I got my period on schedule and experienced no side effects. The second month I had breakthrough bleeding for about 2 weeks in the middle of the month, but no period on the placebo pills. The second month I had light brown spotting the 2nd week but again no period. Should I be concerned?
Avatar m tn Hi, i have been on lo loestrin fe for 1 month. Today i am taking second brown pill, which is also the last one...i feel menstrual pain for a few days, but no menstruation. I am worried! Is pregnancy possible if i had intercourse with my bf (while i was on the pill) but he had never ejaculated inside? It is written that lo loestrin fe is protecting you from the first day if u are starting on the first day of your period. Thats how i did. But why is my period not coming?
Avatar n tn My gf had not been on birth control for a year or more. She began taking Lo Loestrin Fe on Oct. 20, the first day of her period. The side effects (increased acne, severe anxiety and depression, emotional lability) were so severe for her that she decided to stop before the pack was done. I believe she took roughly 2 weeks and a few days of the pack (maybe 3 weeks total), then quit them because she was so miserable.
Avatar f tn Since it is my first month on the pill I worried I may become pregnant and read that Lo loestrin fe, if taken in doses of 2 pills after sex, and two pills 12 hours later, can act as a plan b type pill. Because of this, I'm on the sugar pills 3 days earlier than I should be and was wondering if this mischeduling can cause a pregnancy? Everything I read said the pill is very effective if taken correctly and no pills are missed or skipped.
Avatar f tn ive recently been put on loestrin fe and have been experiening changes.what should i do??
Avatar m tn I was on Loestrin 24 Fe for 5 months but my doctor switched me to Lo Loestrin 24 Fe because she thought I needed a lower dose, as I kept getting recurring yeast infections. The first month that I was on Lo Loestrin I got my period, very short and very light for about 2-3 days. This month I delayed my period by a week because I was going on vacation. So when it got to the placebo pill I just took a week of "active pills" from another pack.
Avatar f tn I started the birth control le loestrin fe at the beginning of August (but I didn't wait until after my period came to begin taking the pills) I haven't had my period in those last four months. I had some weird symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness and discharge from late September to late October but not so much anymore. Is it normal to miss your period for that long after starting birth control or specifically lo loestrin fe?
Avatar f tn Hello, I've been on birth control since I was 15 (now 23) for ovarian cysts. About a year ago I switched pills from Loestrin 24 fe to Lo Loestrin 24 fe. Within the year I think I've had 2 periods (only lasting a day or so) and a few days of very light spotting. I do know this pill is the lowest dose of hormones you can have with a birth control pill. Is this normal?
Avatar f tn Hi! I just started using lo loestrin fe in September 2013. I'm on my second month but in the first month I received my period in the second week. It lasted for like two to three weeks. Then I was period free for a week or so which was the two brown sugar pills and then the first week of my second pack. I'm now on the second week of my second pack and have received my period again! Can someone please explain to me why I'm getting my period now instead of the sugar pills?
Avatar f tn I have been on lo loestrin fe for the past 4 months. This past month I had breakthrough bleeding. I've been told that breakthrough bleeding means that I am not protected anymore, but does that mean that my pills were not working for the entire month prior to breakthrough or just the time after that? Could I have gotten pregnant before breakthrough even if I had taken pills regularly? Thanks so much!
Avatar n tn Every time I go to my pharmacy to get my BC, they switch me from Junel FE 1/20 to Blisovi FE 1/20. They always say they are out of whichever brand I am currently using at the time. I Googled both brands and they have the same ingredients in them. I was wondering if it is unhealthy to keep switching brands even though they have the same stuff in the pills?
Avatar f tn My boyfriend ejaculated inside me last week for the first time since I’ve been on birth control (Lo Loestrin Fe, 1 year/4 months) and I’ve been stressed out ever since. I just completed my pill pack and started experiencing brown gooey discharge yesterday on the second to last brown pill and I don’t know if this is my period or could possibly be implantation bleeding.
Avatar f tn I stopped taking Lo Loestrin Fe because of the spotting I had before my period. I am now into month 3 of not taking birth control and my body is acting weird. My last period I spotted 3 days before my period and my period was very light and short. Now I have been spotting 10 days before my scheduled period August 13. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex July 31st and August 2nd and after August 2nd is when the light brown spotting started. Could I be pregnant or is it just normal spotting??
Avatar f tn I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe for 7 months now, and I have semi-regular, light periods. I may have had unprotected intercourse on the 30th of September, but I bled on my placebo pills when expected, although very lightly. Could this possibly be implantation bleeding, or am I just paranoid?
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm currently taking Loestrin 24 Fe, because I don't have enough hormones in my body, causing an irregulation.. Anyways, I would like to know more about this pill? Would it increase my possibilities of conceiving after I stop taking them? Would I gain weight? Thank you.
Avatar m tn I've been on Loestrin 24 fe for about a year now. I take it regularly and consistently, but vomited a few hours after taking one pill of this month's pack. I'm on the second day of the placebo pills now, and I did not have a period last month at all. My boyfriend and I have been having sex, without using condoms, for 5 months and everything has been fine, but I'd like some reassurance. Could missing that one pill in the first week of pills cause me to be pregnant?
Avatar f tn Hi! All of the symptoms that you mentioned can be caused by the ring. Unfortunately, they can also be caused by oral contraceptive pills. The pills can also have the side effect of nausea and potentially constipation (the "fe" stands for iron in Loestrin fe). With any hormonal contraceptive, you are going to have some side effects, so the way to go about choosing which to use, is to choose the one the is the best trade off for you (eg. the side effects for the contraceptive benefit).
Avatar f tn I was taking to Loestrin Fe for a while. I took it in the morning with water. I seemed to have a little bit of heartburn, but after I ate something it got better. I also was diagnosed with Endo. I had some problems with spotting for a while with Loestrin Fe so my Dr. switched me to a different pill. It's a generic version with more hormones.
Avatar f tn Hello. I am on my 3rd year of being on Loestrin 24 FE and in the first month or two I had the regular spotting and breakthrough bleeding. However, in the past couple of months I have experienced spotting and breakthrough bleeding all over again and that is not normal for me. What could be going on? I take my pill at the same time daily and there haven't been any changes of lifestyle.
Avatar n tn My gynecologist prescribed me lo loestrin fe to help with irregular and painful periods. I started taking it the first day of my period, Dec 25. I continued to bleed until Jan 20 (CD 27/the last white pill before the brown placebo pills) I also had sex on Jan 21at around 1:00 AM using the withdraw method correctly. I took a pregnancy test on Jan 28 and it was negative.

Avatar f tn m not sure which birth control pill you are taking, but I assume it is Loestrin 24 Fe from your title. Yes, it is a little unusual that you started bleeding so early on after starting your birth control pills and that you have been bleeding for so long. It may be related to the fact that you haven't had a period for 2.5 years. Your uterine lining has been building up for 2.5 years. Remember normally, your uterine lining is shed every month. But you have not had a period for 2.
