I have been on Junel Fe 1/20 for about 6 months now. When I first started taking the pill, I had normal periods for about 4 days. As the months went on, the periods got much lighter and shorter, limiting them to just about a day. Now, this past month, I had no period at all (but still the normal slight cramping that goes along with it.) This is a normal reaction to birth control and not a sign of pregnancy correct? I was previously on Lo Loestrin Fe and never got periods with this pill.
Every time I go to my pharmacy to get my BC, they switch me from Junel FE 1/20 to Blisovi FE 1/20. They always say they are out of whichever brand I am currently using at the time. I Googled both brands and they have the same ingredients in them. I was wondering if it is unhealthy to keep switching brands even though they have the same stuff in the pills?

Hi, i have been on lo loestrin fe for 1 month. Today i am taking second brown pill, which is also the last one...i feel menstrual pain for a few days, but no menstruation. I am worried! Is pregnancy possible if i had intercourse with my bf (while i was on the pill) but he had never ejaculated inside? It is written that lo loestrin fe is protecting you from the first day if u are starting on the first day of your period. Thats how i did. But why is my period not coming?

Yes, it is a little unusual that you started bleeding so early on after starting your birth control pills and that you have been bleeding for so long. It may be related to the fact that you haven't had a period for 2.5 years. Your uterine lining has been building up for 2.5 years. Remember normally, your uterine lining is shed every month. But you have not had a period for 2.
My gf had not been on birth control for a year or more. She began taking Lo Loestrin Fe on Oct. 20, the first day of her period. The side effects (increased acne, severe anxiety and depression, emotional lability) were so severe for her that she decided to stop before the pack was done. I believe she took roughly 2 weeks and a few days of the pack (maybe 3 weeks total), then quit them because she was so miserable.

I've been on birth control since I was 15 (now 23) for ovarian cysts. About a year ago I switched pills from Loestrin 24 fe to Lo Loestrin 24 fe. Within the year I think I've had 2 periods (only lasting a day or so) and a few days of very light spotting. I do know this pill is the lowest dose of hormones you can have with a birth control pill. Is this normal?
Made me feel like i had to puke all the time for days till i fig out it was the pill, finally they lowered my dose to Loestrin 1/20 fe. neve had that prob again. But with loestrin i do not get AF ever in 8 yrs. just make sure you take estrostep same time everyday cause if you take it too close to each other you can prob feel sick like i was. But everyone is diff good luck!
I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe.
I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill.
I started the birth control le loestrin fe at the beginning of August (but I didn't wait until after my period came to begin taking the pills) I haven't had my period in those last four months. I had some weird symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness and discharge from late September to late October but not so much anymore. Hello. I am on my 3rd year of being on Loestrin 24 FE and in the first month or two I had the regular spotting and breakthrough bleeding. However, in the past couple of months I have experienced spotting and breakthrough bleeding all over again and that is not normal for me. What could be going on? Hello, I'm in my inactive week of my third month of birth control and I will be starting my fourth month. I started with lo loestrin fe and was switched to gildess fe 1/20. I haven't had my period in about a month. I've read in forums that it's common and I shouldn't be nervous but I am! about a week ago I had a tiny bit of blood when I wiped and then the next day the same thing, but that's it. I was taking Loestrin Fe and had alot of spotting the first month (not necessarily while having sex). I also had more spotting in the third month. I told my doctor & she said that the hormones were too low for me. I would let your doctor know and see if there might be a better one out there for you.
I was on Loestrin 1/20 Fe for 2 years and it initially seemed to help the acne, but eventually it got worse. I switched to Estrostep 1/20 for 6 months and it got even worse. Then I switched to Ortho Cyclen in hope that the higher estrogen dosage would help. It has and my face is almost clear after 3 months. However, it has made me gain weight and be bloated all the time. This is not okay, so I definitely need to switch again because I cannot afford to buy all new clothes in the next size up.

With any hormonal contraceptive, you are going to have some side effects, so the way to go about choosing which to use, is to choose the one the is the best trade off for you (eg. the side effects for the contraceptive benefit).
Finally, because you used the method before with no problems, SOME of your symptoms may be situational too--so consider some stress reduction!

Hi! For the last two months, my period has been on time but instead of lasting 3-4 days, it has only been for 1-2. It's also very light, I almost never have to use a tampon. But it's concerning because I don't think anything is coming out. I'm getting my usual cramps and such but today (which should be my third day) I have translucent pink discharge instead of my period.
