I also took lo loestrin for about a month and stopped right before the brown pills because I was also feeling depressed. The day after I stopped I got hives on my back, neck, and stomach around the time that I was supposed to take my brown pill. Not sure if it would happen that quickly but its a possibility.
I am 17. This is my 3rd month on birth control. I am sexually active with my boyfriend. We both have been tested and we are free of any STDs. I'm on Loestrin 24. My first month I had a few days of breakthrough bleeding but my period was on time. The 2nd month I had no breakthrough bleeding and everything was on time perfectly. Now this month, I've taken all of my pills on time except one, which I was two hours late.
I've not had any problems with Yaz or Loestrin 24. I'm on Loestrin right now because Yaz made me pretty low emotionally. However, I think because they are so low dose pills, they shouldn't cause such a problem.
I've heard bad thinkgs about Seasonal/ique, though. I dunno. I take Loestrin continiously and haven't had an issue, I don't see why you would bother with a pill specifically marketed as "less periods" when you can have them with any.
I am on Lo Loestrin Fe and last pill pack I accidentally skipped two white pills and two blue pills. I consistently have unprotected sex with my husband. A week after my last period I had slight spotting with brown tissue-like discharge and white like mucus along with cramping This lasted a few days. Now I’m moody and nauseous in the morning. I’m due for my next period in three days. Should I be concerned for pregnancy?
About a week or two earlier than my placebo pills, I got what I think was my period - heavy, had clots in it, and lasted roughly 3 or 4 days. I had no period during my placebo pills and brown discharge shortly thereafter. Now two weeks into my new pack pills, I got nervous and decided to take a pregnancy test. First hpt was digital and read 'pregnant'. Second hpt was standard with one line signifying not pregnant and two lines for pregnant.

Two months ago, my doctor changed my birth control pills to Loestrin 24 from just another off brand pill. I didn't have my period last month. I have had a couple days of spotting. This past week though, I have had a lot of brown discharge. It is almost like I have had the end of my period for a week because it is the same kind of discharge like when I end my periods, except I am having so much more.
It lasted for like two to three weeks. Then I was period free for a week or so which was the two brown sugar pills and then the first week of my second pack. I'm now on the second week of my second pack and have received my period again! Can someone please explain to me why I'm getting my period now instead of the sugar pills? Also could my excessive bleeding (the period for two to three weeks) been a miscarriage?
I have yellow discharge 3 days before my period and before that I had brown discharge. I've been on loestrin 24 and idk what's goin on?!!??

The thing is, my period is late. I'm on Loestrin 24 FE. I forgot to take one about a week before this happened but I continued taking them at around the same time every day. I'm on the 3rd brown pill out of 4 and my period still just isn't here. I'm scared. I usually start on the 2nd brown pill.
I've personally never heard of breakthrough bleeding meaning that you aren't protected... You are probably thinking that because sometimes breakthrough bleeding is caused by missing pills or not taking them on time. I used to have really bad breakthrough bleeding issues before my laparoscopy to remove endometriosis, and it would happen with every pill, but I remember I had a lot of it when I was on loestrin for some reason.
Over the past three days I have experienced some brown spotting and light (almost pink) blood spotting. I have also been a little crampy and nauseous. Today, especially, I woke up and was dry heaving. I have not noticed any unusual fatigue or headaches.
Could I possibly be pregnant or is it too soon to tell? I have been pregnant before...but I don't remember the fatigue or nausea setting in until I was about 8 weeks pregnant.
Has anyone ever switched from Loestrin 24 to Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo? Anybody ever gotten pregnant while on the "lo estrogen" pills? I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. Now I am on Ortho and am a little nervous because I've heard and read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill. Any advice????
Hi, i have been on lo loestrin fe for 1 month. Today i am taking second brown pill, which is also the last one...i feel menstrual pain for a few days, but no menstruation. I am worried! Is pregnancy possible if i had intercourse with my bf (while i was on the pill) but he had never ejaculated inside? It is written that lo loestrin fe is protecting you from the first day if u are starting on the first day of your period. Thats how i did. But why is my period not coming?
Since it is my first month on the pill I worried I may become pregnant and read that Lo loestrin fe, if taken in doses of 2 pills after sex, and two pills 12 hours later, can act as a plan b type pill. Because of this, I'm on the sugar pills 3 days earlier than I should be and was wondering if this mischeduling can cause a pregnancy? Everything I read said the pill is very effective if taken correctly and no pills are missed or skipped.
Ok, my obgyn put me on Loestrin 24 to help alleviate my severe cramps, which has worked. I have been on Loestrin since December of 2007. Even now, my periods are completely sporatic, and unpredictable. I averaged(since I started the pills) 1-2 periods a month, but they were and still are very light. But in October, I had three periods, no crapms, and all three periods consisted of a vinegary smelling dark brown blood. I even tried using a ******, and I wash down there every time I shower.
I was on Loestrin 24 Fe for 5 months but my doctor switched me to Lo Loestrin 24 Fe because she thought I needed a lower dose, as I kept getting recurring yeast infections. The first month that I was on Lo Loestrin I got my period, very short and very light for about 2-3 days. This month I delayed my period by a week because I was going on vacation. So when it got to the placebo pill I just took a week of "active pills" from another pack.

You can safely skip your period for an extended amount of time. Studies show no harm is done in skipping periods for even long amounts of time. Just don't take the placebo pills the last week of your birth control pills, instead go directly to the next package.

but this month ive been really bad with taking my pills, mainly because ive been super sick. i was already on my last 5 pills of the pack. but last week i happened to miss a pill... and this month ive gone from 10 pm to 1 am on taking my pill so i never really take it at the same time. and on 01/22 my bf slept over and he came inside me. i didnt tell him about the missed pill i just didnt want to make a big deal of it. but i decided no more...
