Loestrin birth control side effects

Common Questions and Answers about Loestrin birth control side effects

loestrin

Avatar f tn A drug is usually prescribed by a doctor when its benefits outweigh the risks. The common side effects of Loestrin are mild nausea, vomiting, bloating, stomach cramps; breast tenderness or swelling, nipple discharge; vaginal itching or discharge; or changes in your menstrual periods, weight change, decreased sex drive etc.It is not necessary that all women will experience them. If you are anxious discuss it with your gynecologist. Take care and regards!

Avatar f tn The paragard is the only birth control that worked for me after my son. It's a non hormonal IUD so no regular birth control side effects come along with it. I loved it and will be getting another one put in after this baby!
737515 tn?1252552423 ve experienced depression, anxiety, headaches, weird breathing/yawning side effects, you name it...currently I am taking a break from birth control (my boyfriend lives 3 hours away anyway, so honestly it doesn't get to happen that often), and trying to get my body regulated after this terrible bout with YAZ, but I was on Loestrin-24 about a year 1/2 ago & had very mild side effects with that one (about 10 lbs of weight gain)...so maybe give it a try. Hope this helps & good luck!
Avatar n tn I just started a new birth control pill called lo loestrin fe. I was on a higher dose birth control but having some side effects so i switched to this one. This was my first month of taking this pill and have gone through the entire pack and did not get my period (i am 2 days into the new pack). I am not sexually active so I am not pregnant but is there a reason for not getting it? Is this bad or is it because its a new pill?
Avatar f tn s body is different, however my two sister in laws have the paraguard and it works amazingly for them they each have had it ok for almost 2 years. No birth control seems to be right for me so I have decides no both control here.
Avatar m tn When I was 17, I started taking Lo Loestrin Fe birth control pills. I took them until my sophomore year of college, which I stopped in Feb. 2015 because I was on antibiotics and was not sexually active at the time, anyway. I had no side effects while taking this pill & still received a regular period, from what I can remember. This past July I decided to get back on the pill, as my migraines with my period were getting worse and I was once again sexually active.
Avatar n tn yes i am going though the same thing, have you come up with anything?
Avatar f tn So, I started taking Lo Loestrin Fe June 2nd. Also, I feel like I should mention this is the first time I've ever been on birth control. So this is start of week 7. And since July 7th or so, I've gone between spotting to regular period bleeding. (Not that i bleed very heavy at all, but still.) And along with that, I'm cramping worse than ever. Also, it's made me the moodiest most emotional person since the second week of taking it.
Avatar f tn However, over the past few years I believe that ortho-tricylen has caused me to gain weight and feel extra anxious. My pill pack is ending this sunday and I was toying with the idea of stopping my birth control all together to see if the symptoms were indeed from ortho-tricylen. My ideal solution would be to find a pill with lower symptoms but this has stumped my gynecologist and primary physician, as a lower dose pill seems to cause spotting for me.
Avatar f tn Did u have irregular bleeding before starting birth control? Any bleeding in between periods?
Avatar f tn More then likely it's the birth control combined with your period. I don't think you have any reason to worry.
Avatar f tn What type of birth control pill do you like the best! (Least side effects, has some benefits ie lighter periods, painless periods, better PMS symptoms...
Avatar f tn I've been taking Loestrin birth control pills for only a week and I had unprotected sex is there a possibiliy I could become pregnant?
Avatar f tn I don't think it would have any effect on the baby at this stage. Just make sure you stop taking it now. If you are really concerned check with your doctor but I don't think you have anything to worry about being that you are early in your pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I just need suggestions for birth control pills that are good for people who are extremely sensitive to hormones. I've had the Mirena IUD, which didn't cause me to gain weight, but caused my skin to look awful and other issues. I know every person reacts differently to birth controls, but I'm really starting to feel like there is nothing out there for me. I just don't want to gain weight or get acne.
Avatar m tn I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe birth control from about 4 months now. The first month I got my period on schedule and experienced no side effects. The second month I had breakthrough bleeding for about 2 weeks in the middle of the month, but no period on the placebo pills. The second month I had light brown spotting the 2nd week but again no period. Should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe. I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill.
Avatar n tn I am wondering what is a good type of birth control to take for acne and that will regulate my period, but won't effect my hormones too much? I have tried mulitple birth control such as ortho-tricyclen and multiple others that I can't remember the names to. They each helped with my acne and to regulate my period significantly but I didn't like taking them.
Avatar f tn My question is what is a good birth control? I have only ever been on the mini pill when breastfeeding, Implanon, and about 2 weeks of Lo Loestrin Fe which made me moody and very bloated. I need something that has little side effects and is good for women who were diagnosed with PCOS.
1095600 tn?1333823007 Yes while I was on birth control pill I was nauses all night insomnia which I never suffered from I was sleeping 2-3 hrs a night horrible which made me moodier than just all the extra hormones them self
