Avatar f tn I've been taking Loestrin birth control pills for only a week and I had unprotected sex is there a possibiliy I could become pregnant?
Avatar f tn I don't think it would have any effect on the baby at this stage. Just make sure you stop taking it now. If you are really concerned check with your doctor but I don't think you have anything to worry about being that you are early in your pregnancy.
Avatar n tn I am wondering what is a good type of birth control to take for acne and that will regulate my period, but won't effect my hormones too much? I have tried mulitple birth control such as ortho-tricyclen and multiple others that I can't remember the names to. They each helped with my acne and to regulate my period significantly but I didn't like taking them.

Avatar f tn More then likely it's the birth control combined with your period. I don't think you have any reason to worry.
Avatar f tn I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe. I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill.
Avatar f tn Hi, I recetly experienced very heavy bleeding that lasted for over a month.. Then I went to the ER because it was way too much.. Then, the doctor told me I should consider to start using birth control, because I need more hormones in order to have a regular period( I've always had very regular periods evey 30 days, except this one time).. So which types of birth control are better? Which ones are not as effective? Would it affect me if I want to conceive?
Avatar n tn Im six days late for my period. Im on the birth control LoEstrin and my boyfriend and I use condoms so I didnt think I was pregnant. I took a test two days ago to be sure and it came out negative. Is there another reason that Im so late? Is it okay to be this late even on birth control? Could I actually be pregnant and the test was just a false negative?
Avatar n tn I had two dermoid cysts/tumors, one on each ovary (the one on left ovary was very large) that had been misdiagnosed for years. Only in the last two years was I in any kind of pain. I had emergency surgery last May to remove the dermoids. I did not have a real period until March. I was put on Loestrin birth control pills to "give my ovaries a rest" and stop functional cysts from occuring. But for six months I was in excruciating pain.
Avatar f tn If Loestrin is a birth control pill (and google says it is) you won't get pregnant. You need to stop taking the pill and find alternate ways to balance your hormones. Maca root is great for this, as is vitex. But once you get that BFP stop taking them both!
Avatar n tn t comfortable prescribing it to me and said that regular birth control pills would work just as well. She gave me a prescription for Loestrin and said I could start and stop taking it any time. However, I forgot to ask her about when the best time to start on them is! See, the reason why I'm not on any hormonal birth control is because they usually make me very bloated and moody.
Avatar f tn I am 25 years old and i am looking for the right birth control for me. I have done some research on the depo shot and all i hear is bad reviews.
Avatar f tn Both low-dose and continuous cycle birth control can contribute to spotting. If you tell your doctor your experiences and concerns about weight gain, they may able find one that hits the sweet spot.
Avatar f tn I am supposed to take it for 3 weeks, two times a day. I am also on Loestrin Fe 24. Sunday, I took a white pill on the birth control. Monday/Yesterday was my first Iron pill this month to trigger my cycle. I had sex on Sunday. He ejaculated in me. What are the chances that I will get pregnant? Is it a possibility since it was one day before my cycle started?
Avatar f tn I just need suggestions for birth control pills that are good for people who are extremely sensitive to hormones. I've had the Mirena IUD, which didn't cause me to gain weight, but caused my skin to look awful and other issues. I know every person reacts differently to birth controls, but I'm really starting to feel like there is nothing out there for me. I just don't want to gain weight or get acne.
8550901 tn?1400740690 Which birth control method should I use? which do ya recommend? I want a method that doesn't have gaining weight side effects?
Avatar f tn I started the birth control le loestrin fe at the beginning of August (but I didn't wait until after my period came to begin taking the pills) I haven't had my period in those last four months. I had some weird symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness and discharge from late September to late October but not so much anymore. Is it normal to miss your period for that long after starting birth control or specifically lo loestrin fe?
Avatar f tn I take lexapro with loestrin fe birth control as well as my medication for diabetes. So far, if anything I am getting better sleep and overall feel better than I have in years. My anxiety hasn't competely gone away, but my depression has greatly improved.
Avatar f tn I liked it better then Loestrin, since while on Loestrin I had breakthrough bleeding every single day. (So annoying.) But even with Femcon, I had breakthrough during the third week, but I was reading that a lot of women get breakthrough bleeding during the first couple of months.
