Avatar m tn What medications are you taking for this problem? Any other medial problems? When was the last time you had a cardiac work-up (e.g. stress test, echo, labs for lipids, etc.)? Have your mediations been changed lately or have you switched from brand to generic or different generic companies recently? If so, discuss this with your doctor since often times this is a side effect, but there are so many other drugs to use in place of it.

Avatar n tn Could taking digoxin and lisinopril before I get up make me short of breath and wheeze?
Avatar n tn started 10mg lisinopril last month and have noticed a change in vision. In the past I have only required drug store reading glasses for close vision, but now I need them for reading things that are 3 - 5' away. Do your eyes adjust to this med with time, is it just something you should live with or is a change in medication required ?
Avatar f tn I was put on a low salt diet, and a daily baby aspirin regimen plus 25mg Spirinolactone, 10 mg Lisinopril once a day, and 6.25 mg Carvedilol twice a day. Echocardiogram in April showed a slight improvement of EF from less than 20% in December, to 25-30%. I was advised to get a bi-v icd, which was done May 15. The device has been checked twice since release from hospital, everything is working extremely well, no complications.
Avatar m tn I have been taking Lisinopril for 2 years and since then my resting heart rate is between 90-100. Here recently though after I take Lisinopril it has jumped to 130 when walking 100 when resting. I take Lisinopril in the morning and my pulse jumps but at night it gos back to being okay (Lisinopril's half life is 12 hours). I haven't taken today because I was out but my resting pulse is 90 and when I went to WalMart it went no higher than 110 unlike 140 yesterday.
Avatar m tn After questioning why I had high blood pressure and not getting any answers I asked to see another doc and he added Lisinopril 10mg and said come back in 6 months. Since then BP has been steady at 130's/40's. After bugging the doc enough about why at 32 i have to take 3 meds to keep BP under control he has finally set me up to see a kidney specialist.
Avatar f tn I have also noticed hair loss and fatigue has anyone else experienced hair loss and fatigue from taking this drug?
Avatar f tn What questions should I ask re what type of blood pressure medication I should be on? I tried benicar and lisinopril and caused sinus drainage - however, they worked Then tried hydrochlorothiazide which cause major constipation .... Now on amlopidine beselate and coreq cr and have fatigue....seems the latter meds are overkill as I had only one coronary stent over 10 hrs ago and cardiologist a few weeks ago said my heart is fine.
Avatar m tn I have been taking 40 mg lisinopril for 3 months. It works on my BP but I am coughing and my nose is running.
63984 tn?1385437939 However, seven months later I am experiencing extreme fatigue again, and even walking 100 yards to the community mailbox exhausts me, and my lungs are once again filling with water, even though I'm taking 160mg of Lasix and two spiro tabs a day. My BNP levels are again very elevated in the thousands, but my doctors aren't overly concerned about that now. I'm taking beta blockers, Lisinopril, Plavix and aspirin.
Avatar n tn Anemia can cause fatigue. Without sufficient iron, your blood can't carry enough oxygen to the cells in your body. The result: fatigue, weakness, faintness, and dizziness. Then there can be iron overload. Some individual inherit a tendency to accumulate iron in the blood and fatigue is a common symptom. The only way to know if you have this condition is to have one of two tests: a transferrin saturation blood test or a serum ferritin test.
Avatar n tn I also have had frequent headaches, fatigue, and some chest discomfort (heaviness, not acute pain). Nevertheless, no a-fib. I realize both medications are intended to lower blood pressure in addition to controlling the rhythm. I have normal heart structure and no history of heart attack. My blood pressure was 120s/60s on sotalol and Benicar. Is this opposite effect (higher instead of lower blood pressure) common with this medication? Thank you.
1210142 tn?1266077031 After my bare metal stents were clogged and I almost got another heart attack, a DES was placed inside those two. Since then I have been having chest pains. I am currently on Plavix, Aspirin, Simvastatin, Lisinopril and Carvedilol/Coreg/. Stopped Lisinopril for a little bit and felt much better- unfortunately my blood pressure went a little up. Then my PCP substitute it for Losartan- have been taking this drug/25 mg/ for a week and feel extremely dizzy and nauseated.
Avatar n tn My ef at that time was 15%. I also had significant mitral valve regurgitation. I was prescribed Coreg and lisinopril. My most recent echo (May, 2010) shows ef of 20%. MVR was mild to moderate at that time. My question....when is mitral valve repair/replacement considered to improve heart function?
Avatar f tn Looking for good new...found out I am pregnant and am taking Lisinopril 10mg. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Avatar m tn I have been having a constant chest pounding and pain radiating all over my left and right breast area, all tests done proved negative for heart condition but the pain rather than decreasing, seem to be increasing in intensity. I am on LISINOPRIL-HCTZ 20-25MG and BYSTOLIC for HBP I am also on PRAVASTATIN for Cholesterol. I recently had to stop the Bystolic because my heart rate was low between 45-62.
Avatar n tn 20 mg in 7 am , and 20 mg Lisinopril in 7 pm (so total = 40 mg Lisinopril per day). During the day (systolic) hypertension goes 150-160 mmHg and only in 2-4pm it is 130 mmHg (and at 10-12 pm). What should be done for this patient. Maybe trying a diuretic (hydrochlorthiazid) and lowering the dose of Lisinopril? Please tell what do you think of the doses to start trying, how often and when during the day? (P.S.
Avatar f tn Lisinopril and Metoprolol when I left the hospital, now Lisinopril and carvedilol (coreg). seems like a relatively common combination.
Avatar f tn I have been taking 10 mg. Lisinopril for 3 years for high BP. Approx. 2 weeks ago, I started experiencing the following symptoms: thickness (pressure) in my neck & chest, dull pain primarily down my left arm, dull chronic headache, extreme fatigue. I come from a family with a history of heart disease. I had a stress test done 2 yrs ago, & everything looked fine. I am beginning to wonder if I could be a candidate for a clogged artery other than within the heart chambers?
Avatar n tn On the 30 day follow up from hospitalization and another echocardiobram I was told my heart function was up to 30%. My lisinopril went from 10 to 20 mg. On my 30 day follow-up office visit from the following cardiocatherization I was told my heart was functioning at 25% even though I was feeling better than before I had the cardiac event in December. Even though I was feeling better the doctor increased my lisinopril to 40mg. I don't get it.
Avatar n tn s picked about 7 hours after taking Lisinopril and was really bad at about 12 hours after taking Lisinopril. I experienced about 3100 PVC's during this 24 hr holter report of which approximately 1600 of them came in this 5 hour period between the 7 hour and 12 hour mark post Lisinopril. I do have about 20-80 PVC's per hour during the rest of the day. any thoughts???
Avatar f tn I take Coreg(Carvedilol) and Lisinopril. I still want children very badly and was told that basically, there were meds that I can take instead of Lisinopril, but I would have to stop taking Coreg. Of course, I would just have to see how I would do without Coreg... Are there any alternatives to Coreg?
Avatar f tn My husband has severe shortness of breath on any exercise, fatigue, and difficult-to-control high blood pressure. His latest echocardiogram was stated to be "normal" by a cardiologist but showed a low E:A ratio of 0.74, E peak of 0.572, A peak of 0.711, IVRT 134, DT 250. He had an angiogram stated to be "clear" but we haven't seen the report yet. His symptoms continue and are very scary.
