Avatar n tn Both the diastolic and the systolic remain high (higher than before exercise) for 12 hours after exercise. The rise in my diastolic bp is NOT accompanied by any feeling of anxiety. I am CERTAIN I am taking my blood pressure correctly. What could be causing this? Please do not say "See a doctor." I've seen many and they just throw pills at me and dismiss my complaint.
Avatar m tn I have been taking Lisinopril for 2 years and since then my resting heart rate is between 90-100. Here recently though after I take Lisinopril it has jumped to 130 when walking 100 when resting. I take Lisinopril in the morning and my pulse jumps but at night it gos back to being okay (Lisinopril's half life is 12 hours). I haven't taken today because I was out but my resting pulse is 90 and when I went to WalMart it went no higher than 110 unlike 140 yesterday.
961503 tn?1247059639 I have been prescribed Simvastatin 40 MG and Lisinopril 10 MG for high cholesterol and high blood pressure (1 pill each every day) - I'm on my 2nd day of Simvastatin and will be taking Lisinopril on thursday. My doctor wanted me to not start them both at the same time so that I can see, if any, side effects Sim will have - and once I start the Lisinopril, I can see what different, if any, side effects both pills could have.
Avatar f tn I have had stent implants too and was taking a bunch of meds but I was only on lisinopril for short time. The main problem is I have every side-effect from the Coreg. (dizziness, headache, nausea, light headed ness and worst of all I have developed ED because of the meds.) My Cardiologist wants to double my Coreg dosage to 6mg twice daily. I barely function now as it is, I've been on them for a month. I feel HORRIBLE!!

Avatar f tn my husband has recently been diagnosed with paroxysmal Afib. He has been taking Lisinopril for high blood pressure a little over a year. He has been taking Naproxen for arthritis for several years. We have not been able to isolate a trigger for the Afib other than his controlled blood pressure. Now I am reading that a side effect of Naproxen use is high blood pressure. Has any one else encountered this?

Avatar m tn Although I had had no symptoms, my ejection fraction was 30% at the time. Since then, I have been taking daily dose of coureg, lisinopril, and spironilactin. My ejection fraction improved to 45% one year ago. Unfortunately, my last test indicated some regression to an ejection fraction of 38%. I still have no symptoms ie shortness of breath or palpitations. My left ventricle has continued to enlarge from 6.1 cm to 7.7 cm. My question basically has to do with prognosis.

Avatar f tn m a 24 yr female recently diagnosed as hypertensive with an average BP of 145/100. I was prescribed several drugs at first that all caused intolerable side effects (Lisinopril Carveidlol Chlorthiadone). Now I'm on 50mg Losartan no side effects that I can tell. Keeps my blood pressure in a very safe level. I am on a strict diet and exercise daily. My exercises are mainly low impact - stretching, crunches, aerobics, power walks. Yesterday I decided to hop on an exercise bike.
Avatar m tn 32 year old Male. Heavy drinker. Routine blood work after starting Lisinopril 20mg. Labs came back ALT 210, AST 199. All other labs came back WNL other than WBC @ 3.9 (minimum lower limit 4.1) and Hemoglobin 16.7 (upper limit 16.5). Also hematocrit 49.3 (high is 48). I suppose my question is, everywhere I've read online state if ALT is greater than AST it is indicative of being viral as in hep c. With that said, the same ratio typical with alcoholic liver disease is usually 2-1 ratio.
Avatar f tn I went to the doctor because my blood pressure stays about 220 / 130 without medication. He prescribed lisinopril. I told him that I preferred a different medication, because sexually active women of reproductive age who are not on birth control are not supposed to take lisinopril. He told me that I was "being a bit ridiculous" and said, "you should trust your doctor." He refused to prescribe anything else. I have been taking it for two weeks now.
Avatar f tn I do not smoke and I exercises moderately 4 times a week. Besides the exercise, I have a desk job 5 days a week getting little other exercise. Someone suggested that I consider a inner imaging screening (EBT Hart scan). I am on Lipitor and Vytorin. Recent blood work revealed cholesterol at 118 but CPK at 205 also I have been experiencing lower back pain. Do you think I should consider this image screening?
