lipitor

Avatar m tn I ask because the Lipitor fullpage ads in national magazines say DO NOT BREAK TABLETS and they Lipitor website from Pfizer also says on the meds page DO NOT BREAK TABLETS but my doctor told me to break the 10 mg tabs in half and take just half each day. I wrote to Lipitor's PR department in NYC, a very polite letter, and they so far refuse to answer my emails, preferring to stonewall me, er, pillwall, me, which I do not understand why they would do that. I am a customer. I buy their pills.

Avatar n tn I was percribed Lipitor, 40mg. I have been breaking them in half and now see you should not do that. I can not swollow pills and dissolve most in my mouth with water. Why can't I do that with the lipitor? I have been trying to swollow them but by the time I get them down they are pretty much dissoved. I can't find an answer on line.
Avatar f tn If this does what they say it does it is a trillion dollar drug. The cold market alone could be in the multi-billions. Pfizer will need a new cash cow to replace Lipitor and Viagra....and it ain't Valtrex ! Can you imagine cutting your cold or flu recovery time by 2/3 or 3/4 or more ? What would you pay for that ? Pharma would love to license this from Rider and Draper Labs. This may be our cure.
Avatar f tn Pfizer called me back and said it's corn starch. I don't understand why these companies use allergans as fillers when most people with thyroid problems have multiple food allergies.
20856219 tn?1541792336 The data from Israel and UK which is mostly being relied on as the US is terrible at collecting data due to our private sector health care system, but Israel almost exclusively used the Pfizer and the UK used mostly the Pfizer and AstraZeneca, so Moderna probably has fewer people who have been studied so far.

Avatar n tn Lyrica has not been shown to have brain tumors in human beings. At least I am not aware of it. I am providing you with a link from the Pfizer Company on the drug: http://emc.medicines.org.uk/emc/assets/c/html/DisplayDoc.asp?DocumentID=14651 No evidence of meningioma or other brain tumors have been documented in preclinical studies on mice and rats as per this site. However the drug is still under research by Pfizer for certain indications and also for safety labelling.
Avatar m tn t think sinopharm is as effective as Pfizer vaccine, I wanted to to do Pfizer in first place, mrna is best vaccine according to my understandings
Avatar f tn I did write an email to Pfizer Italia, as the drug was labelled as produced by them, asking if they are interested in investigating. I haven't heard back yet... Anyway, if you can find out any place I might approach, I'd be really grateful!
Avatar f tn See, this is what I mean. I've read that the Moderna vaccine has had fewer significant side effects as the Pfizer, which isn't really a Pfizer vaccine but a BioNTech vaccine, has had more allergic reactions. But again, so far most of the evidence is anecdotal, and I don't have a choice as to which vaccine I'm getting. I really don't know. I guess I'll find out when they tell me how long it is before I get the 2d shot.
Avatar n tn I started thinking back, since menopause, I started on several meds, on of which was lipitor. Not one doctor said it could be the lipitor i was taking causing the hives. Why is there not more articles published or side effects like mine posted for lipitor??? What is your feeling on the hives from Lipitor??
Avatar m tn //www****.com/ds/lipitor/hair%20growth%20abnormal/ My question is, has anyone else taking Lipitor experience this? How do you stop this 'hair growth' ? Is there an alternative to Lipitor? Thank you!
10996785 tn?1432812977 The doctor then asked about my lipitor. She told me that lipitor has a bad side effect that can permanently damage muscles in your body, that can lead to kidney failure. I'm not saying Lipitor is bad. It does have this side effect that can effect a small amount of people. However, I without a doubt, feel as if this is my problem. Lipitor and Trazodone have combined to almost stop me in my tracks. I realize that some people may not like the talking about lipitor in this way.
Avatar f tn My husband was recently taken off of Lipitor and has been experiencing daily headaches. He's not a headache person. Is this a common thing when coming off Lipitor? Also, I have read that you should stop it gradually. Is this true?

678451 tn?1226425977 I have just started on Lipitor for what has been determined to be a genetic predisposition to High Cholesterol level. The physician wishes that I be maintained on 10 mgs. daily. However the Rx. was written for 40 mgs, to take one half tablet every second day(since the cost of procuring the 40 mg tablet is significantly lower). Will taking 20 mgs every second day give me the same benefit of 10 mgs daily. Or, is it best to take the medication daily as oppose to every second day.
10996785 tn?1432812977 Hey guys. I post in different communities here. I know that it's known that lipitor has the side-effect of muscle tiredness and aches. Has anyone else have to deal with this? Man it's off the hook. I almost am paralyzed fro, lipitor. This horrible and I would like to talk to someone who's been through it. This is a very under-rated affliction IMO. I've been tested and it doesn't look like I have the Rabadolosis<sp? That spelling isn't even close.
Avatar f tn In the US, we're now being told that if you got J&J to booster it with either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, as they have so far proven to be the most protective and safest vaccines to take. Covishield is India's version of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which is similar to the J&J in both effectiveness and problems.
Avatar m tn Pfizer has a patient assistance program that may help you. Go to pfizerhelpfulanswers.com and you can search to see what they may have available. You may also want to check with your local social services department - you may qualify for some assistance through them since your medical costs are so high. Best of luck!
