If hypothyrodism can cause high cholesterol is it not better to take thyorid hormone replacement than Lipitor?

I assume you are taking 20mg in the morning and 20mg in the evening? This is really pointless. Lipitor is well known to work while you are sleeping, because the Liver makes most cholesterol at this time. Other statin brands can be taken at any time, probably because they sit in the blood for longer or something, but Lipitor strictly instruct you to take in the evening.

I stopped the lipitor 3 days ago and the pain in my legs has stopped and feet are some better. I go to the dr. soon so I will tell her. I have stopped the lipitor before for a few days and gotten back to normal.

My understanding is that the statins with the greatest LDL reducing effect are Crestor, Lipitor, Zocor, and Pravachol, in that order. My husband was recently taken off of Lipitor and has been experiencing daily headaches. He's not a headache person. Is this a common thing when coming off Lipitor? Also, I have read that you should stop it gradually. Is this true?

He did have a CT scan last year at about the same time this year and they saw cysts on his kidney. He has had kidney stones before and drinks a lot of water, pain was different. Half of those who die of strokes or heart attacks have no history of high cholesterol. DeBakey discounted cholesterol. My own doctor pays no attention to it. What is the true role of cholesterol and how should one proceed? I don't know, but I won't take Lipitor.

He went to the ER because of terrible pain in the right side of his ribs. They gave him Vicodin and told him that he had kidney stones. The Vicodin is what really put the clinkers to it all. He almost immediately turned jaundice and went down hill from that. Is the portal hypertension most oftenly caused by cirrhosis?
