, HIV infection, spinal cord injury, tumors, an overactive thyroid, starvation and Klinefelter's cq syndrome, a genetic disorder. It can also result from an injury to the chest wall. Men who are taking certain prescription medications -- including Tagamet, Prilosec and some antipsychotic drugs -- can be affected, too. So can men who use anabolic steroids, nicotine, alcohol, marijuana, heroin and amphetamines.
