Avatar f tn Then I read about applying honey, which seemed to lessen the burn, but after a day they started to burn like before. Perhaps I applied the products too often? I found Neosporin Lip Health, Overnight Renewal Therapy (with white petroleum) and it has seemd to help as lips not as red or burning. I'm wondering if this is an allergery or just sunburned or severly chapped?
Avatar f tn about 5 months ago i went to a dermatitis and he said the reason for the chapped lips is due to using mint flavoured products and mint flavoured food and chewing gum. it has been 6 months since and i have just been using vaselene and it had made a large difference. Until a few days ago when quickly the whether changed and went from hot to cold and i was eating mint flavoured chewing gum which must had irritated my lips.
Avatar f tn About 12 days ago I noticed my bottom lip started to swell. I had just used a new lipstick, the kind that stains the lips then you put on a clear coat. I have been using this type for many months. The lip was stinging, & burning along with the swelling. I also thought this was a reaction to some antibiotics I was on. I have never had this happen before. Now, 12 days later my lips are not swelled but they still have blisters that burn, even water from the shower burns them.
Avatar m tn I licked my lips to keep them moist, but they dried immediately and became sticky when pressed together. I started using lip balm, but this gave no relief. This condition has remained constant for the last 30 days. The lips remain dry and cracked, but there have been no blisters or sores--just dry, cracked lips which remain sticky when pressed together. Apparently that kid had some sort of lip infection and passed it on to me. Do the symptoms sound familiar, and is there a cure?
Avatar f tn At first I thought the bumps were from an allergic reaction to any lip products I was using, so I switched and got all new products. I also thought the were a reaction to the sun, so I used lip products with spf. None of these things have made them go away and now I'm really starting to get worried. Does anyone know what this could be??
Avatar n tn Im 22 and ive been having this lip peeling problem for about a year now, an the lip is dry and its peeling but it never bleeds...the thing thats worrying me, is that the skin under the peeling skin looks scally..an its straight dry, anything i put on it (vasiline, chap stick, water..a bunch of stuff from the doctor) it seems like it jus ***** it up...im believe its an "alergic reaction" but im want to know if my original skin is gonna grow back?
Avatar f tn Is this the same fellow you've been with since this all started or a different one? Definitely follow up on this with your provider this week to get tested for yeast and bacterial infections genitally and get your mouth symptoms looked at. Meanwhile be sure to avoid acidic and "hot" spicey foods since they can aggravate oral herpes. Also look at your lip products youa re using too - perhaps one of them is aggravating things too.
Avatar f tn Ive been on viread for two years. Im wondering which heptech products can I take to stop cirrhosis if it is occuring and I dont know because Im in the US and we dont have fibroscan availible as of yet? Also are there side effects when taking these heptech products? Can they cause any damage?
Avatar n tn HI Grace. Maybe you can help me with this one. I've been on suppressive therapy, 400mg of acyclovir 2x daily, for about six months. In late January I started having an OB so I upped my meds to 800mg 3x daily for two days. The symptoms cleared up just fine so I went back to my usual dose. A few days later I started to feel another OB coming on so I upped the dose again. When that subsided, I went back to my usual dose.
Avatar f tn See, I grow a bit of facial hair above my lip and I remove it no problem with waxing strips. The problem is, the skin just above my upper lip (where I wax it) appears lighter than the rest of the skin on my face.
Avatar m tn So a few weeks ago a bump appeared inside my lower lip. Since then it has gotten larger and a second smaller one appeared next to it and then grew until it was the size of the first. The bumps feel firm and look kind of clear or lightly colored buy are inside my lip and not on the surface so its hard to tell. They are both entirely painless and I can feel and move them through my lip or with my tongue. Could they be inflamed lymph nodes, pockets of fluid, or even cancer?
Avatar f tn Hi, So I have not changed anything in my diet or make up products or anything. Lately for the past 6 days my bottom lip and the lip line have been itchy and burning and sometimes tingly. I went to see my family practitioner thinking I could have herpes but I never broke out with a sore or anything. But the itch is still there. I took benadryl once and it went away but then came back. My lip doesn't look swollen, nor do I see anything abnormal.
Avatar f tn My top lip is feeling better but the top lip never got as bad. My lower lip feels a little better but is still peeling more in the inner part of my lip and it seems a little raw still. The lower lip doesnt seem to be peeling quite as much as it use to so Im not sure if it is actually healing and the steroid is helping the skin to not peel as much.
Avatar f tn I know that I post a lot of questions on here and yes I have another one lol. I have noticed that as of now i am on my menstrual cycle and upon taking a shower today I noticed a red patch near the top of the opening of the vaginal area. I don't have the swollen lymph nodes or any signs that an ob was coming on. I have noticed that they were not there before I started my cycle. They don't itch or burn and they are not blisters.
Avatar n tn Hello, I am 23 years old. I am looking for which products would be best for my skin at this age and help in preventing finelines and wrinkles. Thank you.
Avatar m tn I had a serious bike accident some tym ago and my upper lip was stitched, this was around august last year. My lips have improved greatly since then but it seemed to reach a halt when the hardness and scar it had created refused to go for almost 6 months now. I believe i have been very patient and would please need some help as to how I can get rid of this and when its most likely to go. Thank you.
Avatar f tn I’m a bit of a lip balm addict so then when I couldn’t find lip balm for about a week my lips got all chapped, then I got some lip balm finally and now ive got little bumps all over my lips that are a bit itchy and swollen but not really any pain. I think they’re lacking moisture so excess sebum has come out causing fordyce spots. But let me know!
Avatar f tn Im 16 years old and im not sexually active nor have i ever engaged in intercourse. For a while now I've noticed a red rash like mark by corner of my lower lip. Im fairly certain it isnt a rash because it does not itch, but it is very slightly bumpy similar to acne. I have been using face cleasning products and acne clearing products to get rid of at least some of my acne and I'm not sure if this would be the problem? Or what the mark is.
Avatar n tn I started using a lip plisher a few months ago and it was supposed to get rid of dry skin on the lips, but it did more than that. I began to notice that a rash was apearing on and below my lip line. There are a few little red bumps but I cannot figure out what it is or how to make it go away. I stopped using that products months ago and it wont go away... Help! My lips are hurt and chaped and pealing constantly.
Avatar f tn The dryness is mostly on my upper lip, spreading above the lip border on both sides of my lip. I have consulted a doctor and taken iron and vitamin B supplement which haven't work. I use lip balm every day as well.
Avatar n tn After the lips are peeled off the same problems after a week or less symptoms like yellow crusts at the top of the bottom lip which are peeling and are hardened. From time to time splits would occur in the middle of the bottom lip which really annoys me as i cannot smile or do anything that stretches the lips. Furthermore, when it comes to solutions i have tried out i have used a range of natural solutions ranging from lemons, honey, olive oil, coconut oil and aloe Vera.
