I looked in the mirror and saw a whitish area about 5cm in diameter. The top part of it was on my bottom lip. It was very itchy, hot, and numb. It was growing, becoming 10cm in a few minutes. I applied some desonide (topical steroid) because I thought I was having an allergic reaction to a bite. The bump stopped growing and the itching subsided somewhat. But the numbness is still there, and growing. Now my entire bottom lip is numb. I couldn't find a bug around the bed. What could it be?
I had a injury to the right side of my head and eye which has left a running bruise and numbness to my whole rite side even down to my lip top but not bottom and is mostly in high cheek bone and rite side of nose..it all seems swollen a little bit but real firm. The bruise keeps running longer and I am real concerned that the numbness and tingling has been lasting almost a week.....what should I do?
Well Fri night the right side of my lip, under my chin, and half my cheek went numb, and just throbbing pain, so I call the endo sat morning, he sounded a lil panicked by the situation, he called me in a heavy antibiotic (150 mg Clindamycin) and a higher dose of vicodin (7.5-750mg) which IS NOT taking the pain away, my face is still swollen and numb, and still hurting. Has anyone else gone through this, or know what the hell is going on?
I am an healthy 22 years old men, I do not smoke and drink only socially. Four days ago, I had unprotected oral sex with a new female partner. After about 5 minutes of cunnilingus, I noticed that she was bleeding from her vagina and had some of her blood in my mouth. I also realized that I had a small cut on my inside upper lip resulting from the friction between my teeth and my lip while sucking. We did not go any further after the incident.
For about 3 months my lips have been flakey around the outer edges into the corners. It's only my upper lip that seems to have the problem. It is sometimes numb, especially in the mornings. It is very dry, like no moisture is getting to it. I keep it caked with moisturizer, like carmex, but it only helps temporarily. The upper lip is also swollen at times. My husband can see that there's a problem, but only when I get right in his face. HELP!!
I had the same problem a few times last spring and summer and now it seems to be the same thing. My top lip would get swollen either on one side or the entire lip at night. It would usually be back to almost normal by afternoon the next day. It started out slowly with just minor tingling sometimes, then progressing into a lot of swelling and taking longer and longer to go down with each time it occurred. Occurrences also go more and more frequent.
9/28 Top and tip of my tongue is tingling a little still colored. Bottom inside lip feels a little numb and maybe a bit swollen.
I had four 330 miligram pills of clindamycin (sp) which I took 9/26 and 9/27 (three and then one).
My question is what if anything is this? Is the timing coincidental or have I infected myself.
It is now almost three days later and my nose is numb. Only the nostril and my top teeth on the left side and my lip. It feels like I got shot with novacaine. The numbness started the next morning and has gotten more numb since then. It was only my nose now it is my teeth. I’ve taken Tylenol. There’s no pain. Except if I close my eye really hard my eyeball hurts or obviously if I put any pressure on my eyeball. The white of my eye also has burst blood vessels in it.
