I also had lymphadenopathy in my armpits and inner legs. my lips and penis still have small cuts that will not heal. I have had rashes in the areas between my legs and scrotum that have come and gone since the 42nd day but have never cleared up. Also, I have had rashes in the genital and *** creases that have come and gone. The rashes look more like folliculitis bumps, although one 3x5 mm area gets especially red and mildly painful and sends pain down my leg when it flares.
Soak your nipples in warm salt water and use lanolin and breastmilk. It won't completely take the soreness out, but it will help them heal and not crack. It takes a bit for your nipples to toughen up. I agree to make sure there's enough areola in baby's mouth. My son was a preemie and he still sleeps a ton and he's two months old. And falling asleep is normal. Try not to stress and rub baby's back or shoulders while feeding to try to wake him up.
Now, the skin healed but the cyst is still there - I can feel a little ball when I am pushing my tongue against the back of the lip, it also looks like a half-pea-sized pimple on my lip line. What do I do with it?
Any sore or cut etc. that has not healed in 7 to 10 days should be investigated by a professional. I think a visit to an oral surgeon is in order. It may have something to do with the dry mouth issue but a consultation is necessary.
The diagnosis for the rough patches on your lips is sevearly dry skin that won't be moisturized by most lip balms or vasaline please try blistex it is $4.00 is aus and worth every cent. Let me know how you go!
For some reason I didn't use the 3rd night but felt fine after a few days and my symptoms were gone for a few weeks. Then it came back, just much less severe but won't go away. There is hardly any discomfort on the outside only a tiny bit of burning every once and while. It's a very subtle itch up inside that comes and goes and seems to come on later on in the day. I have been to the doctor several times and at first she said she didn't see anything.
My lips are back to normal but this sore WILL NOT HEAL. I know it's not a cold sore either.
Hi, I've had a cold sore that started and went away breifly then spread to all over my lips. It's been over a month and it still won't go away. I have tried everything. I took Valtrex the 2nd day of the cold sore and it did not get better. I got the Danivir cream and continously use it, and the affected area heals but then a new area becomes infected the next day. I am now on acyclovir and prednisone, but it does not seem to be getting better.
I have an odd sore on my lip that showed up about 3-4 days ago. It is located in the meaty portion of my lower lip, almost left center (not on the edges), and when I closed my mouth, it is still on the outside of my lip. It started about 2 days prior to that with what is best described as a hard bump underneath the skin, like a slightly fat lip (but I didn't hit it at all). No tingling, burning, fevers.
Had a canker sore on the inside of my bottom lip, then it turned into a bump and won't go away
I accidently bit my inside lower lip several weeks ago and the wound is slow to heal. The wound it self seems to have a purple and white color to it. The area around it is also swollen and I've applied ice to it but this doesn't seem to bring the swelling down. It really isn't painful but it looks like I have a huge growth on my inside lip and it looks weird. Any thoughts on how I can get rid of this.
How long will it take this sore to heal and will it scar??? There is a little portion that crosses the lip/skin border - and that's what I'm most worried about - most of the sore is centered on the upper lip. Help; I'm in a panic. THANK YOU!!!
I am still worried about cancer since it just won't heal correctly and go back to normal..Should I go back to the derm or is this something that just takes time..Are there any over the counter meds i should use or do I need something stronger like a steroid cream..Thanks for any help you can provide.
If someone used lip gloss while they had a cold sore would the lip gloss and applicator be contagious and, if so, for how long (hours/weeks/days later)? I have seen varying opinions on how long the HSV virus can survive outside of the human body and wonder if it could be for a long time (i.e. days or weeks) in the moist and room temperature environment of such a substance as lip gloss or vaseline.
stay out the sun apply sunscreen to lips. Try cold sore creams thts abt it i hide frm everyone wen i get mines. Lol it takes a about a week for mines to heal and then some days after tht.
I am 40 years old and have a problem with my lips! Help! Its been reoccuring for the past 3 months. They crack at the corners and nothing seems to help what ever is causing it - to go away. I can trace the first occurance back to few days after soaking in what turned out to be a not so "hot" hot tub -could this be it? My lips, when the cracks heal, look like a little childs lips who has been licking them too much!
your throat and ear symptoms don't sound like herpes at all. sounds like an upper respiratory infection like are very common this time of the year.
My 1 year old cat develops canker sore like lesion at the lips. I have taken him to the vet 3 times. The vet said he has allergy. He had received 3 cortisone shots with no improvement. Has anybody had similar problem with his/her cat? Any suggestions how should I treat this condition. By the way, my cat has no symptoms. He seems to be playful and has good appetite. Any help would be appreciated.
I did however, since then date someone who had cold sores. In brief, it felt as though I had just had really really chapped lips that ended up splitting in one area. This area did NOT have a blister on it or anything like that but since splitting, has begun to heal (much like a canker sore). I didn't notice until lat night (I've noticed this thing for the last 3 days or so) that I have one (maybe two) tiny tiny white blisters right by where my lip split.
I had been sick previously and my lips were dried out. I put neosporne on them to help them heal, but had not had any symptoms of cold sores, no tingling, no blisters. Today I have blisters and tingling. The contact during sex was brief and minimal. The cold sores are on the top of my lips, not middle or bottom. Is it likely I transmitted herpes to my partner? How long if it was transmitted before signs show?
For the past 10 years I have had really sensitive lips and have only been able to use one type of lip balm. As anything else - lip sticks of glosses give me little sores on my lips and cause them to puff up and get little scabs and peel contantly - i also get dry patches under my eyes and eye lids. When I visited a doctor they told me I may have an allergy to nail polish and an ingrediant in lip glosses/balms its also happens when I were nail polish.
Although they have the apperance of being very sore. When I had eczema of the lips before, it effected the whole layer of both lips and was incredibly itchy. So does anyone have any ideas as to what this condition could be? Has anyone had patch testing for their condition and did it give any helpful results? Any help is much appreciated as you can probably imagine. Robhh - As for the stess part, I am convinced that it plays a key role in triggering the condition.
We were both virgins (And I know this b/c we were best friends growing up) and he apparently had a sore on his upper lip. A week later I got a couple of sores down there, and when I went to the doctor to get it checked, he automatically told me that I had an STD called herpes, and I told him it wasn't possible. When the test came back, it said that I had the type of herpes that isn't sexually transmitted. It's very confusing, and I still have to take valtrex in case of any other break outs.
If it hasn't gone down a lot in 10 days, show a doctor, but you probably won't need to. Best. Dr.
But now it looks like a pimple on the top of my lip and I'm stressed out that it won't ever go away. So will it go away? Because it's been months and it's still there. When I smile in pictures, I can see that the top right of my lip is red from the bump and it's humiliating. Isn't going to be permanent or can I still get rid of it fully?
my lips r v dry, it's all wrinkled up and peeling off. could tat be the cause? i also had a sore throat a few days after the 1st darkened lip prob and i developed a fever for 1 day and my nose started running, i kept rubbing it den the part below my right nostril felt a sharp pain. it looks like it's teared. the next day, it started healing and the next, it peeled off bt touching it now, i still could feel roughness there.
