Hello, I had a canker sore develop on the upper gum line about two days ago. It is right at the base of my gums where the inside if my lip meets, and there is actually a few of them right there on the gum and inside lip. I'm no stranger to canker sores but this one is actually causing my upper lip and the bottom of my nose to swell and the entire area is extremely painful.
Since I found out I had hsv in 2013, I've had two OB..one in July and one in nov. ..i then had another in jan 2014 and haven't had another one until now sept2014...why do u think I don't get them often? And when they come, it's only one tiny lump...it doesn't even form to a bump..it's more like a little cut with inflammation and honestly it doesn't give me any problem except if I wear tight undergarments or wash too hard. Why is that?
its the skin that not the shade of my lip it the normal skin like on my cheeks that healed over it any natural remedies/peel like aloe lemon vitamin e I need to get my lips natural shade back
i researched home remedies and natural treatments. i applied a compress of ACV. ( apple cider vinegar) i didnt realize it then but it made it way worse! and trust me i whole heartedly believe in these remedies. ill touch base on this again in a bit....
i went back to the doc in a box. the immediately said "HERPES!" apparently my shingles blood work came back negative. gee thanks doc for filling my weak immune system full of crap before finding that out. ammature hour.

I have been plagued with cold sores since I was about five. At a rate of about 1-2 every 2 months, on bad seasons, and about 1 every 2 months on good streaks.
I have tried all the "home remedies" you could imagine, and it seems that they more so irritate my cold sores rather then cure or heal them.
I have been using a 5% docosanol lip balm that I found online.
On Saturday, I noticed that a part of my lower lips was getting swollen and there were even a few blisters. I used to get cold sores all the time when I was younger and even had an episode earlier this year which was handled very effectively using abreva. So when I noticed the bump, I immediately put some abreva on it using a q tip. Not sure how or why but I realized that the swelling and yellow crusts spread all over my lower lip which has never happened before. Ever.
I continiously get lip sores on my bottom lip only. I have been getting them for years and have been prescribed many diffrent courses of creams tablets etc. There has never been one any better thanthe other and when the blisterring is at its most venemous the need to pick is almost un-bearable.
I keep away from lip balm etc as I find them to only feed the bug opposed to helping.
Alright, well, first off, since I was a child, I've been getting cracked lips on the corners of my mouth on rare occasions. I'm now 17 years old, and I still get them every once in awhile during the cold weather, or if I don't get enough hydration, but since I've been drinking lots of water, these cracked lips haven't appeared in a long time. Well, at least until recently.
Have a fever blister on my lip and would like to know if I can use Fucidin cream on it. It is an antibiotic cream.
in about 2 weeks I have not developed any other symptoms and no other sores have been present previously. current sores do not get worse and do not go away. there is only 1 MAYBE 2 instances I can think of where I could have even remotely been exposed to an infection. both were due to protected sex but a broken condom and with someone I'm not in contact with anymore. Last contact was about a year ago and all successive partners I'm 99% sure they are clean. (can't be 100% ever).
It did not turn into bumps or puss or a sore, it went away in 3 days. It was pink in color and itched at times. I put many home remedies on it like apple cider vinegar, oregano oil so not sure if that killed whatever it was or it just disappeared.
In the meantime my daughter has a small red bump on her lip. during the two or 3 weeks since I was with that person I kissed my daughter she is 2. I kiss my 9,7,2, and 1 year old all the time. short pecks near the cheek or mouth.
im 23 and ive been getting fever sores since i was around 8 i'd say and they have never left a scar...but last winter i had the flu two times in one month and towards the end of the 2nd time i had it, a fever sore started forming above my lip...the sore took almost a month to go away completely and it left a red scar there and it kinda feels like i have nerve damage,...
for the past 5 months on and off i have suffered from dry sores on the corners of my mouth after a while using cold sore lip cream it goes but then soon returns, its not contagious and not very painful but itchy and easy spreads and splits when i yawn !
Best to avoid contact with a lesion if for no other reason that prolonging the healing process.
Otherwise, no, her outbreaks or shedding will not induce an outbreak. Note though that couples can get cold sores at similar times owing to similarities in stress levels, diet, sun exposure etc.
i been dealing with cold sores for a long time usually occurs on my bottom lip actually under it and its usually in the same spot. recently i got an outbreak again there and also occurred on my nose on the side now ive never ever had an outbreak on my nose b4 can u tell me why i would of gotten it there also so right now i have it on my bottom lip and on my nose?it scares me because ive never had it on my nose b4 could i have had a fever?
I have never had a cold sore that I can remember so I'm not sure thats what this is I thought it was a zit I have them spaced out one on my lip and one below on my chin I didn't notice them till I was brushing my teeth this evening they are just red not to big my fear is that I missed my daughters cheek and head today and she's only 8 months old I'm terrified can you give it to her if that is what it is I didn't know they were even if there or I never would kissed her does y
Also, I normally only get the coldsore on my upper ride side of my lip. Recently, I had one on the skin between my lip and nose which lasted for about a week. The night that the scab fell off, I felt another one start on my lower left side of my lip- that also laster for about a week. Two days after that scab fell off, I felt one start inside my mouth, near the top of my gum line. It is abnormal for me to get them in such frequency and in all these different locations.
This time, I also awoke one morning to swollen lips with raised red spots/sores. My lips were weeping, but not from the sores or spots themselves. The next day they went away after various home remedies.
My doctor said it looked like a bacterial infection, as I wemt to him when the corners of my mouth had produced a yellowish crust that could be removed easily with warm water.
I applied diluted trea tree oil, witchhazel and l-lysine. I also to multi-vitammins, Bcomplex .
