Susan Waserman (amazing doctor) in Hamilton, Ontario. She ran all types of tests and has recently started me on IV gamma gobulin with the thought that new antibodies will help me fight off this recurrent problem. I was given IV steroids first with two tylenol (to help with the headaches that steroids will cause) . I had a serious side effect to the gamma and was given IV benadryl (slept really well). I am scheduled for the 2nd (of 6) in a couple of weeks.
Clinic doctor "I won't give you this, you need a family doctor". A legal fact or other excuse ?
FACTS:
1. I cannot get a doctor, up to 9 months developing trust & trueth, then refused.
2. I ask for copies of medical test results, often forget a the time, refused latter or $25.00 per page. I do have a "history" on paper for 7-8 years.
3. The new doctor application form/questioniare: No interest in my files.

Reciently in the past few years, my reactions have also happened with chapstick, alcohol, and ALL fruits except for apples and oranges. I have swelling in my upper lip, swollen glands, and a headache like you wouldn't believe. All they can give me is prednisone and hydroxizine, and tell me to stay away from these foods. Every time my lip swells, I feel like I can't leave the house as everyone is amazed at the size of my lip.

He just had to get a shot last week b/c he had sores all over his belly from biting and scratching. Now he has a fat bottom lip. He had the same thing in February, got a shot and it went away. I read that fish based foods can cause allergies. He only eats chicken flavored food but I had just given him a salmon flavored treat a day or so before the lip flare up. Anyway, I know that the vet will not want to give him another steroid shot so soon after the other one.

When we have leftover product from the lip injections we didn’t use she will save it and put it in a bag with my name on it and refrigerate it for next time. Steroid injections are generally used for exterior skin scars and not internal lip mucous membrane scars. There is a risk of fat atrophy with steroid injections. A consultation with a local plastic surgeon would determine if this might be appropriate.

Firstly, it appears that the dentist numbed the wrong part of my mouth as the top was numbed, and the work was to be down on a lower tooth. One of the injections caused a shooting, burning pain along my cheek and radiated towards my eye. After which the dentist left. A while later, the dentist returned, when asked if my lower lip was numb I responded that the top was numbed, the dentist was surprised and gave me more injections and immediately began drilling.
