I had filler under my left eye and on my left side of my lip about 10 weeks ago. my lip was so swollen and bruised. My whole left side of my face was numb including my nose all the way to my ear but I could still move it. Felt like I had been to the dentist. The numbness is still there but mostly on the side of my cheek into my ear. The last several days I have had severe pain on that side of my face. I don't think I will do filler again and I hope that this resolves.
I suggest you to get it examined from your doctor who has done the juvederm treatment. The other condition to be ruled out is formation of granulomas after the juvederm treatment. This indicates a reaction of the immune system to the gel.

I had Juvederm injections done under my eyes and in my laugh lines 9 months ago. The filler under my eye were too swollen and the doctor removed some of it but she did an uneven job and 9 months later, I still have lumps under my eyes and lumpiness under my laugh lines. Can Hyaluroidase still dissolve the product 9 months later? Will Hyaluroidase melt away natural fat/tissue or just the product? Also, some days the swelling/lumps are much more dramatic than other days.
I have a patient with bells palsy-which occured 7 years ago. due to increased aging she would like some juvederm,cheekfillers,etc....can i inject the bells palsy side of the face?
When I confronted her about it, she said that they were prescribed to her because she had gotten Juvederm injections in her mouth at work (she works at a dermatology office). I thought that was odd but took her word for it. A few months later, she asked me to grab something out of her purse and I noticed the same pill in there again.
Took her to the ER and the general surgeon sutured her lip. Now it is indented and her vermilion border is asymmetrical. Do I have any options for correcting the scar or is waiting the best option?

If you have been reading here very long, you probably already know that correct diagnosis is a tricky process. I hope your neuro will look at the MRI images himself and review them with you along with all your other test results. The radiologist may know physics and images. Only the neuro knows you.
They did cardiac enzymes, EKG and a stress echo, also a CT scan for pulmonary emboli...everything normal. They did not do the stress echo with enhancement. How important is this? I did not even realize this test could be performed with contrast dye. The doctor said perhaps a heart cath was the next stp OR increasing my Toprol XL dosage. Wouldn't a coronary artery problem at least show a blip or something wrong on the stress echo?
I see there is a simular question already in the forum. My question has to do with the after effects I've had with a lower face lift. It seems that off to the each side of my mouth I have a bulge. They are different from each other. On the left side it's like the skin didn't lay down on the underneath muscle and it pretrudes, I can grab it. (?) On the right side there is a spot the side of a golf ball with something under it. Like gooush. My Doctor thinks it's scar tissue.
If your doctor recommends it, then you have done well so far, you should feel fairly comfortable with him to do a small enhancement. There are no guarantees though so discuss it with your surgeon and come up with an educated decision.

I was on vacation with my hubby and we were drinking a few drinks every day. It looks like I conceived at that time unexpectedly. Now I am worried about a lot of things. For example, a benign hemangioma typically begins with peripheral discontinuous nodular enhancement with gradual central fill in on delayed images. On the other hand, a malignant hepatocellular carcinoma typically demonstrates initial hyperenhancement followed by subsequent washout on delayed images.
Also, MRI is not really used so much for initial screening of tumors. Typically, other tests such as US and/or CT are performed first.

I was told that the surgeon refused to perform an enhancement on the right eye as -0.5 difference is considered too miminal for an enhancement, and by performing an enhancement will have a risk impact if I need laser eye surgery in the future.
I'd therefore like to obtain a second opinion and would appreciate some advice as to whether what I am being told is correct.
