Hi. I would like advice on the skin on my lips. A month ago, when I went to bed, I did what this person is doing in this picture (I don't know how to describe it.) : http://farm1.static.flickr.com/21/38135119_dd100e9bc4.jpg?v=0 ; Just for no reason. I don't remember how long I did that for. I've done that before in different occasions and they've gone back to normal instantly. But the next morning, my lips didn't look or feel the same as how they used to be.
Surgery can’t be done on scar tissue due to the fact that tissue regrowth on a scar isn’t stable enough for sutures (lack of collagen) so, to keep the sutures in place, it would be necessary to go deeper or use tissue surrounding the scar. This would cause the scar on your lip to be larger, or more noticeable, than the existing one and the skin might grow in as a slightly different color.

When i was like, 4-5 a dog bit me on the lip and kinda ripped it a little and left a scar. It looks like a bump on my lip and then theres a little line right above my lip from it. i really want it to go away! Im 14 now and it still hasnt gone away. Everytime i meet somebody new, they ask about it and its really embarassing. PLEASEE HELP!
I had an angioma (red spot) removed from above my upper lip. They used a needle to cauterize the spot which was supposed to make it go away. It took a number of injections over several visits before the redness seemed to respond and fade a bit. But in it's place, I now have a triangular shaped divet about the size of the head of a pin where the skin is missing and no longer flush with the rest of my skin above my top lip.
Bone broth is recommended for leaky gut because of its collagen content, but collagen powder would give a more concentrated dose of the same thing.
Another good supplement is slippery elm which helps create a mucosal lining in the gut so that candida and other can't stick to the walls (this is what leads to leaky gut).
Anyway, I've been collagen powder with bone broth for 4-5 days now. Reactions seem to be lessening, will keep you updated.
I am a 61 yr old female who recently developed deep lip and mouth lines over the last couple of years.
I am a non smoker but I do facial exercises which may cause me to purse my lips more. Is there anything
I can do to soften these lines or make them disappear. I am not consistant with my moisturizers so need to keep at that better than I have been. Any suggestions?

I woke one morning to what looked lije a white head on my upper lip. No pain, no itching, no burning, just a whitehead that I pinched and it swelled immediately but was gone by the next day. I had a bad heat rash last summer and right after the weather started to cool up I shaved my vagina. I decide to make a paste of baking soda and water and slather all over to get rid of the nasty crust so I can actually get the medicine on my lip. With lots of patience and pain, it works. I gently scrape off most of it but I'm left with reddened, swollen lips. Very uncomfortable.
A few weeks ago, out of nowhere, my lips became very red and inflamed and my top lip seemed to be forming little white dots while my bottom lip looked like it was burned. It was very uncomfortable and my lips even began to swell. I went to my doctor and he said to "let it pass". I was very frustrated and the discomfort or inflammation did not go away for a whole week.
