Common Questions and Answers about Lip blister medication

I have had a "blood blister" on my bottom lip for more than a year now. It sort of gets better in the winter time. I remember going to a dermatologist once when I was younger and him giving me steroids for it and it kind of went away, but not all the way. My bottom lip is very sensitive to foods that are acidic and spicy. Toothpaste kills! I do have Polymorphous light eruption and I am wondering if it has anything to do with it? Or maybe if it's Bullous Pemphigoid?
Hello I had an unprotected oral sex with a csw last night, next day morning I had burning sensation in my lower lip and now I see there is a small blister in the middle of my lower lip. Does herpes blister show up in less than 24 hrs?
I have a pimple like clear round blister inside my lower lip. I'm concerned that it is herpes, a cold sore. It heals but it is still there, it comes out again. Should I be concerned or could it just be a mucocele?
In January I had a really bad cold sore blister on my bottom lip..I accidentally bit it and it just would not heal..In early march my primary care doc sent me to a dermatologist and he did a biopsy since it just would not heal..The biopsy came back negative for cancer but was identified as lichen simplex chronicus, the doc said it should heal within a few weeks with vaseline. Well it is now May and my lip is just not right..
He said that if I didn't use Abreva right away, it could blister and that I was lucky it did not. If you have this dry spot on your lip that feels like a piece of tape is stuck to it, go to your local drugstore right away and get some Abreva. Good luck.
If you look at most of the ingredients in your lip glosses/chapsticks/or any other lip product that you are allergic to, you can almost pinpoint what is causing your bad reactions. It's different for everyone, so I can't provide an answer for you guys, but I can tell you that I am allergic to Chapstick, Carmex, MAC lipglasses/glosses soft lips, and other random free chapsticks that I had gotten as gifts, ie rosebud's.
But now on the inside lip of my vagina there's a small blister (probably half a cm round) which looks like a regular blister. I hadn't noticed it previously and it isn't causing me any discomfort, and isn't sore to touch. I had one probably a month ago just outside my vaginal lips, which released a little blood and some puss, but healed really quickly. I have no idea what's wrong. We used protection; could it be a latex allergy?
My problem is I keep getting these blisters, either on the inside of my lip or recently in the back of my mouth between my upper and lower teeth. They are clear have no pain and disappear within a day or two. I can easily pop them and their is no pain at all. I can't show a doctor because they don't last long enough. I have been under a considerable amount of stress believing something was wrong with me.
this is about a 3 out of 10 on a scale of how red my top lip spot gets and how chapped my bottom lip gets. so imagine how red it gets when its a 10 : (. This condition is destroying my social life and killing my confidence. Please. I need assistance.
13 days ago, on a Friday night, I felt an itchy bump on my lip. I've never had a cold sore before and was hoping it wasn't that. I put some zinc cream on it and the next morning i could still feel it . definitely not a blister but it was itchy and irritated. It didn't really bother me for the next few days (i stopped worrying about it being a cold sore after visiting the local pharmacist/chemist who said it didn't look like one.
So frustrating because no amount or type of lip balm seemed to help (vaseline lip therapy, body shop lip salve, etc etc). Additionally, the skin above my upper lip became dry, red and irritated. About 2-3 weeks after that, I started experiencing swollen eyelids as well as dry, wrinkled, red, itchy patches above and below my eyes. I could not apply the most mild lotion to those areas because it would burn, but it was so dry I wanted to do something.
From the day I arrived I have had dry skin and dry lips due to the cold breeze, and just yesterday I noticed a small whitish, yellowish spot on the upper part of my inner lip which is like a blister. I don't know what is it. Can it be something related to STD or is it just a cold blister? Please advice as I am very very concerned. Thanks.
My son seems to have caught similar symptoms as you had in July 2006. One round blister on his bottom lip, one round blister on the center of his tongue, high fever (103 and 104), sore throat, enlarged glands, gums and teeth were sore and they were bleeding a little. This lasted 4 + days. On the first day, he had some symptoms so we brought him to see a Doctor. He got tested for Strep Throat but the test came back negative.
Is it normal to have tiny bumps on your inner lip of your mouth? The side where it is the mouth skin right in front of your lower teeth. Inner lip. They are very small bumps can only see when I really pull back skin. This normal? Glands or something?
For the past 6 weeks I've had a itchy burning upper lip that kind of feels like a cold sore, but never turns into a blister, just kind of red, raised and then dries, flakes and starts hurting all over again. Along with this I have a rash on legs, arms, and eye lids. My doctor saw me last week and thought the rash was ezcema, beleived that the lip thing was a chronic cold sore. She gave me Hydrocortison for eyelids and a steroid cream for my legs and arms.
i had a small blister on my lip, and two hours later i was swollen all around my mouth area. i had shingles about a year ago? the next morning i woke up with a feeling in my neck as if something was stuck and trying to make its way down! prior to the blister i had taken a biaxin, i'm wondering if i'm having a allergic reaction?

I'm a male. About 5 weeks ago, had unprotected oral sex on a prostitute (cunninglus) (for about 2 minutes)... I read elsewhere by doctors on this forum that unprotected oral sex on women is relatively safe sex. Yesterday, I had some kind of odd-looking "blister" growing on my inside bottom gums. Iit was unlike any other blister i've had before. It was rounder about a mm in size and was liquidy (yellowish). It literally grew in a matter of hours when I first noticed anything at all.
One more thing, I noticed there is a red spot on my buttocks, kind of like a pimple that has been rubbed/opened and only hurts if it is touched and it's more of a really slight burning feeling, the feeling you get if you touched an open pimple on your face, could this be herpes that I could have accidentally transferred before I developed the blister on my lip?
I think i had a chemical burn on my lip and upper lip cuz it began to form a blister but as soon as i bit it, it opened up and burned, so i quickly cleaned and put some vitamin E on it. But I really need it to heal up within a week. Any advice? i've been putting hydrogen peroxide on it and neosporin, should I just do nothing or is there anythin out there I can use?
I got a cold sore about three weeks ago. The sore itself is gone. There is no blister or scabs, it's not oozing or bleeding, and it's completely flat. However there is still a red mark on my lip that's been there for about a week now and it doesn't seem to go away no matter how much medication I put on it. Does this mean that the infection is still there or is this a scar?
Doctor, I recently received a hand job from a girl that had a fever blister (HSV1) on her lip. As she was giving me the hand job I asked her about the blister and she proceeded to tell me that she was putting over the counter medication on it. She had not seen a doctor. Then she briefly touched the blister with her hand and then continued to give me a hand job with both hands. I could not believe that she was using the same hand and I did not react fast enough.
The inside of my lower lip has slightly swelled, and it appears that a blister may be beginning to form on the inside of my lip by the purple/reddish mark. Is there anything else this could be? Could this be an allergic reaction of some sort? Is there a high probability that this is herpes?
Everyday tasks are very difficult because the blisters often rupture and the blood gets on her clothing, bedding, etc. She once had a similar blister to appear on her lip. Another time there was one in the genital area. She in not on blood thinning medication. She has extreme fatigue, muscle pain and insomnia. Her B-12 was very low and she has received several injections to treat this. Do you have any idea what this could be? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
hi, i received unprotected sex from an escort in april 16, than protected sex after. her lip looked fine before the oral sex, but after everything, i noticed that on her outer lip there was a red mark, no cuts. i asked her what it was and she said she ate too many french fries and made her inflamed. at the end she gave me a peck on the lip. i tried to move but was not sure if the mark made contact with my lip.
I always eat spicy food so thought nothing of it and love the taste of green Tobasco. That afternoon, my bottom lip (and only my bottom lip) felt a little swollen and stingy, so I kept rubbing them together (I had lipstick on, so there was some moisturizing going on as well). By that evening I had a few blisters. I put ice on it and it felt better. Over the next few days they seemed to pop and the skin was raw - just as a regular blister.
Last month I had a pimple or blister under my nose, close to my lip. It started off as a welt, the next morning it looked like a pimple, then by the end of the day it was oozing or weeping fluid, which dried and formed a crust. If the crust was broken, it would continue to weep fluid until it dried to form a honeylike crust.
About 2 weeks ago I had a blister on the rim of my bottom lip. I immediately thought it was a cold sore but had never had one before and haven’t changed my sexual partner in over a year so was skeptical. It came on like a mosquito bite; a slight itch and burning but only lasted about two hours. Also, it was not a cluster but one single welt. After the two hours in its place was a slight discoloration maybe a bruise. Two days later I had another one on the rim of my upper lip.
My son has a blister like fungus that keeps re-occurring on his fingers. It usually begins like a blood blister, on the palm side and between the joints of his fingers. Within a few days, it will be increasingly more blistered like, begin to swell and look like a fever blister that would appear on a person's lip. He does get the herpes type fever blisters on his lips occassionally, but can be treated with Abreva.
