3 days ago, I woke up to an ulcer like big hump in my lip (raising my bottom lip a good quarter inch) and redness. over the next 3 days, it has cracked my lips and caused the top layer of skin to break. The skin break is right where the wet inside of your mouth meets the inside of your lips, right in the middle. I am a hypochondriac and I am freaking out as expected.
I have applied few type of lipbalm and even petroleum jelly like vaseline and QV cream, but it does not show better effect.Lately, I have got a blister on lip. Then the blister breaks. I neither get kiss from anyone nor doing oral sex.I am afraid that i get oral herpes. i went for a pharmacist and she just advised me to use 'virless cream'.which is the cream for herpes.. Short periods of intense rubbing can cause a blister, but any rubbing of the skin at all can cause a blister if it is continued for long enough. Blisters form more easily on moist skin than on dry or soaked skin, and are more common in warm conditions. Sometimes, the skin can blister when it comes into contact with a cosmetic, detergent, solvent or other chemical; this is known as contact dermatitis. Blisters can also develop as a result of an allergic reaction to an insect bite or sting.
And so, getting elbowed in the face caused some flesh in my mouth to be cut off. I'm not sure if this was the problem, I can't really identify the problem on my lip. The only cause I can think of is that I was elbowed in the face. My personal care for my own mouth isn't great but it shouldn't cause this insanely annoying pain. Whenever I eat it hurts really bad, same with drinking water. So the only thing I can think of is that my teeth cut off some flesh of my gum. Is this treated?

They said to just keep watching it, they didnt think it was herpes the last couple of days it seems to be worse and when i wake up in the morning my lips are stuck together ecause of the clear fluid that leaks from the blister. It is so big it takes up on half of my upper lip on the inside of it. Is there anything I can do for relief?
I have a blister on the outside of my bottom lip. It happened when my boyfriend was tickling me and accidently hit me in the lip kind of causing me to bit it. Okay, so i have this blister on the center of my upper lip. Its not on top but in the middle of my lip. I woke up like this and im not sure what it is. It seemed to form over night? its not huge but its big enough to notice and keep me from leaving the house. it looks like a blister and its red around the surrounds of it. theres actually two when i look close. a bigger one and a smaller one located just about that. Its not itchy or anything but annoying. It looks like there is water in it.
I have a blister like bump on my lower lip, right in the centre. It is not weeping or *****, or painful. It is just annoying, as I can feel it there and it is visible when holding my mouth in a relaxed position. I can't pop it by squeezing it. I have only ever had the one partner (my husband) and likewise. Does anyone know what it could be?

Your description is consistent with mucous retention phenomenon( mucocele) of lower lip. The cause is that secretory duct of minor salivary gland was severed. Treatment of choice is surgical revomal of the minor salivary gland. Seeing an oral surgeon is advised.
For atleast the past month, I have one reoccuring water blister that occurs in the same exact spot. It is in the back of my mouth diagonal from my tonsil on the side/roof of mouth. Initially I would pop it to let the water out, but two days later it always came back. So I left it alone. It starts small, grows and grows as it fills with water, and eventually minimizes on its own, but if I remove the skin once it has minimized it bleeds very minorly. Then within days it is back again.
When this happens, the surface of the skin remains intact, but is pushed outwards as serum seeps into the newly created space between the layers. Short periods of intense rubbing can cause a blister, but any rubbing of the skin at all can cause a blister if it is continued for long enough. Blisters are most common on the hands and feet, as these extremities are susceptible while walking, running, or performing repetitive motions.
have you and your bf ever been tested for herpes to know your status? many things can cause lip blisters, if you aren't sure what this is, be seen and follow up on it with your provider. If your provider suspects oral herpes , a lesion culture can be done to confirm but you need seen within 48 hours of the appearance of symptoms in order for a lesion culture to be most accurate.
I about a couple days ago after being outside in the hot weather, the next day I relized that I had a couple blister like bumbs on my lower lip. Starting beginning of this year, I had a localized cluster of blister on my upper lip, and it disappeared one week later. But in another 5-6 days, I had another outbreak allover my lips, till now, I had it our break every week. Every time, going like feeling of sensitive, burning, then tiny blisters on the lips, yellow discharge and crust, then scalps on the lips, usually 1-2 days, it comes back again with same steps.
it still looks as if its trying to heal, like where the bubble was its a different shade of color than the rest of my lip, kinda pinkish. could this be just a water blister that was on my lip? or is that even possible?
To keep it short, my boyfriend came to see me on a Monday and gave me a kiss and a couple hours later I noticed a bump on my lip. I didn't think anything of it til the next morning when I seen it had inflated into a very small oval shape and what felt and looked like pus inside. It was confirmed pus when my finger nails accidently tore it open on the bottom a bit when I was playing with my lip.
Hello, are lip blisters 10 days after exposure usually seen in ARS? Can it be one of the ARS symptoms?
I had extensive dental work done on my right upper side which triggered the herpes virus to become active, but instead of going to my lip, it went to my right eye, so I had a fever blister in my eye. That can be very serious and a leading cause of corneal transplants. I went to an eye dr and he prescribed antifungal eyedrops...it went away without causing scarring to my cornea. The chance of me getting ocular herpes again is 100%, could happen in one month or ten years.
I'm 45, my top lip gets dry for a few days then a tiny bump shows up, then my lip swells pretty big, for a few days mostly at night. swelling subsides a little during the day has a tingling in it after several days my lip cracks and drains this happens a few times a year. They do not come out of the skin like a blister. They stay under the skin but cause it to rise as they get bigger. There are about seven locations where they occur, and they only occur in these exact locations. All locations are spread across my top lip, and not in the corners. It is very uncommon for me to have more than one or two at a time, and there seem to be three locations where it happens more regularly.
I have this little cluster of white blisters on my lower lip and I thought maybe it could be a cold sore. (Since I have gotten them before but they've never looked like this before.) I also thought they could be cold sores cause I am about 26 weeks pregnant and form what I've read and researched it say that you can have a break out due to pregnancy, stress, fatigue, ect... But I'm not sure if they are cold sores.
I have a similar clear blister inside my mouth (lip - inside, close to gum). But it is not blood filled. It is about 4mm in diameter and is completely painless. It came about rather quickly - but it is NOT going away. I've had it now for about 6 days. Someone mentioned such blisters could be related to other things... what are they? (Since the formation of this blister) I have not gone to see a doctor about it nor have I been tested for any STDs.
Hi, 'If a blister bursts, don't peel off the dead skin on top of the blister. Gently press the area to get rid of all the fluid inside, and then cover the blister and the area around it with a dry, sterile dressing to protect it from infection until it heals. Blood blisters should also be left to heal naturally. As with other blisters, if a blood blister bursts it is important to keep the area clean and dry, and protect it with a sterile dressing to prevent infection.
if you have herpes simplex 1 (cold sores/ fever blisters) and you have an active lesion on the lip, is the virus able to be spread durign intercourse thru bodily fluids (not including oral intercourse of course)
Certain allergic reactions too can cause this. Both Herpes type 1 and type 2 infection can cause blister on lip. Since you have this blister, it would be good to test for herpes. In all probability, this will disappear with your sore throat. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
