Can a prescribed Lidoderm/ Lidocaine Patch 5% give u a pain pill buzz? Ive watched some of my friends go thru bad DTs and eat patches that were suppose to only be applied. I get Lidoderm Patches and have been keeping it a secret just incase. I don't wanna get robbed cuz they really help with my pain. I need to know if one of them ever find my patch and eat it or use it... will they get any kind of buzz from it?

I went to my PCP yesterday and he gave me a LIDODERM, a lidocaine patch, to try and help with the pain in my neck -he thinks if that calms down so will the migraines.. theyve been everyday constantly for well over a month and a half, and no meds help.. nor do therapeutic methods i have here at home.. Has anyone here used it before? And did it help? I tried to use it last night but it wouldnt stick to my neck.

m prescribed a lidoderm 5% patch, which is basically a patch infused with lidocaine. It helps with the nerve/muscle type pain I have in the lower left leg facing outward. By itself, for bad pain it wouldn't be worth the money, but I'm prescribed Lortab 10/650's ( a narcotic ) and the two used together seem to help lower this pain better than either one treatment alone.

Has anyone ever used a pain patch for their TMJ pain? have some Lidoderm patches, which contain 5% Lidocaine, which I have for my fibaro and spine problems. I just got back from Reno, Nv, which was an 1143 mile round trip. The trip down was fine, but the trip back today was in rain, hail, wind and snow. Needless to say now in more pain than ever. I had a massage while there, concentrated on the head, neck and shoulders. Masseuse commented I had a major major amt of tight muscles and knots.

I take the Lidoderm Patch 5% (Prescription Only) I get a box every month and share it with my mom. I use it for spinal issues and she uses it for Neuropathy. The Lidoderm patches help her a great deal and me a little. Its worth a try. I guess the cost all depends on your insurance. They are worth a try.

t know if your doctor would approve but there is a patch called a Lidoderm patch that was created by a doctor for his wife who was suffering from shingles. It is not a narcotic, just a lidocaine patch. It works really well for pain in a specific area, they can even be cut and placed on various spots. I have one on my shoulder right now and it is helping with the pain.

That's the Lidoderm Patch and my hubby and I use the heck out of them. They are great. You can cut them down to conserve (for instance if you need to wrap around a really bad arthritic finger...you could get at least 5 to 6 strip treatments from one patch for one finger). DO pay attention to the 12 hours on 12 hours off. It won't bother you for a day or two but eventually it will irritate the heck out of your skin.

Just wondering if many on here have tried the Lidoderm patch? I have actually found it to help take off the sharp edges of pain in my back. I guess some insurances per my doc are kinda against it for anything other then for shingle pain, but my insurance did approve it for my chronic back pain.

ve been told Fentanyl patches should never be cut, they can release too much of the medication too quickly in the bloodstream resulting in an overdose. Others like Lidoderm patches (lidocaine) can be cut safely. but I was only told this by 1 medical professional so I haven't gotten more opinions about it. t heard anyone say they tried Lidoderm patches-they work well for any part of your body you are in pain, and you can cut the patches into smaller ones if you want. They are only made up of lidocaine (numbing) for surface pain, muscle pain, any pain. You wear up to 3 for no more that 12hrs and then take a 12hr break. Only one bad thing is they don't stick well, I have to use heavy duty med tape, but they are worth it. Plus, they are 235.

Is anyone out there using lidoderm patches for back and/or neck pain? My neurosurgeon just prescribed them for me--they're a topical anesthetic patch. I tried one, it seemed to help briefly. I am using a lidocaine patch. It is a numbing patch. I ration them though. They do help, but are expensive. There was another patch with an anti-inflammatory in it, but I am taking mobic orally, which helps me more.

s basically the same medicine as the lidoderm patch, but in gel form. I used it for my muscle spasms on my shoulders. Muscle relaxers work best for my shoulders, but I'm so sensitive to them and we are trying to find one that I can tolerate. Good luck.

I have not taken any narcotics since April 30th but, since August 3 have been in considerable amount of pain with 2 pinched nerves (specifically C-5, 6 and 7). My left shoulder and all the way down my arm and to the tips of my fingers "speak loudly to me"!! I have had a MRI and waiting to see the neurosurgeon Sept. 30! Sept 30 feels so long away when you are hurting!

Lidoderm patches (non-opoid). My husband just broke two toes...I cut them in strips and wrap around his toes. He said it reduces the pain dramatically. Voltaren Gel (non-opoid). The gel is used primarily for arthritis etc. I used on my shoulders because I have arthritis and bone spurs and within an hour of starting work I'll be in agony if I don't use some. These are the two things that I'm going to be relying heavily on so I can stay off the opoids (8 days clean now yay).
