Avatar n tn Noven Pharmaceuticals wants to come out with one as well, but their being tied up by Endo and a bunch of FDA nonsense. This is a more recent article about Watson: http://www.empr.
Avatar n tn Can a prescribed Lidoderm/ Lidocaine Patch 5% give u a pain pill buzz? Ive watched some of my friends go thru bad DTs and eat patches that were suppose to only be applied. I get Lidoderm Patches and have been keeping it a secret just incase. I don't wanna get robbed cuz they really help with my pain. I need to know if one of them ever find my patch and eat it or use it... will they get any kind of buzz from it?
Avatar f tn No I am not trying to force my religious beliefs on anyone but mentioning the closeness that I feel here but not always at church. Again, any information on the Lidoderm Patch? Love Peace and Blessings...
1182304 tn?1349305951 Just wondering if many on here have tried the Lidoderm patch? I have actually found it to help take off the sharp edges of pain in my back. I guess some insurances per my doc are kinda against it for anything other then for shingle pain, but my insurance did approve it for my chronic back pain.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Yes I tried the Flector patches and cream and so far not any relief. I tried the Lidoderm patch and no relief either. I can ask for lidocaine cream. I think the muscle relaxant helped the other day but not today. Oh well, I'll keep trying. thanks all.
Avatar f tn Is anyone out there using lidoderm patches for back and/or neck pain? My neurosurgeon just prescribed them for me--they're a topical anesthetic patch. I tried one, it seemed to help briefly. I've been taking Lyrica for about a month, trying to taper off hydrocodone (after 7 months of steady use), and wondering why I have not seen these lidoderm patches mentioned by anyone in any of the back pain boards I've looked at. Looking for input on this. Thanks.
9880688 tn?1414115647 do I ever understand what you are feeling. Have you checked with your Dr. about getting Lidoderm Patches and Voltaren Gel? I think I suggested this to you before but the pain has been so bad for me the last week I'm not sure if I did or not. Those patches are a godsend....12 hours on and 12 hours off. During the off I use the Gel. The Lidoderm was originally created to help Shingles patients but now they use them for arthritis issues and other pain issues.
Avatar n tn Can you ask for a Lidoderm patch or use heat? I was almost 2 months clean once and after using for 7 days....mildly...had to go through detox again although they weren't as bad and only lasted 2 days. Hope things go well. Your gonna hear alot of flush those Trams.
374225 tn?1269899262 I have used a couple forms of the Generic Patch and I have to tell you that there is a huge diference. I was getting the Patch by Sandoz which was working great and then the Pharmacy decided that Sandoz was too expensive and restocked the shelves with the Mylan Patch. After refilling my scrip with the Mylan I had noticed over the next day that I had increased pain and felt fluish. I brushed it off and chocked it up to me just not feeling good.
Avatar f tn MaryCarmel I am curious to know if the lidoderm patch only work where the patch is directly applied? Would one patch help an entire leg? I have access to a pool...trouble is it's not heated and super cold. I have been told a hydrotherapy may help my back pain but it hasn't been suggested for my nerve pain. I will look into the volt aren't and lidoderm and call my PM since I just saw him yesterday.
Avatar f tn t afford to buy my own generic right now.Does anyone know of a generic equivalent patch that the drug company will give me for free?
Avatar n tn 3) Lidoderm patches are patches with topical lidocaine, which works as a pain reliever. Lidoderm can work for low back pain among other things. Lidoderm, unlike Flector patches and Voltaren gel, is not a topical anti-inflammatory but rather a numbing medicine applied to the skin. 4) An over the counter option, though not as well studied, is Aspercreme cream, which is a topical salicylate (aspirin) pain reliever. It works by reducing swelling and inflammation in the muscle and joints.
Avatar m tn m prescribed a lidoderm 5% patch, which is basically a patch infused with lidocaine. It helps with the nerve/muscle type pain I have in the lower left leg facing outward. By itself, for bad pain it wouldn't be worth the money, but I'm prescribed Lortab 10/650's ( a narcotic ) and the two used together seem to help lower this pain better than either one treatment alone.
Avatar f tn t know if your doctor would approve but there is a patch called a Lidoderm patch that was created by a doctor for his wife who was suffering from shingles. It is not a narcotic, just a lidocaine patch. It works really well for pain in a specific area, they can even be cut and placed on various spots. I have one on my shoulder right now and it is helping with the pain.
Avatar n tn Hello there is a lidocaine patch called Lidoderm, it was made for people who have shingles pain. It is very helpful and in fact since being introduced people are using for back pain, tennis elbow, etc. It numbs the nerve pain. A doctor invented for his wife who suffered from shingles.
1571533 tn?1322943509 Hey. I went to my PCP yesterday and he gave me a LIDODERM, a lidocaine patch, to try and help with the pain in my neck -he thinks if that calms down so will the migraines.. theyve been everyday constantly for well over a month and a half, and no meds help.. nor do therapeutic methods i have here at home.. Has anyone here used it before? And did it help? I tried to use it last night but it wouldnt stick to my neck.
Avatar f tn Another thing I used before the pain went away was a numbing patch called a lidoderm patch. It is not a narcotic. It is a numbing patch with an ingredient like a dentist uses. My Dad is using it now for his knee pain. No side effects for me unless it kept me awake some times. You can wear it for 12 hours at a time, then take it off I hope this helps.
Avatar f tn s basically the same medicine as the lidoderm patch, but in gel form. I used it for my muscle spasms on my shoulders. Muscle relaxers work best for my shoulders, but I'm so sensitive to them and we are trying to find one that I can tolerate. Good luck.
9668401 tn?1405176684 That's the Lidoderm Patch and my hubby and I use the heck out of them. They are great. You can cut them down to conserve (for instance if you need to wrap around a really bad arthritic finger...you could get at least 5 to 6 strip treatments from one patch for one finger). DO pay attention to the 12 hours on 12 hours off. It won't bother you for a day or two but eventually it will irritate the heck out of your skin.
