lidocaine with hydrocortisone

One online surgeon suggested it could be folliculitis. I applied neosporin, with no relief. Last night I applied the lidocaine 3% 0.5% hydrocortisone as indicated and also on that area. It is at 4 o'clock on the anal rim. How much longer should I wait until I make an appointment with a dermatologist?

ask for a prescription of Hydroxyzone and I would also add go ahead and try a little hydrocortisone cream and maybe alternate it with a little lidocaine cream. My guess is it's part of the overall rash. If it doesn't improve, I would definitely call the doctor. Use the same philosopy as for the overall rash: clean, soothe, protect.

I feel it would be safe to say you have hemmroids,, you get them from heavy lifting, sitting for long periods of time, straining during bowel movements endless reasons. and the itching may just be from not cleaning well enough after b.m.'s and the hemmroids make this more difficult,, I personally use baby wipes and if that doesn't help, ask your dr. for a perscription for Lidocaine HCI 3% and Hydrocortisone Acetate 2.5% Gel.

So I recently had a raw spot on the head of my penis which I THOUGHT I got from masturbation. I went to my PCP yesterday and he gave me a LIDODERM, a lidocaine patch, to try and help with the pain in my neck -he thinks if that calms down so will the migraines.. theyve been everyday constantly for well over a month and a half, and no meds help.. nor do therapeutic methods i have here at home.. only 1/4 inch came out so a good 1/2 inch is still in there i can see it thru the nail. I have been experiencing chronic pain on the head of my penis for more than a year and a half. I an a circumcised male with hypospadias. Anything that brushes against the area feels like sandpaper. There are no contraindications for using lidocaine for the purpose described. The only danger is that lidocaine completely anesthetizes tissue, which is why you can cut or suture an area treated by lidocaine. Thus it is possible to cause a tear or injury that would not be noticed until the lidocaine wore off. In the case of normal intercourse, this should not be a problem.

Why did your doctor put you on such an odd regimen of cortef? A normal body reaches a peak around 8am, falls throughout the day to reach roughly half around 2-4pm, then keeps falling to a low around midnight. Taking it 4 times a day would be weird for a body. 20mg total is a replacement dose (I have no adrenals, and that is what I take) and to take it like that would drive my body nuts. I take 15mg at 7am and 5mg at 2 or 3pm.
