I have an erectile dysfunction since I have put xylocaine lidocaine 5% gel on my penis. The gel has expired since 2013 and I am feared also that I have put a lot. Three days after my erections are not so hard like before and they do not last long. I want to ask if it is permanent and what can I do.I am so anxious.Thank you for your time.

I had a 2nd trimester miscarriage the day that I had a mole removed at my dermatologist. They used Epinephrine and Xylocaine and when we received the autopsy report it revealed that my baby was perfectly normal and healthy without chromosonal issues prior to him dieing in my womb that day. For me it would come and go. Like other sx - I would never know what other day brings.

The only other time I have experienced any redness is from giving myself contact dermatitis in my vagina from too much aspercream with lidocaine down there. Am now just using coconut oil with lidocaine for pain and started a ssri. Saw a pain doctor who believes my pain is viral in nature-maybe shingles recurrence (which I have had in the past but not in groin area). Have you ever heard of any cases of herpes like this??

When I have needed any type of dental treatment that requires an anesthetic, my dentist uses an alternative to Novacaine...Lidocaine(Xylocaine) sometimes combined with Epinepherine. Make sure that your Dentist has a list of your current medications, so that he can be sure that there are no possible drug interactions. Novacaine has a very short half life, it is about 1.5-2 hours...So 4 days later, it is pretty unlikely that it was still in your system.

My Mom generally gets very little or very short term (a few days) of relief from an injection. They give her a mixture of Kenalog (liquid prednisone) and lidocaine, a numbing agent. The only topical cream known, through clinical trial, to delay ejaculation is one called Promescent. It contains the anesthetic xylocaine. I am not at all sure if this would be your best option though. Do not challenge each other too much. Take it easy and good luck.

Re: Lidocaine Enemas. I am warning everyone to be careful. My brother just died 3/31/12 from a lidocaine enema. He was only 28. (Lidocaine Intoxication) Lidocaine in liquid form. I don't want anyone elses loved ones to die like this. I hope everyone will be careful when dealing w/lidocaine. it is a dangerous substance when not used properly.

wants to do a lidocaine IV infusion, he says IV infusion of lidocaine is different than the dental injection. My cardiologist says I can't have lidocaine at all, due to my past severe heart reaction to it, but my pain dr. thinks it will be OK and has scheduled me for infusion for pain relief for this Friday. I dont know what to do, so any info on the lidocaine and any contraidictions with heart arrhythmias would be helpful. Thankyou.
